I don't think it is okay to disconnect and abandon your teammates just because you happen to dislike the killer. As I've said on a different comment, your teammates have nothing to do with whether or not you like the character, they are there to play the game. I don't DC against every Wesker I go against. I'm just…

Map offerings aren't the problem, the map themselves are. No killer wants to see The Game, no survivor wants Haddonfield or one of the Coldwind deadzones. If the maps were better balanced, something like the good old patch 3.7.0, we wouldn't have this issue.
-
Yes, friend, I agree.
-
I agree, my friend. Even if we are not getting a full revert, there is plenty of room for some aspects of his old power to come back.
-
Almost all of them. Dredge and the Unknown don't, but the others have their own, real names. Adriana Imai (Skull Merchant), Lisa Sherwood (Hag), Herman Carter (Doctor), and the list goes on.
-
Exactly! <3
-
I don't think the mechanic holds anything back, and honestly speaking I wouldn't like it if he became something like Vecna. I think a simple fix to the reveal mechanic plus making Freddy good at controlling the map, as he used to be, is enough for a good rework. But, as you've said, we will have to wait and see.
-
Well, I've seen this discussion before, from a content creator if memory serves me right, but as a long time Freddy I strongly disagree with this idea. In my opinion the sleep mechanic is not the problem with Freddy, at all. The problem is that Freddy's power is still designed around his original, flawed rework. Freddy's…
-
It is! Her lore is also pretty good. Well, the original one is. Not sure about the Tome, I rarely read those. Both really unfun killers, indeed.
-
Yep! I've also seen plenty of Thalita players and Steve.
-
Anna is the Huntress, my friend ;)
-
Wouldn't a gen timer buff and an extra gen time nerf cancel each other?
-
Where is Claudette? She is a really popular survivor.
-
As survivor I struggle against killers who are extremely oppressive in chase, such as Xeno or Nemesis. I'm used to a Dead by Daylight where the majority of the killer roster could be looped in the regular manner. That was the way I learned to play DBD, that is gameplay I love. So if I play against characters who render…
-
What I'm really excited for is Shoulder the Burden. Depending on what changes they make, this perk has a chance to be really good and healthy for the game.
-
He is, actually, in the newer one. This is slightly outdated, a character or two have changed placements. Yes, facing Freddy is always an amazing experience! Unfortunately we just don't see him very often.
-
Maybe Cowshed can be adjusted separately from the others. Because I don't think it is a good map the way it currently is, but considering it was very unbalanced in the past a full reversion probably wouldn't work either.
-
Of course <3 My favorite character in the game, no matter if I am playing him or against him. Seeing Freddy is always fun! Here, I can share my "fun to play against tier list". It is slightly outdated, but still mostly accurate:
-
Yes. So much so that, before his release, I had never disconnected from a game out of dislike towards a character. I really don't like doing that, because it hurts my teammates and they have nothing to do with my likes / dislikes towards killers and their powers. I had a perfect record… until Wesker was added to the game.…
-
If I see you in my lobby, I'll just farm with ya 😉 Please don't. Just tunnel me. That way I can find another match, hopefully against someone who is fun to play against. …I'll resort to the old reliable:
-
I think all Coldwind Farm maps should be reverted back to better iterations.
-
Indeed, my friend. I feel nothing but disdain for this character in DBD.
-
This. I agree completely, friend. I would also like the option to turn them off, if possible. If I hear another "Poor performance indeed" I'll go insane.
-
Yes, I agree. Generally speaking the killer meta was way better in the past than the one we have now.
-
I agree completely, my dear friend. I remember when I first started playing DBD it was reasonable for a survivor to keep track of aura reveal. A Nurse's Calling, BBQ, Bitter Murmur, a few add-ons here and there and Freddy who had it basekit. That was it. You could expect survivors to understand which aura reveal the killer…
-
Well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, of course.
-
Speaking of Wraith and new players, I remember my first time getting face-camped was against a Wraith. Original Mount Ormond, if memory serves me right.
-
Trickster needs a rework, I'd say, and they need to lower his movement speed back to 4.4 He is miserable to play against in his current state.
-
I really miss the time when people would do that every match because BBQ was basically the only aura-reading perk you had to worry about. Peak DBD.
-
Buffing the hook timer doesn't even make slugging necessary, at all. Players just choose to slug, that is all that happens.
-
I do. Force of habit, really.
-
Yeah, the mechanic worked better before Flashbangs. It is more manageable.
-
Trickster hate, most likely. And Vittorio had no reason to try his luck with 3 bots, the match was lost for him.
-
Yep. The nerf was a healthy change.
-
Yep, I've actually seen it happen. P94 Skull Merchant during the Halloween event. She played really fair, the way killers used to play back when BBQ was around. Got 3 people, I escaped through the hatch. Still not enough to stop Ada from disconnecting and flame the killer in the end game chat. That is one of many reasons…
-
To be fair, I've seen petty DCs and hook suicides against Skull Merchant even after her execution. The only reason it is no longer a common scenario is due to the fact people barely play her anymore, which is absolutely understandable.
-
Yep, my fellow 2018 player, there are indeed a lot of perks that shouldn't have been changed. BBQ, WGLF, Ruin, Thrill of the Hunt, Remember Me (never understood why they nerfed it only to add No Way Out years later), Spine Chill, and the list goes on. DBD has a very long list of things that shouldn't have been changed.
-
Yes, the blinks would have to be kept for a rework to not fail. It isn't a bad suggestion at all, I'd say :) Honestly, all I see is the huge drop in matchmaking quality after the system was added to the game, something we've yet to recover from. That whole situation was a mess. No one wanted that system in the game, and it…
-
To be fair, DBD was released without MMR and when the system was first introduced most people hated it. This was not something people wanted or asked for.
-
Yeah, I can understand the reason it was removed, but generally speaking I don't think the game's balance should take priority over theme and atmosphere.
-
Honestly I would leave it as it is. After experiencing this perk while it was meta it is safe to say I don't want to ever see it again.
-
To be fair, Nurse did receive a few nerfs throughout the years. I remember when I first started playing DBD she could have 5 blinks with certain add-ons. What has always been off the table is a complete rework, which I think is a good thing. DBD reworks have a really bad record. Freddy? Worst one in the history of DBD.…
-
Wraith is fine as he is. I will say though, I don't think they should have removed the Lightburn mechanic. It made a lot of sense thematically, as the killers in DBD are sensitive to light. You can clearly see it on the perk description for Lightborn and the original description for Shadowborn: "Unlike other beasts of The…
-
Yes, he does. Freddy has suffered long enough.
-
Well, he is set for changes in January, so maybe there is a chance.
-
Well, my fellow Freddy enjoyer, I remember reading posts here about people who experienced anxiety when playing killer, but unfortunately I don't remember who exactly who wrote those posts, sorry. I am sure they will find their way here eventually :)
-
Yeah, I don't have much reason to play killer this time. The first time I wasn't going solo as killer, and overall I think the first version of 2v8 was better than this one. I basically don't play anyone other than Freddy and Knight, so having to go Wraith every game isn't really fun.
-
If you're unsure maybe wait for a Sale I read that as "wait for a Sable" and I was really confused for a second.
-
The answer is neither. It has always been the answer.
-
Thank you, my friend! I must say it was heartbreaking to find out we are not getting his old power back, but I still have some hope they'll come up with something good.
