As a survivor it feels really, really bad to run a killer for 3-5 gens (a skillful play) and have the game taken from you because, after a long run, the killer finally got their lucky hit. The folks calling that a free win are likely inarticulate, or upset. The large amount of pressure for lowered opportunity cost is what…

It's actually quite easy to get a sense of the map as a survivor after you play it a few times. It's definitely different, and leads to slower games, but it's an interesting map with more depth than the initial frustration leads you to believe. Ive played it a little less as killer, and the FPS view makes it a little…

Well, ideally, if they're not exploiting the unfair bits of the mechanics, they won't be affected. Right now the only thing that stops unsavory behavior is basically a gentlemens agreement. Most folks just wanna codify it.
-
Well, yeah, duh. Lol These discussions are usually about how to keep the effect the same, and eliminate exploitable mechanics. Since we have folks who -WILL- abuse it, it helps to make abusing it too inconvenient to do.

I wanted robotnik david. Also, I literally play every day and have tons of fun. Giving BHVR an extra $10 for the pass was a nice way to have more goals and support the game. I've only ever bought cosmetics during sales. Same logic though. I play a lot, I can kick in a few bucks to keep the lights on.
-
Eh, that just seems like an unnecessaryily surv sided design choice. A one and done stun, possibly from each member of my team, isn't a tool to help us play better, it's a way to bully and be invulnerable off the hook. The strike is decisive. Make yo decision. Make it count. You only get one. Etc... And if they tunnel? Get…

That's not a bad idea if they leave the timer long enough to heal. Can you take a hit 'officially' if the hit puts you to the ground?
-
I'd agree except for the "whenever you're unhooked" part. It's fine as a one time get out of jail free, still very strong. (Oh, and maybe drop the haste to 7 seconds, then it's a double m1-boost) The idea of killing the timer when you take a progressive action, or the killer commits to another player is about as perfect as…

If they removed the aura reading, I'd be fine with leaving it as it is. That little bit of extra info is too high value to be a BOGO.
-
I mean...this is snarky but it's actually legit. My first reaction when the gen fizzles isn't "gotta get ruin" it's "fuch, guess I'm here now." Which does lead to riskier greed plays, but once you do it a dozen times youre like "okay, I'm not gonna get this whole gen done, but if I can get it to 70-80, and win my chase, I…
-
It's silly, but I really do love (and try to reinforce) the idea that we all just really want to play together. Were humans and we never outgrow that, we just get cooler toys.
-
I mean...no shame...but your argument is shaky at best. I love hiding. It's the ultimate "I outwitted you, nyah nyah"... But you want to take away the part of the game where you....run away from the giant murder monster. In favor of a game where survivors sit in one spot so you can get cool slow kills? Disregarding that a…

That wouldn't be terrible if they reworked the keybox spawns so they're a little less RNG heavy. Like, RBTs now are just a hassle if you get a hat before 3 gens pop. It'd be nice if they were SCARY but not unfun as a side effect. 🤔
-
That was a reply to a discussion about balancing the game with a weight toward high ranks. That's why I swapped it. Here I was making fun of you for being a jerk. At least get my lies right, homie. :D
-
I thought this was different thread when I replied, lol. Just stop being a turd dude. It's a game.

I think maybe you should sit in the corner until you can post without being outright mean. If you just wanna be gassed up for your bad game, not have a back and forth, maybe you should take a break until you can be polite?
-
I didn't realize how badly I wanted to see that until right now....
-
That first guys a dbag. Those other 3? Practical DaVinci's of modern comedy. (Dunno why that quoted twice.)
-
Perspective, man. Glibness aside, a games service that works perfectly fine 98% of the time is the dang future. It ain't perfect, but getting bent out of shape over dropped frames and ray tracing is gettin up their when we start talking about first world windmills. So we don't get a ps5 super performance boost....wooo?
-
This is like being mad your perfectly good ferrari doesn't become a super ferrari when you put new tires on...
-
This place is weird. You guys is weird.
-
Yeah, basically. Cujo or the GreatValu™ equivalent. If the 18 killer doesn't use smell or sight in any special way a big dog would be a fun way to go for it
-
*plays green rank on PC with a controller*
-
I was thinking maybe a Grimm? Like a giant ass dog that sniffs and jumps. Like demo but with mad ups.
-
I want a killer that launches their whole body through the air in a ranged attack. Like pingpong had a baby with bunny mama.
-
😭😭😭😭
-
Clam Spirit: you have an affinity for the shallow ones. Soft burbling noises and water spit are increased by 100% at all times.
-
I don't think lagswitching works with ded servers. I think it's just latency or something. Or random other hack. But maybe not ls.
-
I'll usually give a last hit, or leave my item as a thank you. Especially with cross platform and the lack of chat. Some of us survs like to be good boys.
-
I knew someone would poop their pampers about the removal the INSTANT I saw paulie had two twitchies in his inventory, lol.
-
That's the thing though, they might not be able to get bots functional in the base game as readily as mobile. Since mobile is new, mostly ground up I'd assume, and likely built with scalability in mind in a way that wasn't realistic for early days dbd. Like, maybe they want bots but as the game is now bots won't work? Or…
-
After watching his video I thought about that. Bot mode would be amazing....but can it be feasibly implemented in base dbd? We all know how cobbled together the game is, it was made years ago and bhvr has just, as naturally happens, become more capable in what they CAN do, but they're hobbled by the weight of what they…

Actually, now that I think about it I saw someone mention that as a PC killer they see survivors who look back less frequently. They hypothesized that this was because they're using a gamepad. This might actually have more of a knock on effect than I would have imagined. It's not a stretch to assume that players with a…
-
As a primarily console survivor playing more on PC lately, I've noticed that I play more stealthily and patiently than similarly ranked PC players. Not that one's better or worse, I'm just more likely to sneak and hide. And they're more likely to run and loop.
-
Haha, yeah, gift in disguise. That's what I was trying to reassure OP. That the tech basically counters itself because it's for the memes. :P
-
A player, Ayrun, made a video showing a silly combo that lets a team of three pick a fourth off the ground faster than the killer can clean their weapon. It's cool, and fun, but kinda broken. But I was saying up top it seems to need so much effort to work it's only worth it for the memes.
-
Yeah, it just seems like a good bit of fun that everyone will get sick of once the shine wears off, lol.
-
Farm them? lol I watched video, I think I'm thinking of the right one, and while it's kinda nutty it seems like you need a lot of effort to make it it's worst. Kinda like Otz's autodidact build. When it works it's awesome, but you have to change your entire play style and ignore objectives to make it work. So you probably…
-
But..."happen" is so dramatic. What this all boils down to is folks not liking the quantity/quality of event luxury items. It's reasonable to be irritated...but to push the needle past irritated into borderline boycott and righteous indignation is supremely silly. If you don't want it, don't like it, don't need it: don't…
-
I don't get why so many players get bent out of shape when a business sells them more optional products for their already paid for product. You aren't required to buy cosmetics to enjoy the game. We don't -need- extra mechanics to have the fun we already enjoy. So we got a lackluster freebie this year? Big deal, lol. 2020…
-
She's free on switch base game too. Sorry if someone said that already, lol, Im late.
-
It's just not super fun. It's not impossible, but it's like an Extra Extra Hard Mode when you might not be looking for it. I advocate for it head no belt, lol. Never DC tho, always try to beat sweaty bunny mama.
-
I'm waiting until people have more than 72 hours available for general play. I feel like once people adapt and optimize, he's gonna be extra scary. The community needs to learn to WAIT when things are new. Give changes a few weeks before we decide things are broken or bad. Unless it's a big, exploit, etc.
-
Lol, that sneaky CTA at the end. I mean, it's obvs a bug and will probably go away in a nearby hotfix. May as well play with the broken mechanic while it's there, have some laughs before it's gone. Makes it sound like playing against blight will be extra scary until hotfix though, lol.
-
But Frank would be such a great M1 brute~ 😍 Or very possibly a stealth killer oddly enough...🤔 He could have some sort of power based around his propensity for turning people into horrible dry husks, lol. (EDIT: I forgot about his time as a murder-tadpole. He could be a size changing killer. Start the match as scrappy…
-
I will always vote Frank Cotton over pinhead. (He's the guy who opens the box, pinhead is just the face we all know.) But on a more general note, I'd love to see a quadrupedal killer. Like a giant dog or predatory animal. A killer that moves and attacks differently would be awesome. Maybe something with a full-body jump,…

I recorded a few games last night as bubba, and I felt that I probably shouldnt have gotten a good...20% of my hits? I know they're tweaking it and I wanna compare later because good hits feel RIGHT and bad hits feel waaaay off.

When in doubt (death impending) always boop the snoot.
