At this point i find surv matches instant as a solo, no matter when i play 2v8. But as killer i still need to wait 5-15 minutes. But i have so much more fun on both sides, i waited years for that. Really hope one day this mode will be a permament alternative with all killers to play. Might also help with the queue times.…
-
2v8 just shows how fun the game can be without MMR, any matchmaking, for BOTH sides! And i think A LOT players missed that.
-
I'm actually suprised to not see more slugging, esp. when there are no perks to counter it in 2v8. Most killers really enjoy going for multiple hooks and chases, thanks to them all!
-
Bond isn't selfish at all, if used correctly. It allows you to not run into your mates while getting chased, so they can push the gens. Takes a while until you use bond to split up. But you can still use to group up, if you really need a heal.
-
Keep in mind you have 0 control over your solo mates nor the killer If you're mates are bad the only win condition left is hatch (which i don't like, but it is what it is) The only thing you CAN do is to bring a good build (1 team aura perk + 1 anti tunnel perk at least is a must) In general i don't think a bad, not…
-
… keep complaining and gaming.
-
Say it when you really feel/mean it, don't force it. No need to wait or to make it super complicated. Let's just face it, most ppl don't like losing, no matter if it was a GG earlier or not and DBD isn't different here. Just be aware that both sides play their objective (even harder since MMR) and both sides don't really…

I'm taking a break because of the rubberbanding/lags still happening, even they said it's "fixed". I heard for many ppl it even got worse. Just bring a farm offering as survivor, it's really bad. I'm on Xbox Series X and it happens on PS5 aswell. I also reproduced the issue in the tutorial, so it's def not my internet,…
-
I wish ppl in here would also mention in which region they're playing. Because it's not just the time when you play, the region is a factor on top. What happens at peak times, usually ~ 6PM-12PM, weekends and holidays, the playerpool becomes much larger so the game prioritieses queue times over MMR and you get a wider…
-
I see a lot "thinking and asuming" here, the truth is somewere in between. From my exp alt accounts are very common in many online games, especially from ppl with a lot of hours.
-
Show who got invited AFTER the match instead. Should be easy to do with a symbol in the endscreen lobby as BHVR already claimed to have SWFs stats. I think many killers would be suprised when it's a 2 man SWFs or just 4 good solos. Also i would love to see icons for each plattform post game, like in other online crossplay…
-
Always better to take a break, play with friends, play killer or just play another game if you're not having fun. If you continue and you just ######### on hook you just make it worse for the remaining solos + giving really bad data/stats.
-
That's how Shadowborn worked before the change, it is what it is. Most ppl will say "just face a wall, be aware" and i agree… until they have Backround Player and/or use Flashbangs, or the downed surv is in a pallet or open corn field. I have >20k and actually STARTED using Lightborn, which is really sad if you think about…
-
Don't listen to "just crank up sensitivity and FOV to the max". Sensitivity was doubled in a patch long time ago, so 50% is 100%, 100% is 200%. For me 75% is the sweatspot with all killers. And keep in mind that increasing the FOV also makes it easier to get blinded. I also noticed that some cosmetics tend to clip with…
-
I don't think that's a Chaos Shuffle nor a SWFs problem, it just shows what MMR did to the game. Good players are doing the objective as efficient as possible. Which means survivors splitting up on gens and killers tunnel camp. They don't even need to be SWFs, good solos with gamesense and teamperks can genrush even harder…
-
I do it for 2 reason. One) Sometimes to punish the mentality of slugging for a 4k after the killer had a pi** easy game. Two) In many games hatch equals bleeding out at the end, it's both a draw towards the individual survivor. And i won't do it, even will crawl under the next available hook if i had a GG. That's…
-
Keep in mind, higher FOV also makes flashlights/flashbangs easier. Have it on 100 with 75% sensitivity on for all killers on console.
-
Ahhh, SWFs - the only thing that never got touched since they added the option to play with friends, know their loadouts, skilllevel and having potential extra communication. And even after adding MMR we're still trying to balance around them without acknowledging the big elephant in the room which is SWFs. How do ppl not…
-
Would be more chaos / fun if it would give random items / addons and offerings aswell, or no at all.
-
Chaos Shuffle either should give random items / addons / offerings aswell, or no at all.
-
In short: You need to make killers regret tunneling. What i read here is the opposite, which leads into even more tunneling.
-
I don't think it's a good thing to "manipulate" your, you're teammates and the killers MMR. Stats are already meaningless, used as bad data for balance. If anything, it makes things worse in the long run.
-
Btw, turning off crossplay on XSX and PS5 is the same. It will take ages to find a match as you won't get matched with older plattfom generations for some reason (besides SWFs).
-
That's a weird mentality. If you want to "punish" tunneling, you need to make the killer regret it, not rewarding it. I mean, i get it when it happens more often. But even a weak link can equip OTR or DS. Most of the time i'm not mad at the killer for tunneling, i'm mad at my mates not doing gens.
-
Just noticed this with Kate aswell last night, no more unique lobby music.
-
Don't just say "taking a break", DO IT! It's better than killing yourself on the hook or DCing. In the long run taking breaks is the ONLY thing we can do to prevent the game from dying.
-
You'd be suprised how many gamers (and content creators) use a VPN in multiplayer games. I'd say in most cases they get invited by their friends who play in different regions. But i always find it silly when they complain about bad ping like… What do you expect is gonna happen? ^ What's not cool is using VPN to play in a…
-
Finding and tunnel the weak link is the most efficient play, because even bad survivors will do gens. In my solo exp most killers will avoid me, even i'm on another plattform and never bring items to make them go for me. But you can't force a killer to chase you. So most of the time another solo gets tunneled and i die…
-
I wouldn't even call it a buffed or new DS. They just reverted the nerf from 3secs. back to 5. And we have conspiciuous actions to keep in mind. This wasn't the case when DS was 5 secs in the past.
-
@Sogo Unnecessary as everything over 100% healing won't make a big difference anyway. Just pick We'll make it. And for your last slot: Bond or Kindred are the best aura perks as they just work overall, even when your build doesn't. Especially in solo Q….
-
+1 for the ingame name reference. And still playing Pig. As surv all i see is Pain Res Pop, Pain Res Pop, Pain Res Pop… like almost every game. And hey, i get it. It's the "strongest" gen defense left and pretty much needed when you reach a certain MMR. And i know for fact that many killers who use it are bored of it…
-
You're right, wiggling doesn't do anything. Keep on, stop wiggling! (But please only when i play killer)
-
When did they added DC penalties? Must be years now… Can't remember. How was it without it? And can you even compare that to today where survivors would DC for lit anything without any consequences? I fear getting rid off penalties would be the final coffin nail for solos.
-
Why can't BHVR just ban players for using any 3rd party program and / or changing ingame files so EVERYONE is on the same playing field? "Using 3rd party software or other tools to gain any kind of unfair advantage that wasn’t intended by the game, except if they have been whitelisted by us."
-
Just wait a few years until they will show up in the store. (Like alomst every cosmetic)
-
The system can't tell the difference if a player DCd intentionallly or not.
-
I care more about a GG than the outcome. Most stats don't matter in DBD as they never tell what really happend in the trial.
-
Same like using filters, this time with sound. The only reason it's not bannable is BHVR can't really do anything about it. If you take the game THAT serious you already lost anyway. Also, very fair with console crossplay. NOT!
-
I'm actually suprised to see so little killers still don't just go with full slug builds. When you look at the win conditions, slugging is the fastest and most efficient a killer can play. "Good" killers shouldn't care about BPs, Pips and the survivors fun. And yes, slugging is obv the best counter to potential BGP aswell.
-
Killing yourself on hook is even worse than DCing in most scenarios, as those kills count for stats (bad data) and no bots will help. Playing survivor is a TEAM effort! If you fu** up your team on purpose, the other 4 players have all the rights to be mad about it. I wonder if these are the same ppl who want DC penalties…
-
Hello there! At this point i would say even BHVR doesn't know anymore. But i think the most balanced the game can get is when both sides play casual. Imo the difference between solo and SWFs isn't that big at the low/mid level.
-
If a gameplay-loop is good, you don't need to take a break from it. DBD is still unique, but forcing MMR based just on kills and escapes was a huge mistake.
-
How do you know this survivor didn't do gens or anything but hiding? And yes, working with the other side CAN result a temporary ban.
-
I just dogde any red pings and anon names. If someone has TTV in their name you can be 90% sure they aren't streaming atm anyway, at least in my exp.
-
Sadly DBD became more and more about advantages and knowlegde. Survs hold shift W, rush gens, pre-drop, bodyblock when they need to and killers just camp and tunnel their objective aswell. Also don't forget the big RNG factor the game has. If i would want to show off my "skill", i def wouldn't pick DBD for it.
-
The most boring part of DBD happens when 2 survivors are dead and a few gens are left. You know, the "Hiding for hatch vs. slugging for the 4k scenario". How to fix it?
-
Only downside to shift W is running into your teammates on gens and the killer goes for them. That's why WoO and Bond are (almost needed and) so strong in solo Q.
-
I always found hook trading at the end boring, as 99% the gates CAN negate the EGC. Just let them regress VERY SLOWLY to make it a bit more interesting. A survivor could still wait there to open it.
-
Tried it on XSX, couldn't really tell a difference. And as the setting wasn't saved after quitting the game, i didn't touched it again.
-
It used to, but they changed it a while ago.
