DBD is one of those modern games who are designed to be addictive but not in a way that's truly engaging and rewarding in the long term, and more people are starting to realize this as time goes on. BHVR can't rely forever on just bringing new players to milk and getting carried by licenses. I'm an old school type gamer…
-
The devs don't apply the same logic for survivors because so many of them still suck so hard at the game that even with the copy paste meta build, they still die a lot since they exclusively rely on getting carried by perks. Nowadays you'll notice that even the kind of survivor who just camps pallets and still gets…
-
Well put. It's also another typical case of bad survivors getting caught too quickly where they probably shouldn't have and not really understanding the counterplay of the killer, which leads to an easy snowball and people coming here claiming "it's just an automatic win".
-
The thing is that you're only looking at it from the perspective of picking the strongest thing and winning without taking pure, simple fun into account. When Wraith got buffed, he suddenly rised up from irrelevancy and become popular, and while it's true that many people picked him because he was easy to use and pretty…
-
See, it's just talk out of the ass without any real counter argument. As always these types of threads end up being a massive circle jerk. And let's say someone is truly only interested in playing the easiest/strongest killer, it's funny how it gets painted like it's such a vile thing as if oh my god, survivor is so much…
-
"In the case of Freddy, on the other hand, you had a Killer that was very strong without needing much thought or skill. Dropping a couple traps at a loop would yield very strong results with very little risk or strategy. His slight tweaks aimed to make the strategy of spamming traps constantly while in a chase less…

Huntress is still incredibly popular like top 3, and she's not easy, but according to your logic, she would have dropped massively in popularity once they nerfed Iri Head and the exhaustion add-ons, but that didn't happen. Maybe most people are not playing Spirit because they simply don't find her as fun? No, that couldn't…
-
Yes, and this future Clown buffs will probably come by 2026, just like the 5 years it took for BHVR to change Trapper's base trap capacity from a 1 to 2. Delusional thinking.
-
So he finally stopped being delusional thinking the devs actually give a ######### about his hours long videos.

How can a legacy player have so many bad takes
-
This is always the same argument that gets perpetuated with every killer nerf. "The good X mains are gonna be fine" only for these "good" players to never be seen when i'm playing survivor.
-
The thing that never changed is that he's always been overrated.
-
He's also slowed down to 92% while charging. BuT yOu jUsT cAn'T sPaM tHe ChAiNsAW bRuH
-
No. This is just another stupid oversimplified argument that obviously doesn't take into account how easily counterable he is by survivors with brain cells.
-
Hag is the prime example that contrary to the popular belief of "you just play X killer because it's easy", players don't just want something that's strong, but it also needs to be fun to use. Hag is good, although a bit too overrated, but despite her being better than many other killers, she's so unpopular because no one…

Wraith doesn't really care about Sprint Burst. The problem with him is in the loops, not catching up, so Dead Hard is far more annoying. Any killer with a catch up power is better going against Sprint Burst than Dead Hard.
-
Survivors literally do the exact same thing and to a much bigger extent. I don't think people will complain as much about Sprint Burst if it ever becomes as popular because the best killers have better tools against holding W. Nurse and Blight against multiple Sprint Bursts isn't as detrimental as multiple Dead Hards.
-
Only the DBD devs are capable of gutting something just because it's considered "unfun". That alone is massive red flag for the quality of the current team and the future of this game. I didn't really like going Deathslinger either, but making killers clunky is such a trash design decision that it shouldn't be forgiven.
-
Didn't you know that only survivor is allowed to be a snoozefest because "99% of people just wanna chill with friends"? Don't you dare complain when obviously killer is the easiest it's ever been. Baby killers only want ez 4ks all the time smh.
-
The devs traded their chainsaws a while ago and now Billy is the boy with the bootlegged one. Even with curving into account, Bubba is still way easier and more consistent in chases. If you want someone who goes fast, just play Blight instead. Billy is not worth the time and effort until they decide to do something about…
-
EU is pretty much Nurse, Blight, Bubba, Huntress a good 80% of the time. I think we did a pretty good job so far
-
Billy nerf primary reason. I just don't find anything else as fun to play as old Billy for me to bother with all the annoyance of killer. Blight could have been an alternative, but i'm not a fan of all the sliding and weird techs. If i decide to boot up the game every now and then, i stick to survivor.
-
I really doubt BHVR is gonna nerf your Rin-chan again. They generally don't nerf killers twice, they go hard once and tell them to gtfo. More than anything you should be grateful they didn't completely nerf her into the ground like the others.
-
There's no justification. I heard more than one dev trying to justify the nerf, and their arguments always show that they have a total lack of understanding of how Billy works. They always think they're smarter than anyone else. As for the community; with every killer nerf there's always this minority of people preaching…
-
Don't worry Sluzzy, Bubba is probably already on the dev's "overperforming" radar.
-
Because no one of them is really playing Billy to win. Why would you pick a buggy high effort/low reward killer with trash add-ons for trying hard when there are much better options.
-
A "bug fix" that apparently they forgot to mention in the patch notes. Very believable.
-
Modern DBD feels stale and lifeless to me. Another reason why i barely play anymore is because i miss the old animations and the atmosphere of the maps. They could have simply updated the models of the old maps a bit but they decided to change their look completely. BHVR has this annoying habit of changings things that…
-
I think that another reason you won't see it much is the same as to why SB is much less popular that DH despite it being extremely good too. Most people find DH to be more fun and choose to pick it over anything else because they can dodge things, use it for distance, do fancy saves etc. instead of something that let's you…
-
And who said it was gonna be better than Dead Hard exactly? It's debatable what the best exhaustion perk is, but Overcome is an objectively good perk. There's no argument to be made for calling it bad.
-
Well, what did you expect? He was never popular before and people demanded nerfs for Topknot, which for how strong it might have been, the main counterplay to Oni is to delay him from getting his power in the first place. He's another killer that has to deal with CoH on top of getting nerfed in the same patch.
-
More than anything it's crazy how the devs want to keep No Mither as a trash "hard mode" perk that no one uses precisely because of that... The only reason why the killer won't tunnel you is because they're accepting your memeing, but by any means they're not obligated to do that and just troll you instead.
-
I think that Nurse was the excepetion because she still has the strongest base kit. Pretty much every Nurse either runs double recharge to cancel the cooldown mechanic or range + one recharge, which it's still pretty good. An extra blink add-on is nutty, but i'd argue it's more fun to have strong things in the game than…
-
Sorry, but i don't really care about a streamer or one guy on the forum, i'm talking about the thousands of people that still play this game. I brought up Billy because it's another case where people say "you just relied on add-ons", which is exactly what killed him in the first place; not having any good add-ons anymore.…
-
Oh yeah, the same old song that never corresponds to reality of "you just stopped playing the killer because it's not easy anymore" If nerfing killers only gets rid of the bad players, then were are all the "good" players? Because whenever a killer gets nerfed you just stop seeing it. Where all are the good Freddys,…
-
They don't want to play fighting games because they know those games are actually hard. Can you imagine survivor mains playing any fighting game? It would be an absolute gold mine of scrubquotes lmao You would hear some crazy bumb takes like "mixups are unfun to deal with and have no counterplay"
-
Nah bro, maybe you're the one who should put more effort into writing your thoughts. Judging by my upvotes, i'm not the only one who interpreted your post in the same way.
-
I know, but at least Nurse is still useful when she works. Billy is just a buggy ass dumpster fire.
-
I guess it's more important for BHVR to change stuff like this that no one asked about than fixing Billy's buggy animations which have been there for ALMOST 2 YEARS and people have reported that many times already. Man, i wonder why no one wants to plays Billy these days considering he's also free with the base game...
-
If you lost to a Billy who keeped revving the chainsaw all the time, that tells you much more about your skill level than old Billy being overpowered.
-
Other than the things other people already mentioned, the devs also straight up refuse to fix his janky ass animations that have been there for almost 2 years now which make Billy even clunkier to play.
-
80% of my games were Nurse, Blight, Bubba and Huntress before i stopped playing when it started to get insanely boring. EU servers. Pretty good job so far.
-
I doubt they nerf them on purpose; the level designers just don't think, it's that simple. It's like how they gutted Billy on top of reworking the maps to have more stuff in the way and introducing new indoor maps.
-
The devs literally put zero thought when making maps, it's not a new thing. Guess slightly buffing Trapper after 5 years is enough for BHVR.
-
Because the devs adjust killers based on what survivors think it's "fun" and "skillful", basically making them a clunky mess everytime that nobody wants to play. It's almost as if the killer should be fun to play AS before anything else.
-
It's a general rule with DBD players that the more hours they spend, the saltier they become.
-
The problem is that it takes them years to change anything whether it's good or bad. It took them 5 years to give Trapper 2 traps base kit which is not even a crazy buff. That was literally changing a number from 1 to 2 and a couple of add-ons.
-
Isn't it funny though how so many people complain about getting bullied in DBD where the survivors can't attack the killer. There must be a reason behind it that's beyond just bad killer players crying. Maybe it's true that survivors being able to fight back the killer might never work for making a succesful game, but this…
-
He simply got overperformed my friend. All that matters is the 50% kill rate and everything is gonna be fine.
