To add to this: several challenges in this page also fail to mention the "complete in 2v8" requirement. I tried one in regular mode but it didn't progress.
-
I am pretty sure this is intended. Blocked gens cannot regress by any means. If a gen is regressing, and something blocks it, the regression is paused until it unblocks. While Weaving Spiders is not a regression event, it still is an event that influences a generator's total charges. On the wiki, it says: "A blocked…

The dog's animations look extremely unpolished, which is expected from a PTB. But I really hope it's getting looked at before release. Because Knight too is still an incredibly ugly mess at times (completely disappearing for a split second when finishing a path and taking his terror radius with him). It just looks…
-
Flashlights don't work on her crows and swarms anymore.
-
How the hell did you type all that and completely miss the point the OP is making. This was about tome challenges and rewards. I guess you copypasta'd it from somewhere else and didn't read what OP wrote? Event challenges tend to be mostly mixed challenges, which means you can do them on either role. Some exceptions apply,…

Which effect of OTR am I canceling if I do a conspicuous action? I can't tell which of its features are still active. You are cancelling the Endurance effect, and you should see the corresponding icon disappear. However, the silent grunts of pain and protection from aura reading remain in effect for the full duration,…
-
Wait, already? Not in one hour? Oh, that's right. Daylight Savings Time … YAY!
-
A silly build I've been enjoying on Nemesis consists of the perks - Brutal Strength - Enduring - Knock Out - Pop Goes The Weasel The point is to make him that powerful killing machine he's supposed to be, able to shred through obstacles and inflict increased damage with his kicks and punches. In the Halloween event you can…

Survivors are not yet contagious if they are in the first stage of infection. A healthy teammate can unhook them without contracting the disease themselves. A survivor in the first stage of sickness also will not infect objects they touch. This only applies when they are in second stage and broken, then any interaction…
-
Yep, those are the Treat pumpkins, regular pumpkins and Trick pumpkins respectively.
-
It's not always 250/500 (without offering/with offering), fortunately. Treat pumpkins give you 1000/2000 points each, which is really nice. Though these points were indeed not buffed. It seems the buffed points involve opening portals, going into the void, feeding energy into the well and picking up a crystal.

I remembered this post and decided to record a full 'spending spree' of about 1.3 million bloodpoints on Jonah. And, indeed, the only medkits and flashlights I got were from Mystery Boxes. PC, Steam, Windows 11.
-
It's important to note that you must have the item in your hand when you die. If you dropped it by any means, either by doing so yourself or by means of a Killer add-on or perk (such as Franklin's Demise), it does not get saved. If you used something that consumes the item, for example a syringe on your medkit, it does not…

Not a bug, levels 2 and 3 are not open yet. The clock icon next to the II and III are indicators of this, and hovering over them will tell you when the page will open.
-
Rewards reset every day at 11 AM ET. If the reward happens to be Rift Fragments, you don't get a popup for this. The fragments are added to your current progress regardless, so you don't miss out. The calendar is never displayed in-game but can be found on the official channels, such as social media or the DBD website.
-
Have you tried launching the crow as well? The game seems to think it's still there, as the power gauge is slowly depleting but still allowing you to put down 2 more crows (as opposed to quickly recharging your power when used).
-
And there is no way this can be intended, because no such changes were mentioned at all in the Patch Notes.
-
As stated above, other maps also spawn way too many breakable walls, causing some structures to become extremely unsafe or ridiculously strong. Examples: COAL TOWER (Variant I): COAL TOWER (Variant II): BLOOD LODGE: DISTURBED WARD:
-
Bumping this since it's not been picked up yet.
-
Can confirm. I went against a Clown, a Nemesis with Deathbound and a Pinhead, and in all instances of powers and perks being used, the survivor bubbles were visible. Video proof: Clown's Afterpiece Tonic: Deathbound: Cenobite's Lament Configuration:

You need to click on the charm icon again, then the tiny menu goes away and you can see the search bar.

Still present in patch 8.3.0.
-
This bug is still in the game with patch 8.3.0.
-
I believe the current outfit in the rift is a recolour, and the weapon somehow overwrites the original instead of existing alongside it.
-
Wraith has an add-on that keeps his terror radius active while he is cloaked. Could it be that he was running that?
-
With the release of Artist's new Gothic Tales cosmetic in Rift 21, I think there's even less reason to not update the prestige weapon!
-
It's worth noting that this happens with every killer that has some kind of instant teleport ability. MintSkull made a video about it, showcasing what this bug looks like on every map
-
The bonus is not guaranteed, but merely an incentive to get people to play a certain role. If there is no bonus, then both queues are balanced and a specific role is not in demand at that time.
-
Was this as/against the Dark Lord? He has a strange bug right now where only female survivors don't scream when hooked by him.
-
Invocation: Weaving Spiders gonna be updated when that happens … :P
-
I have done some more testing, and it seems that this bug is exclusive to the Dark Lord, regardless of what mode you play. Here I am playing as Dredge (in Lights Out), and the bug does not occur when hooking a female character. And this is an example of a match as Dark Lord, where the bug once again occurs.
-
Another example, this time from a Survivor's perspective.
-
What perks did the survivor who unhooked her have?
-
Eruption is indeed risky to use because it uses up two events, one for kicking and one when it procs. Though if you repeatedly get to a point where gens are blocked because you damaged them too often, you're doing something wrong. Nowhere to Hide is nice, but kicking a gen that has only, like, 10% progress is pointless for…
-
That doesn't take away that it's still an incredible downgrade from what it used to be, and I do hope they change this at some point :D.
-
You can remove the overlay by clicking on the charm icon a second time.
-
Where exactly did you read it's going to be nerfed? All it says in the Sep-Oct section of the roadmap is Perk Updates. That can be anything.
-
To this day we still have no news about the D20 charm :(. It's sadly gathering dust in the game files. I am starting to think they forgot all about it.
-
As far as I remember, the yellow border around your screen already shows up when main event gauge is full and ready to activate. But you still have to press the Secondary Power button to actually activate Main Event and start throwing knives really fast. So if you don't do that and just keep throwing knives normally, it…
-
The voice acting has improved a lot in recent years. If I remember correctly, they work closely with a studio called The Monster Factory (La Fabrique de Monstres), that supplies the VAs for their characters (killers and survivors). You can tell trained from untrained in a heartbeat. Alan Wake's VA, Matthew Porretta, did a…

The hug tech in Wolf form is considered a 'Known Issue'. The developers answered a number of questions on the post concerning the 8.2.1 bugfix patch: https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/1f8uo97/821_bugfix_patch/ It's also in their known issues list:
-
Clearly because you are allowing it to get to you. If you have such emotional responses over a video game that you bring up FBI and reporting people to local police, you really should not be playing this game. Yes, people can be trolls and griefers. What online game does not have them. Fortunately, you as a person have the…
-
Even though I agree that being slugged for no apparent reason is not a fun experience, you are not being held hostage. The bleedout timer is 4 minutes, then the game ends for you and you can go next. it is a different matter altogether if you are being blocked in a corner and forced to wait until the server closes after…
-
You're forgetting that in the old system, you lost all your perks, add-ons and items with every prestige, completely resetting your character back to square one as if you just got them. For that reason alone I would not want to go back to that. Also, a permanent level 50 Blood Web is not as great as you might think. When…
-
Honor the Bloodline is a survivor achievement, actually. It requires you to reveal the killer's aura for a total of 60 seconds in one trial.
-
The order was different, with Laurie coming after Nea (as she's supposed to, release-date wise), somewhere in July of this year. Now, I did learn in the meantime that there is apparently an automatic distinction between FREE characters included in the game and paid DLC characters, with the FREE characters coming first,…

Still present in 8.2.0, both when filtering on Date as well as Default. Jane and Ash are in the correct position again. PC, Steam, Windows 11.
-
Not just in that room, the Torture Room (where one finds the caged Beholder) has highly reduced visibilty as well.
-
Still present in patch 8.2.0.
