First time I've gotten that one. Go ahead and ignore my completely valid point, btw. I'm over all of the comments calling this map "bad," with the reasoning "I can't find anything/I keep running into dead ends/etc." It makes absolutely no sense; just learn the map, it doesn't change. If your complaints are valid, cool. If…
-
It's a "maze" that never changes. If you keep running into dead-ends, that's on you. Learn the map.
-
Yeah, dude. Not wanting your game ruined by entitled teammates who can't handle it, and requesting an already existing DC penalty to come back, is totally blowing things out of proportion. You're clearly refusing to see the points being made by me and this thread, so I'm done. It's all been laid out pretty clearly and…

Dude, I'd friggin' love a Dead Space Chapter. That's easily one of my favorite survival/horror games out there. Idk if it'd ever happen, but with the Dead Space Remaster being announced, I could see it being possible.
-
I just take solace in the fact that I'm mainly looking at the back of her head all match. I had the same outlook while playing old Claire.
-
The comparison is not dead my guy, read what I said. Not only did your "pressing a few buttons," comment sidestep the entire function of pressing a few buttons, but it was a pathetic attempt at minimizing what is actually going on. My counter-example highlighted that perfectly. And dude, when someone gets downed by a…

I know it can spawn in the Library, on the upper level. Can't the hatch also spawn on the mid-staircase landing on Midwich too? I know it's not supposed to spawn on the 2nd floor(from my understanding), but it seems like there are some exceptions.
-
Probably for the best; the map definitely doesn't need those added to it. Although, I'm not gonna lie, I'd love to see Nemesis come busting through a wall on that map.
-
It's actually a perfect comparison. I used a more extreme example to highlight what you were doing, minimizing. Regardless of the gravity of the commitment, the same logic still applies. And no, the option is there for exceptions. Sometimes something comes up and you do need to leave for a valid reason, that's why the…

"Because they clicked a few buttons." I guess signing off on a loan is just scribbling a few lines on some paper. Give me a break. You queue up to play a match, you are committing to finishing said match. Even BHVR have said that DCing intentionally is against their terms, which is why it's also reportable at end game. And…
-
I'm a bit mixed on it. On one hand, I dig that it has more detail. On the other hand, I miss the darker, colder look it used to have.
-
No, that's me wanting them to follow through on the commitment they made when they queued up: to participate in normal gameplay until the match is completed; how they do so, is their prerogative. By leaving, they are no longer playing in said match and quitting is not a gameplay mechanic, so neither meet the criteria of…
-
How can they play or not play how I want, when they aren't even playing the game?
-
PS4 Pro user here, with an upgraded SSD. The game definitely runs better for me, but it still feels worse than it did pre-RE Chapter. I'm still getting random bursts of frame drops, where it goes down to what feels like 20 fps. Also, I had a lobby bug, where after a match, the lobby would drop to like 10 or less fps until…
-
I really hope they do something about Kate; she looks significantly worse. I don't really "main," anyone, but I use her the most and man, was I disappointed when I loaded her up. I think the problem lies in her nose/mouth. She looks like a bunny or a chipmunk, or something.
-
I don't think I've ever seen someone simultaneously look like a newborn and an 80 year old, until I saw the new Jill face.
-
Seeing you were the one writing the post and you didn't explain that in said post, it actually is your fault they(and I'm sure many others, including myself) didn't understand what you were saying.
-
Not commenting on which side it favors, but is your argument seriously that its not Survivor sided because Survivors can't find anything? Is your memory erased after every match and you're perpetually stuck in a state of not knowing the map? I know the map from the RE2 Remake and I have 0 of the problems you…
-
They probably want to monitor the patch performance and make sure things are fixed/there aren't any new problems, before turning the penalties back on.
-
I mean, a lot of the maps in the game aren't properly balanced. I'd argue that there are a number of maps that are just as, if not more problematic than RPD. RPD isn't special, in that regard. In terms of it being twice the size of Mothers Dwelling, that's completely false. I know what you're referencing, but that "test,"…
-
I respect your opinion, as well, so long as you've learned/know the map. I personally hate Lery's, The Game and pretty much every map on Autohaven(Wretched Shop is alright). We all have our preferences.
-
You'll learn it eventually. It's not perfect and it has it's problems, but it's not nearly as bad as everyone's making it out to be. Btw, RPD doesn't account for the entirety of RE2, not even close. The version we have in DBD isn't even the full RPD map(although it's the majority of it), and RPD is only a small portion of…
-
Agreed. You also shouldn't depip if the game has DC's or you get 1/2 hooked, imo. And as someone above said, Killers shouldn't depip if they get 4 downs because the Survivors made bad choices. The whole system needs either a rework or it needs to be replaced.
-
Yeah, that I can understand. Idk why BHVR doesn't just let us free roam maps Solo, in a custom game. Learning maps, especially more complicated ones in-game, is not fun.
-
I get what you're saying, but imo, more complicated maps open up a whole other skillset in this game: map knowledge. That allows gameplay to be more dynamic than just working on Gens and looping, you have traversal and stealth options; it's one of the reasons I love Midwich(for the most part). In terms of balance, I think…
-
Your comment prompted me to reference that, but you aren't the first person I've seen complain about not being able to find stairs. My comment as a whole wasn't directed at you, but the people who have been calling this map trash from day 1 and those who continue to call it trash, while simultaneously stating that they…
-
I mean, PC has very marginal advantages over console users in this game. If anything, they are a bit better with Killers like Huntress or Deathslinger(or Nurse), and probably track a bit better, but on the Survivor side, they've got nothing. I have absolutely no issue with PC users as a Console player. In terms of…
-
Saying you're confused by the map is one thing; saying the map is garbage, especially when you know the map so little you can't even find a hook, is another. Idk if your comment was directed at me either partially or wholly, but pointing out people's flawed complaints is not griefing. It's like someone getting into a car,…
-
I'm pretty comfortable on it. Had my 6th(?) game on it last time and navigating the map was pretty easy. I keep saying it, but you guys seriously need to just learn the map. The biggest complaint I see(as seen in here, multiple times) is that players are getting lost. You fix that, by learning the map. I played the RE2…
-
It was timed from one side of the top floor through one side of the bottom floor, the layout and travel time varies depending on the route you take. It was also timed on a single axis. Mother's Dwelling is a square, RPD is a rectangle; RPD doesn't take nearly the same amount of time to travel along the vertical axis. Gen…
-
Red Forest is a realm, not a map. The maps within Red Forest vary in size. People are saying it's comparable to the size of Mother's Dwelling, not in terms of actual square footage, but due to the fact you can't run in a straight line and that increases travel time. I know, I've seen the video. The problem with that video,…
-
The complaints are way overblown and mostly come from a lack of map knowledge, yet people keep parroting the same stuff instead of waiting until they've learned/understand the map. I've only been able to get 3-4 games on it, so I can't comment too much on the loops, but I can understand if some of those need to be…
-
It also helps to not DC when you see it pop up, which I've seen a number of players state they do.
-
I can find Gens pretty quickly. Must have something to do with knowing the layout.
-
I don't need to imagine: I had Kindred T3 pop up almost dead-last on my P3 Cheryl. No telling how many millions of BP I used to get that. Feelsgoodman.
-
I got up to around 600+ last night, which has never happened before. I've also noticed ping spikes in the lobby, and in-game a lot of funky hits registering. Not sure what's going on(maybe high traffic?), but I've noticed the same thing, at least over the past few days.
-
I would bet money it's not a 2 story Haddonfield, nor do I think 1 half of the map is the size of Midwich. The map isn't really that big, it's mid-sized, you just can't run in a straight line, from one side to the other. Which leads to my point: people dont know how to navigate the map, so they think it's huge. I'm telling…
-
I dont think you realize how small the map would become, if you did that. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think that majority of the "problems," players have with this map, come from lack of knowing the layout, as evidenced by the person calling it a "maze." It's not a maze; I have no difficulty finding my way…
-
I'm the same. I know I'm never going to use them, so I really don't care about them. I also have quite a few from last year, and they're basically the same design, so even less reason to get them.
-
Happened to me with my Cheryl. Literally got Kindred almost dead-last for T1-T3. It took me probably close to 10 hours of playtime to go from P3, Lvl 36 Cheryl with no Kindred, to getting Kindred Tier 3 on her; that was with the free 500k BP, Event cakes every game and Rift challenges. This crap is straight broken.
-
No, that's a sign of the maps' complexity. And most of the maps in this game have next-to-no complexity; they have one defining characteristic, and the rest of the map is just open space with copy/paste loops, some maps having slight variance. This map is indoors, it has a layout. It's not some wide open cornfield or…
-
You don't need to play 24/7 to learn the map. When you get it, just make an effort to figure it out. Yeah, it might take some time and it might get frustrating, but once you know it, you know it. And on a side note, BHVR really need to add a solo custom option so players can explore maps, on either side; that's long…
-
I can understand that; that's completely reasonable and I agree, it's probably the most complex map they've released to-date. The point I'm trying to make, is that people are calling this a bad map, when they've barely played it and don't know it. Yes, it might be frustrating to learn, specifically in a live game, but that…
-
Yeah, I get that can be frustrating and idk why the Devs haven't allowed solo customs for map exploration(that's been requested for a long time), but this isn't the first game to have this issue. At the end of the day, while it might be frustrating to learn, that doesn't mean the map is terrible; and throwing your hands up…
-
Or, y'know...you could just learn the map on DBD, because it's in the game. I swear, man. Everyone's on here complaining that they're getting lost on RPD and that it's a labyrinth. You know what a solution for that is? Learning the map, like players do in any other game that requires map knowledge. I don't get lost and I…
-
You should always balance around the highest level of play, that ensures that the game is truly balanced or as close to it, as possible. When you balance around anything else, the game falls apart. It becomes "did I lose because I played poorly, or did I lose because I've exceeded the balance threshold and there was…
-
Survivors struggle to find Gens because they have barely played it. This isn't a giant, open cornfield or forest, it has a layout, and that takes time to learn. I have no issue finding Gens or navigating the map, because I played the RE2 Remake. Idk why players expect to understand the map right off the bat, especially if…
-
I'm just here for the Bloodpoints.
-
Finally got it last match. As someone who played the RE2 Remake, I love it. It's laid out pretty much how I remember it, from the game. Having said that, we'll see how it plays once everyone gets used to it. Btw(to everyone complaining), it's not a maze, you just don't know the layout. I can find my way around that map…
