Yes. While I have to research if erm- Whiteface is a thing: if bubba was black, wore white faces, and players started targeting only white people, it would still be wrong.

Tani, MiladyConfetti, and SistaKaren (who recently made a video on this) are popular streamers who experienced this kind of hate. While I don’t stream, I’ve experienced this a few times myself. While it’s not common enough for me to make it my issue, my experiences are not the same as someone else’s.

It’s okay to feel that way. I do feel bad for people who earned these cosmetics, didn’t use them maliciously, and are being given just shards instead of something more. You’re not understanding. Some Smartface Bubbas were harassing black creators and people who played black characters. They’re the ones who used it to re-create the whole blackface problem and target people with it. Unless elves are real, there’s a good reason this cosmetic is being removed.
