Neither tunneling, slugging, nor camping justifies giving up on first hook after the first chase. That behavior isn't indicative of a balance issue. Survivors who give up on first hook exist, and denying this suggests one of two things: 1) you engage in this behavior yourself, or 2) you play in a SWF and don’t experience…
-
You could play pre-nerf Skull Merchant (who was fairly balanced), and people still gave up every single game simply because they didn’t like the killer. Slugging, tunneling, camping, these mechanics are annoying, sure. But the reality is that the majority of complaints stem from that one survivor who gives up after being…
-
Map Offerings only exist to be abused and ruin the game for the other side, and on top of that, they take up the Green Rarity slot, so Party Streamers get rarer every time a new map drops. I went from Prestige 0 to 60 on Blight and have less than 10 Party Streamers.
-
Someone at BHVR came up with the blue void idea and thought it was the smartest thing of all time so now everything is blue
-
Nurse isn't as broken as people often make her out to be, nor does she "ignore the game's mechanics" as is frequently claimed. She simply plays differently and, as such, has a unique form of counterplay. Contrary to popular belief, she doesn't render pallets or windows useless, and her map control has been significantly…
-
You must be new to the game if you're not only constantly running into Wraiths, but also losing to them. Keep playing, and you'll improve to the point where Wraiths are not an issue (unless your teammates are bad). Also, the nerfs you suggested… those are terrible. Like, really terrible. Just keep playing and stop trying…
-
You're the one supposed to punish the killer for camping, not the game.
-
Holding people after spearing them just for an immediate double tap and insta down seems like this is not something that was play tested. It actually feels like something that's working EXACTLY as intended. Killers should have synergies with one another, that's the whole point of having two on a match.
-
I would love to play Omegablink Nurse again. Sadly, they'd have to bring back old graphics, old animations, and all that stuff, which is probably not gonna happen. A more realistic option would be adding some key game versions to the "betas" tab on Steam, so people can play and queue in those too. But even then, they…
-
Way too many generators are spawning. At the start of a match, it’s common to see 2-3 gens get done quickly because they’re tucked away in a corner, letting 2-3 Guide survivors stack up tokens and speed through 3-5 gens while the Killers are busy chasing the rest of the team. There should be fewer gens on the map so…
-
Billy and Blight are so strong that the existence of crouch-teching if anything is a reasonable balance factor. They not only both have winstreaks in the thousands, but even in tournament play against the best survivor players that are all too keenly aware of when and how to best use crouch techs against them these killers…
-
Bruh. Survivors choose where to lead the killer during a chase, not the other way around. When a killer is forced to "choose" to play as an M1 killer (though it isn't really a choice, since there's no real counterplay), it effectively nullifies their power. This isn't a complex concept to understand. The issue is even more…
-
That's like saying that to counter a Blight using Hug Tech you should just stop going to tiles where they can do it. See the problem now?
-
If your games are going so poorly that you feel the need to disconnect in most of them, I suggest taking a break from playing. Not only would you be doing yourself a favor, but you'd also be helping your teammates, who would appreciate having someone on their team who actually enjoys playing and isn’t constantly thinking…
-
That's exactly the mindset BHVR wants everyone to have, lol. It's been almost 8 years, and the best they could come up with were basic number tweaks that everyone knows probably took an intern a few days to whip up. The same thing happened with Twins, Sadako, Skull Merchant, and probably Freddy too. But hey, at least he…
-
They’re solid number tweaks, but overall, he’s still a weak, outdated killer with no real chase power. He won’t rank high on anyone’s tier list, and what’s even worse is that everyone is going to completely ignore him after these changes, since he’s technically not bottom tier anymore. I’d say D-tier at best, not suitable…
-
The problem with most people lurking in these forums is that they're some of the most entitled players out there. BHVR could add Basekit Unbreakable, and sure, it would "fix" slugging, but it would only lead killers to play even more aggressively, tunneling and trying to secure kills as quickly as possible (even more than…
-
You're mistaken. A Killer 'winning' doesn’t mean Survivors are 'losing.' Both the Killer and Survivors can win simultaneously in a match, so when there’s a draw, two Survivors also 'draw.' A 2K is the same as a 2E. The only scenarios where only one side wins are a 4K or 4E. So attributing all 2Ks as Killer wins and…
-
DBD was never intended to be a stealth game. Even back in the day, killers had perks like Spies from the Shadows and Whispers to counter sneaky survivors and encourage chasing. Over time, the game evolved, and now everyone plays with ten times the efficiency they used to, making "general location" perks like Whispers far…
-
2v8 wasn’t better just because the escape rate went up by 5%. It was better because it was chaotic and way more fun. Three times as many pallets, no camping, no giving up, and loads of newbie killers to mix things up. Right now, many killers have around a 55% kill rate. But would you even know which ones just by playing?…
-
Players who kill themselves on first hook should receive a DC penalty doubled for ruining the match and not even providing their teammates a bot. If you queue up, you should be ready to commit to a full match, regardless of the killer, their build, map, etc. If you don’t want to face certain killers, go play customs and…
-
Can we make it a rule that you need at least 50 killer matches before posting suggestions? Please?
-
The Distortion change wasn’t just good, it should serve as a blueprint for how to nerf perks without completely destroying them, something BHVR has yet to master with gen regression perks. Distortion remains fully usable, but now, instead of hiding, players need to actively engage with the killer. A teammate who wastes 15…
-
the escape rate of iri-1 -swf-4 survivors is 48%, anything below this exponentially depletes the escape rate The kill rate BHVR is aiming for is 60%, which the stats show has been met. High MMR SWF groups are breaking this balance, but everyone else isn’t (Solo - Duos - Trios Escape Rate: 40% OR 60% Kill Rate for the…

Basekit BBQ & Chili with increased BP bonus
-
There might as well be 100 aura reading perks, but Killers can only use 4. And even if they are running 4 aura reading, they're giving up anti heal, gen slowdown, etc. You're complaining about a non issue, it's usually very evident which aura perk the killer has and pretty fun to figure out as well.
-
Anyone who thinks Survivors should be able to see the killer in the lobby is simply trolling or has maybe 2 hours at the game, not sure why it's even being discussed. It's like if someone tried to say that old exhaustion should be back
-
So, to recap: Basekit one of the best perks in the game, gens repairing themselves, removing BP from killers, and even more auto gen repairs. At this point, you're not asking BHVR to give you a hand; you're asking them to come, pick you up, and carry you to the exit gates while whispering about what a good job you did.…

Is Resident Evil an indie horror game? I said FNAF is the indie horror game, which it is, not that it’s the horror game.
-
FNAF is basically the indie horror game. It kicked off successful sequels, books, spin-offs, merch, supported fan games, it's own sub-genre of game, cameos, and even a full-length movie, while still staying relevant a decade later. Even big AAA companies wish they could pull something like that off. I actually can't think…
-
This game is nowhere close to dying, it's actually getting better in almost every way. I've been playing since The Pig dropped in 2017, and sometimes I watch old gameplay and think, how the hell did we put up with that? The top 40 perks on both sides were so broken, and everyone either gen-rushed or tunneled and moried on…
-
FNAF will be the most popular license added to DBD. It's probably the most influential horror IP in recent times. I also don't think Killers like Jason, Candyman, etc. Would even come close in popularity, lol
-
Mori's literally last around 10-12 seconds. You seriously can't power through them? If that's the case I really don't think the mori's are the issue. Not to mention that there's no way they'd let you skip them because they want to sell more
-
Void contains no objectives for survivors Wasting the killer's time is one of the most important objectives a Survivor can have
-
Isn't it easier to just take a quick glance at your bloodweb before pressing the button? lol
-
Once the smoke fully expands, it muffles all sounds from both inside and outside the bubble, except for the terror radius. Feel free to check it out or post a clip if this isn't the case.
-
Smoke bombs actually prevent killers from hearing anything while they're inside them, which you'd know if you'd played at least one match as Killer during this event. I highly recommend giving it a try, I promise BHVR isn't out to get you. Plus, there's still plenty of time left, so you have lots of days to get better with…
-
How could someone playtest this and said: yep, this event is somewhat fun on survivor side?? Because thankfully, devs aren't as negative or energy-draining as you seem to be in this post. "Survivors are perma-exhausted and perma-broken," you say as if this were a negative thing. You're exhausted so that you don't abuse…
-
according to the devs bleedouts happen in less than 1% of matches and partial bleedouts in around 10%. You tell me if its meta or not
-
This shift in playstyle was bound to happen, but it’s really not the end of the world. BHVR just needs to roll out a better matchmaking system that pairs up players who actually try with others doing the same. Solo Q isn’t bad when you’ve got a team that knows what they’re doing and doesn’t throw in the towel at the first…
-
Least out of touch survivor DBD player
-
If you genuinely think kill rate is the same as win rate, I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you haven’t been playing that long. Freddy has a 60% kill rate, does that mean he has a 60% win rate and is a good killer? lol Kill rate is just that: kills. You could play terribly all game and still win at the end because…
-
You're confusing win rate with kill rate. They're completely different things lmao
-
This is what happens when devs ignore the majority of players' playstyles and pretend this game doesn't need a proper ranking mode. This is the sweatiest game I've ever played, even more so than any other game with an actual competitive mode.
-
Blight has his double fatigue bug for... at least 3 years now. Leatherface still has the bug where he randomly loses all charges during his chainsaw sweep, even after they changed him. Nurse still has the bug where during fatigue, your camera swings in a nauseating way. Twins has the bug where Victor bounces off survivors,…
-
On the topic of Disturbed Ward / Crotus, its main building is one of, if not the most broken in the game. I have no idea how it remains unchanged so far but it's awful to play against
-
I would strongly advise you to play a few matches as him, it's easy to think a killer is OP until you actually try them
-
The exposed status is just a nice addition, the real power of the perk comes from the aura reading.
-
The New Dead Man's Switch: The old version was a bit hit or miss because if a survivor triggered a gen block near the end of the ability's activation window, the generator would only be blocked for the remaining time, not the full duration. This has changed, and now every time Dead Man's Switch activates, it blocks the…
-
If it’s still a top 5 perk in its current state, imagine how overpowered it must have been back then. This forum would be healthier if all members had to provide proof of playing as killer for a few hours. We wouldn’t be seeing posts like these if that were the case.
