Well I don't think this elf embodies the trans representation people have been asking for. Following the drama of The Unknown killer we get Jeryl 2.0.
-
I have thousands of hours already. But it doesn't matter in solo queue when you have a queue system that will prioritise wait time over MMR. I am not going to study videos to git gud, I'm controller player with some disabilities. It just would be nice not to have to be thrown into these matches as someone else's grind…
-
I honestly paid no mind at all to how it affected other players. I loved that we had abilities and could multiply BP gains. I don't know if me bringing cake meant others could get abilities. By the end of the event I finally figured out how it worked as killer as the abilities HUD, Avoid Stun/Expose was a bit confusing.…
-
My success rate as solo queue survivor - I've not survived a single match against him. I feel like there is literally nothing you can do against him. I'm not that good at looping. I am not a sweaty SWF player. Maybe it's my personal skill ceiling; I have yet to face a "bad" Wesker. I hate how MM works in this game. If it's…
-
I feel like Wraith is powerful enough with his kit as it is. High mobility and stealth, and the add-ons give a lot of flexibility.
-
I like the idea of having some longer cooldown to counter players who team up to flash (kind of like getting stun chains in other games) but the perk Lightborn is what you need. I think from a survivor POV it wouldn't be as fun to have someone else blinding the killer mean you have to wait longer. It's already hard enough…
-
Players have been complaining about the blinding animation for years. It hasn't been changed. But I'd also point out the way it is often used by teams to bully killers with bodyblocking etc. Lightborn is just good self-care.
-
Honestly wish I could disable hearing voice lines from certain killers and survivors. I'd argue there has always been a bit of a theme park element to DBD. It's getting a bit much with so many. Wesker constantly grates on me. Trickster and Cenobite are probably the only two I enjoy with lines.
-
I feel like this would make him OP.
-
I can't stand this killer, the voice lines are really annoying.
-
Sadako, because Ring. Love the creepy sound design on her.
-
Did you try system file check in command prompt? sfc/scannow
-
Do you always get Unreal engine crash reporter? At least it not CTD. I'd suggest open a support ticket with BHVR and submit DxDiag.
-
It's this month's reward, expires in 25 days. It's listed in News feed as Prime reward.
-
I think there needs to be a way to also allow for SWF who are not as competitive. I've played with some friends on Discord and actually one of the reasons they quit DBD was it getting too sweaty and unfun.
-
Could be delayed til after the event.
-
I have found it quite hard to get the exposed effect in chase with a survivor. It only pops up after some time in chase where you first are given the option to block being stunned. I think it could help getting some killer adepts though, so not surprising to me that it is being used a lot.
-
I agree. I think people complain as if somehow pleading to the community will make it stop, it's pretty sad to see. It's frustrating seeing developers overlook issues that are driving players away from their games. I also understand with such a big game they would want to make conservative changes. I don't really know how…
-
I disagree with the premise that the core objective of a game is for the player to win. Personally I have more fun not prioritising winning. I can win but did I have fun doing it? Not always. There's a bigger picture at play that game designers should understand different gamers get value out of different things. I feel…
-
It's hard mentally keeping track of hook count per survivor.
-
Leon has a super long scream. Never really noticed it before til this event.
-
It depends on my mood. I play both sides. As survivor, I love playing characters I identify with. Like this aspect is so cool in itself, being able to run around in a game that feels like your in a horror film with the thick atmosphere, lighting. I've been a horror film fan since a child when they used to terrify me. I…
-
I agree. Plus the simplicity of it helps the tension in what should be atmospheric horror. Player should be looking around whilst doing gen not feeling bored enough/only superficially engaged to tap out rhythms. It's why VHS failed, it tried to over-egg the pudding with gimmicks.
-
The way I see it, you got to enjoy feeling special for a whole two years, which is a long time in game-time. TBH people move on, players forget these are even a thing. Some players don't even know about the older anniversary flashlight or these weird halos that scream "I'm going to loop you til you cry". I've only ever…
-
I wish we could do this too.
-
So you want to be able to instadown someone who was just unhooked? How is that fun for survivor?
-
She hasn't contributed anything to horror genre has she? It's kind of weird when games randomly put stars in. For example Selena Gomez in Wizard101.
-
It could be obviously poor MM since the way it has been for years now, if either killer or survivors have been waiting too long they get to enjoy the "any match will do" MM fallback. This could mean a killer from another region, or one completely outside the skill level. So without addressing the deeper issue affecting MM…
-
You can't just report in-game, it just flags the match with user IDs for BHVR. You need to follow up with a support ticket with video evidence so they can act. They don't tell you what they decided. It's annoying we have to upload to YouTube but it's free, and I just set it to unlisted. I use NVIDIA Experience tool that…
-
Weird way to invite discussion to be honest. You can't decide for others whether it is valid or not. Clearly that players are doing it, is valid reason for it. It's a game, generally people play to have fun. If they are facing a killer they know outclasses them or match feels futile, you can try for low chance of escape.…
-
Several possible reasons. Hard to infer without context. * Gloating at killer, especially if SWF * Tome challenge requires you leave last * Pity points - Waiting for killer to give last free hits because they failed to get any hooks * Solo Queue - Not sure if should help teammates situation, waiting to see * Waiting for…
-
It would be so cool to have a female Cenobite skin. Either 2022 or from the originals.
-
Well I know my gf needs minimum of 95 in games or she gets motion sickness. It's actually incredible how many games still ship with no FOV control at all, or cap at 90, when studies show women are more susceptible to motion sickness. For me around 90-100 is best. I can't play a lot of killers without Shadowborn.…
-
That could be potentially awesome, skin-wise lots of possibility for different looks. Same with a trans character and rich story potential, like in the game Tell Me Why. Representation is really hard to get right though*, and I don't want it to be a vector for harrassment like the Claudette mask. * Look at the hatestorm…
-
I love the new map visually, as a survivor. I love that it has a lot of hiding places. As a killer it feels too cluttered. The flying shadows from overhead also could do with dialling down. They are too overbearing and distracting. Thanks for the warning. I won't be buying this killer. Controller experience is already poor…
-
Feel like I've had non-stop matches with him and the new map. Must be a region thing.
-
Personally loving the new map as survivor, it's so vibrant, I can blend in with Jane's Prime summer outfit. But I am finding the shadows cast from the birds quite difficult visually, giving me some motion sickness. And there is a lot of noises on the map that is a bit too intrusive/distracting. I dread playing this map as…
-
I think it is false equivalence; country flags are not the same as pride flags. I understand why you might feel that they are and thus should be included. I personally do not think they have a place in the game.
-
It's super annoying.
-
Lobby dodging is one way selfish players are guaranteeing others get a worse game experience. BHVR know this is a problem with matchmaking yet they still haven't done a thing to fix it.
-
They literally specified the gender of the killer in one of their bullet points. And heaven forbid, she walks with an exaggerated feminine walk.
-
I'm not throwing it around casually. I'm calling it how I see it. Don't like it, disagree but don't start language policing.
-
Where have you been, in a nuclear bunker? I guess you don't do social media like DBD Reddit and Twatter. Neither do I, but what I have seen makes me think majority of DBD players are terminally online, seething about the new character.
-
I like the killer, it seems to bring all the casual misogynists out of their hiding.
-
I'm not seeing it either. Wraith and Trickster I do see on sale (I didn't check any others).
-
I hate traditional Christmas foods. Luckily I don't really celebrate it so I can eat what I enjoy. This time it was a duck penang curry.
-
Do what I do, Alt+Tab, play some YouTube video, check Whatsapp, etc.
-
I never understand this "supporting the game" logic. When you play a game, you aren't supporting it, you're playing it. When you buy DLC or cosmetics, you are a consumer making consumer decision, you buy product, you get something from the exchange. You aren't donating to a charity, so don't feel like you can pat yourself…
-
I think they might be hampered by their population size to do anything meaningful. I've suggested before that they collect more metrics than just kills/escapes. Instead they do these limited data collection by surveys instead when they could be sitting on a goldmine of play data. With a smaller studio, smaller playerbase,…
-
You know this game has 100x the population of games I play with players making the same "SBMM doesn't work because low population" argument. As I said before, you can have better quality matches or you can have quick matches, and BHVR chose the latter. Small studios can pull it off, by extending the matchmaking time a…
