I just hope it's fixed soon. I went up against another red ranked squad earlier today, and for a majority of the match, I literally could not hit them. They used a map offering and and just toyed around with me. They knew every loop perfectly, and refused to do gens. They just wanted me to chase them around for fifteen…

I can understand that. I have some killers that I won't touch either. Just play whoever is more fun for you. This game can already be frustrating at times for various reasons, so hopefully the challenge doesn't annoy you too much.
-
Part of me has actually been wondering if something like this is true. Whenever I watch brand new players stream, they seem to mostly get people right around their ranks. Meanwhile if I simply win 3 games in a row, the game is like, "oh, we see you're ready for red/purple rank play".
-
I think I will. Played more games after that, and they were pretty much the same as the screenshot I posted. I don't find survivor fun at all, so playing something more enjoyable would probably be smart.
-
Thank you for responding with information. I sure hope it's relatively soon. Guess I'll just weather the storm till then.
-
I never played her on my PS4, so I'm not sure how she feels on there. The only thing I can think of would be that maybe frame drops hurt her a bit. If you're moving while purging, it can go pretty far, though nowhere near as far as a Huntress hatchet. Dead hard always sucks, but if you suspect one is incoming, then fully…
-
I can do this on PS5. Which console are you playing on? I'm sure you're telling the truth, so I'm not calling you out. Just trying to figure out why you have trouble doing it. I also play on a high sensitivity which makes it easier.
-
It's a real issue. There obviously aren't enough killers that play at higher ranks. New people try killer, get completely mismatched every other game, then they get sick of it and stop playing or they switch to survivor which makes it even harder to find even matches for new killer players. Lots of people say suck it up…
-
This happens all the time for me as well. I do sometimes get an even match, but usually mismatched as far as ranks go. I've kind of just gotten used to it. The lack of high rank killers, I feel, really hurts the matchmaking. I'm hoping MMR fixes this, but it probably won't because the issue is that killers are a scarcity…
-
Just played solo survivor, and this is what they handed the poor killer.
-
Being camped/tunneled sucks. It's one reason I don't play survivor very often anymore. Besides me being bad and solo, it's really unfun to be tunneled right out of the game.
-
This is me! Killers seem to have no trouble tracking me in the corn. That's why I figured there must be some trick. Guess I'll have to whip out my actual headset.
-
This is an amazing idea!
-
I don't know why I never thought of this! I'm such a noob lol
-
Happy yet sad to see that I'm among company with my inability to consistently chase through corn lol. I've seen some great tips to try out for next time though, so thank you all for your input. One day I'll master the corn!
-
This was my thinking lol. That logic is so flawed.
-
I play this, MK11, and SFV the most right now, and this is the game where I'm most likely to get hate mail. It's about tied with MK11 for teabags (if you consider that toxic). But, as far as graphic hate messages, this game is the top for me.
-
Yeah, this game is really bad with the toxicity. I once shut off my messages on PS because some survivors would spam the inbox after a game (or during if they died early), so they resorted to trying to add me as a friend just to get through lol. I've seen streamers regularly harassed in their chats after games which is…
-
I think you nailed it. Female survivors most likely contribute to more cosmetic sales. Female gamers love to play female characters because they typically relate to them more, and male players love to play female characters because they find them attractive. This tends to be true for most games where your character choice…
-
I play both survivor and killer, and my buddy pretty much only plays survivor when ever he's over, and he binges the game for like 10hrs straight because he doesn't have it at home. I think I've seen maybe one killer dc in all that time. If they want to give up, they will usually go afk, letting us finish the gens and farm…
-
That's an awesome idea about ignoring them lol. Just pretend they're not even in the match. I'm going to try that for sure.
-
I get what you're saying. I've made the mistake of chasing teabaggers before, and paid for it with tons of gens popping. This is why I try to ignore it, and usually succeed at it. I fell for it this time, and luckily caught the person. I lost gens in the process, but I didn't even care at that point. It's just something…

I like the contrast you made between the two. I'm trying Myers for the first time here in a bit, and I'm already kind of nervous. One of the things I like about playing Legion is that after one hit, I know where everyone is and can beeline right for them. I don't know how I'll fare with a really slow starting Myers.
-
I was actually considering purchasing her just for Corrupt. Don't know if it's worth 7.99 for just a perk, though, even if it's a really good one.
-
I was thinking this may be the case. I've played other games that have characters like this. They're not very good against experienced players, but the character has a certain niche that makes it very difficult for newer players to contest. Some fighting game characters come to mind that are like this.
-
These two are definitely high on my list. Being able to track and injure survivors constantly with Legion sounds like a lot of fun. I have a question, though. Is it difficult to aim his hits while dashing? The problem I have with Oni is that the camera goes crazy while trying to do his dash one hit down, and I haven't…
-
Thank you all for your input and suggestions. I've been playing more Clown lately, and now that I've gotten much better control over his bottles, I'm having a good amount of fun with him. His one on one chase kind of style fits me really well. I'll probably purchase the Myers dlc and one other to try out until there's…
-
This is extremely common for new killers apparently. I just switched to survivor, and then stopped playing. Survivor is much better with matchmaking, though. You can chill and relax while playing.
-
Don't DC. Just go to the basement and have chill out like I do. Or hit up a corner of the map, and observe the scenery. I do this whenever the game matches my rank 16 self with a squad of red and green ranks.
-
I'm interested in Oni as well. But, why is he rarely ever brought up when people speak of high mobility killers? You constantly hear of Billy, Nurse, and Spirit, but Oni seems like he has great mobility too. Am I missing something?
-
What's wrong with Oni? He looks super fun. I don't have him yet, though.
-
I love to know of any Oni mains as well. I've wanted to main him from the jump, but have been grinding for a few good teachables so I won't have as rough a time learning him
-
Survivor is 100% percent easier for me at the moment. I just wish as killer I could actually play with people around my rank. A rank 16 killer playing clown means those red and purple survivors constantly matched against me can just chill and still win lol.
-
Scorpions on Twitch mains Pig and is really good with her. Otsdarva plays every killer in the game at a really high level, but he does seem to love Trapper and Legion a bit more than most. He's my favorite for learning killer as he plays with all kinds of killers, perks and add-ons while still wrecking people in most of…
-
I don't really know if survivor is easier because matchmaking makes it hard for me to make a comparison. When I play solo survivor, I get killers closer to my rank, but when I play killer, I get entire squads 10 ranks ahead of me. So, at the moment, trying to learn killer as a new player is super stressful compared to…
-
I feel you, man. As a rank 16 killer, playing against reds and purples constantly definitely ruins the fun.
-
I've noticed the extreme toxicity as well. I've played a lot of mortal Kombat 11, and that is just as bad if not worse, but I understand that more since it's a 1v1 fighting game. I think the balance of the game is partly the reason here. It's 4v1 with completely opposite roles, so balance must be harder to achieve compared…
-
Apparently this is how the matchmaking works in this game. I'm only rank 16 with about four or so hours played as killer, and I get matched against red and purple rank survivors. I'll just keep trying to get better, though it can be frustrating.
-
I bought Leatherface and Clown for Pop and BBQ. The bloodrush has been a huge help for the teachables.
-
I've been playing Leatherface and Clown. I'm only rank 16 (which doesn't seem to matter since I constantly get into lobbies with red and purple ranks). I haven't chosen a main yet. I grinded Leatherface for BBQ and currently grinding Clown for Pop. I do find Clown really fun, though, so I may stick with him.
