Did you maybe take a longer break from the game? This was changed with the Plague release patch in 2019 and since then you need enough emblem score for +2 pips to get killer adept achievements.

I have the same problem. I tried to ask some survivors if they saw it too, but they just told me they reported me for "glitching" and I'm not sure if it's because of the perks not showing for them either or just them not knowing how Lightborn and Mad Grit work (maybe both). The perks disappearing doesn't seem to happen…

Not a bloodpoint penalty. You get less emblem score, but I doubt a facecamping Leatherface cares about ranking up.

Try logging out and back in. I stayed at rank 1 in both as well but after relogging I'm 5 in both.
