Killer Main here with another anecdote - lack of killers is a legitimate issue, but I think most of us are just shifting our play times to avoid the swf queues. Some other events that take place make things harder for killers at all times of day but only a few days in a month. Rank reset is one of these. Since the BP bonus…

Playing on Xbox One with crossplay turned off. Infinite loading (more like 6+ minutes) has happened twice. Both times I was playing survivor as Nancy and using one of the pumpkin offerings. Both times it showed disconnecting players when I finally made it past the loading screen. The first time was several hours ago and…

It wouldn't surprise me if the game keeps track of the addons you specifically use the most, then adjusts their web spawn rate to force you to buy more webs to get them.
-
It's only OP for low ranks. Hit reds and you might as well run something else. There really needs to be balancing based around rank and swf, not a one size fits all nerf.
-
It's called an entertainment budget. No different than going to the movies pre-COVID, monthly streaming subscriptions, whatever. To each their own.
-
You guys must be playing different survivors than I do. About 3/4 of the games I use ruin/undying, they somehow manage to kill undying first, then ruin shortly after. At best I get two jumps before losing both perks... So things slow down about a minute. If it's a small map I might capitalize, but large maps make the aura…

Well as far as I can tell, anything a killer does that prevents a survivor from popping gens in a timely fashion is toxic. Tunneling at any point is a losing tactic. Killers who do it are either completely new, or cutting their losses as best they can. You'll pardon my lack of empathy for the poor red ranks who might not…
-
Actually my skill as a killer ISN'T good enough to compete with full red rank teams. I can deal with purple okay and green is too easy, so I get why matchmaking is a difficult needle to thread, but when I want ONE kill for whatever reason I feel like, it usually comes down to camping. When the opportunity presents itself…
-
How is one toxic without flashlights? Surely you jest.
-
If killers want any actual kills, they have to tunnel or camp or both because of the gen rush and the nature of chases. By the time we hook anyone there's only a couple gens left. Yeah we could go chasing after other survivors, and maybe get a second hook before the gates are powered. Good luck getting a kill at that point.
-
Why would anyone listen to advice from Dwight exactly?
-
How do I get survivors to disconnect when I'm loading a mori? All they seem to do is work triple hard to stop me from hooking anyone. I'd prefer they disconnect, thanks.
-
The good teams will take ruin down within half a minute. Might take 90 seconds if you have undying too. I've only seen undying swap totems more than once like once... And I was one the survivor team for that. Things like pop and dying light only work if you can actually hook people in a reasonable time frame. Mostly these…
-
Post game bullies tend to be bullies during the game as well. Not sure why this should be surprising. Only thing that reliably changes a survivor's personality is a good thrashing.. even then you're likely to get trolled. This is Derided by Daylight people, remember that.
-
PC players are a pain to play against, but with crossplay off all that seems to exist on xbox are red ranks... At rank 10 it just depends on whether I want to be able to contact them for some reason.
-
I still haven't been able to complete a challenge requiring you to complete 4 gens while using some perk... In a single trial. Even if I can get the other survivors on board (because it'd be impossible to get to four gens and finish them off before all 5 are done), the killer hardly cooperates. That's really the only one…
-
You never really know what people are doing unless they're on comms with you. I was healing myself the other day because of a medkit deplete challenge. I'm not an especially competent survivor, but those are the challenges I have left, so I usually just try and hurry through them. And got yelled at by a teammate who didn't…
-
I give hatch or exit gate to at least one survivor in any game where I feel like we all had fun and no one was being douches. If your swf is so sweaty they're body blocking, sabotaging, or flashlighting even the first hook, I'll just kill all of you up front if I can. No teasing with gates. If you start teabagging every…
-
Unless you're really good, you don't win many games against redranks. Even with the right build, undying and ruin will be popped fairly quickly. I know a lot of people say to use Dying Light too, but you'll notice you don't get many hooks. As someone mentioned, best bet is to injure them as often as possible, and use…
-
Good luck with that. I tunnel when the situation calls for it, but I will camp any game where I haven't even managed more than a couple hooks by gen 2. Yes I know, git gud. Unfortunately I hover right where I get red rank swf more often than not. Doesn't seem to matter what I do, I can't catch enough survivors in enough…
-
I would like some way to make use of the hundreds of items in my add-on / offering inventory that I will just never use. Maybe at a certain prestige level you can combine these at some rate to make a better rarity item?
-
I did earlier today. First time ever, probably because I usually get caught before having a chance to throw one.
-
I leave you to bleed out BECAUSE I don't feel like being hit with DS. Not my fault if irony kills.
-
Fairly sure this is satire.
-
It's a method of communication. I'll be honest, I've done it, like the other day when a survivor ran into a far corner on the bottom level of Gideon and every time I would down them I couldn't get them to a hook before they wiggled free. After this happens a couple of times I just go after someone else, but when I did have…
-
I thought up a method for this a while back. Xeno can drop an egg hear a gen. The longer a survivor is within proximity to the egg, the faster it hatches. If two or three survivors are on the same gen, it hatches very fast and a face hugger flies out attaching to one of them randomly.
-
Survivor Rule #14: no camping. Survivor Rule #14(a): no face camping Survivor Rule #14(b): no gen camping Survivor Rule #14(c): no gate camping Survivor Rule #14(d): no proxy camping Survivor Rule #14(e): no basement camping Survivor Rule #14(f): no totem camping Survivor Rule #14(g): no slug camping Survivor Rule #14(h):…

Meh, standing still with Spirit only ever works with lockers. Don't know what kind of potatoes you okay against, but I rarely get a survivor vaulting toward me because they think I'm no longer there. They either wait for me to move, or disappear, or don't bother and turn around and run because they know I might appear…
-
Doesn't know how to properly play Bubba, obviously.
-
Slower gen progression for red rank survivors. Or more gens. Or both, ideally. Shorter timer for DS would also be nice, while I'm wishing for unicorns and such. :P
-
Some days I'm so fed up with the post game messaging I actually start blocking players during the lobby countdown. I don't even know if they're going to be jerks or not, it just seems easier to do and prevents me from replying with something that'll just earn me a communications ban later. Only seems to be an issue with…
-
Xbox here, I've seen the same. I mean I thought I wouldn't have too much trouble since I could sometimes get a pip against the one or two or sometimes three reds I would face in higher rank lobbies. When I hit red and every survivor was also red all of the time, I couldn't do much but break even on pips. It as probably as…
-
So I'm kind of benevolent at this point. Killer Main here, though I do run a P3 survivor so I'm not all bad, to say matchmaking is only bad when everyone is in the red (or killer isn't using top end perks and add-ons). I mean look yeah if you're in a game with red ranks and you are playing a baby Trapper with no add-ons,…
-
This is how I play. Generally I have two builds, one for max bp regardless of how long the game lasts, and one for max damage if I'm feeling mean and looking for a 4k. The rest of the time I'm going with different combinations to see what if anything I can get out of them just for fun. It's a game. Why so serious everyone?
-
I know they're improving locations, I just think a few hard rules could be implemented. Not spawning them a specific distance from a generator for instance, or open hallways. Corn fields are fine, but right there as your walk around the institute, not cool. The outside edges of shacks? I mean survivors sounds half their…
-
The current system seems just fine to me. Hook suicide or disconnect, valid tactical plays. If someone wants to take that kind of penalty to let a sole survivor out, so be it. Don't be so hard up for 4k. I say this as killer main. If you aren't enjoying the game because of this kind of thing, take a break.
-
But no comment on what I wrote? Seriously?
-
But really, stop rushing the generators and go look for bones. It's not that hard. Sometimes they spawn in sneaky locations, but last week I had mine down in the hallway of a map of all places. It's RNG, so deal.
-
There's a perk for that.
-
Nothing? No comments at all?
-
I slug if it's situationally beneficial, or I'm running perks for it specifically. I camp when I'm down to 2 gens and haven't even gotten a hook. Some games go like that. They usually get away anyway. Toxicity is directly proportional to how aggravating the survivors happen to be. If I'm getting a lot of chases and hits in…
-
Slow down a trial by requiring some gens to need gas. Could be random or based on repair speed or skill check fails or whatever. Having to go find gas cans, maybe spawning in lockers would be cool, would slow things up nicely without being too burdensome.
-
I don't think gens should be blocked. If people want to ignore totems that's fine, there's perks for that. I do think some way to slow down repair time directly proportional to how fast all five are being completed would help. Also I've suggested insanely hard skill checks if repairs happen insanely fast. Could add another…
-
Also maybe adding in some kind of scale where the faster gens are taken down, the more insanely hard skill checks become?
-
I don't use ruin. Too many other useful perks. Discordance is helpful for finding the groups, and if you're using certain killers (Billy or bubba for instance) you can nail two or three at a time to halt the Genrussians in their tracks. On the other hand it does get old spawning so far away from survivors that they…
-
Yeah some nights are just tough for killers. The good side is you have no wait time for a lobby, but that's only because all of the killers have been scared out of the game and either quit playing or switched to survivor.
