It would be cool if they made more perks like Rancor in the future. It actually makes you NOT want to be the obsession and it’s fun and fair for both sides.
-
It feels even shorter than last patch. The lunge add on and normal gameplay don’t feel different. Either way it’s worth looking into if they have the time.
-
DS is one of the strongest survivor perks there is. The mere presence of at least one DS in the trial (obsession in the HUD) completely changes how killers play. No other perk can grant the level of immunity that the 60 second timer allows, especially in the endgame. Combined with Unbreakable or a locker, there is 0…
-
So if DS isn't meant to counter tunneling, what is the purpose of the perk?
-
I stopped playing because I was getting so frustrated. This game makes me feel so powerless. My skill as a player doesn't seem to matter due to the bs perks and innumerable bugs in this game. I held on for a long time hoping the devs would fix things, but after mishandling dedicated servers and the ruin nerf I called it…
-
So your solution for getting killers out of range of a hook is to... slow them down while in range of a hook?
-
I got this game to play killer. I liked feeling was scary and in control. Then I got to red ranks. I quit a few months ago. I'm glad I got out when I did. It saved me a lot of time, anger, and frustration from playing this broken, buggy, imbalanced mess of a game.
-
I bought this game for old Freddy, and I was looking forward to his rework. He's much better (obviously), but they made him much stronger and easier. Since old Freddy was so weak, it was a fun challenge to do well with his extremely unique playstyle. There were also a lot of different ways to play him and use his power.…

I'm disappointed, but not surprised. Deathslinger definitely needed a buff or two from the PTB. Not sure why the sabotage changes went live in that state either.
-
As long as my team actually does something useful with the gen aura Better Together provides, it's pretty good. Otherwise, Kindred essentially does the same thing and more. I'd like to see something better with the teammate aura reading that Better Together gives you.
-
Because I already quit.
-
The difference is that Ruin was the only perk that functioned as a bandaid fix for ridiculously fast gen speeds, while DS was reworked to be one of the most powerful perks in the game. I legitimately do not understand how you guys came to the conclusion that nerfing Ruin with no compensation to the rest of the game was the…
-
It's becoming clear to me that this game requires much more attention and care than the current dev teams can give. Whether that's due to time constraints or lack of resources, it doesn't matter. I'll come back if they ever decide to do something big and serious about the game's health.
-
Aside from passive perks like M&A, many killer perks have a lot of counterplay to them. BBQ, for example, has several ways for survivors to avoid the aura reading effect entirely. My point is that meta perks like Unbreakable, DS, DH, Borrowed Time, Iron Will, Sprint Burst, Adrenaline, etc. give huge value with…
-
I don't understand why killer perks have so many conditions and drawbacks, while meta survivor perks essentially have zero downsides.
-
I think it would be cool if survivors had a unique ability. Although with how strong survivor perks are, I'm not sure they would need it. I would like if they gave downsides to survivor perks (like killer perks) so they could afford to have unique survivor powers too. But as someone else said, items kind of fill that slot…
-
I quit about 3 weeks ago. The toxicity and stress from playing this game was too much. My mental health has really improved, and I have no desire to return to it. This is a common trend among (mostly) killer players, but it's something that mainly affects survivors. No reason for someone to see this post and say, "Bye…
-
It’s like the devs are being purposely dense on this topic. The issue isn’t that such a thing as “auto aim” exists, it’s that whatever it is, it negatively impacts our games in situations that normally would be fine. We want it fixed or removed.
-
In my opinion, the risk/reward for cleansing as a survivor is far too imbalanced, which is why nobody cleanses. These are the issues I see: Being sick isn't that big of a deal for experienced players (especially with the current meta perks). It's too easy to get sick after cleansing for the cost of giving her corrupt…
-
Used to be Freddy, but I find his rework kind of boring actually. At least he's an actual killer though. Now it's definitely Oni. I haven't had that much fun playing killer in a long time.
-
Most of the times if I get DS'd it feels justified, but a lot of survivors just wave it in my face as a "you can't touch me" perk. They'll do a gen right in front of me or they'll jump in a locker so I can't just slug them. I could probably live with those if not for how unbelievably strong DS is in the endgame. Since it…
-
I think the concept of BT is balanced, but deep wounds/mend bar has been buffed so much with Legion there's zero risk to using the perk. But the same can be said with a lot of meta perks.
-
I haven't quit, but I'm definitely not playing as much as I used to. Playing killer is too stressful for the fun I get out of it, and I'm not as interested in playing survivor unless I'm with a friend. I'm waiting for something from the devs to encourage me to play, but so far the game's been going downhill. The Oni buff…
-
I think a nice rework to keys is that they're mostly used for aura-reading. The purple key could be used after the hatch is closed, while the skeleton key could open it at any time if you're the last survivor or the gens have been completed. This would fix those annoying situations where you might have a 3-gen or a lot of…
-
A lot of people who played killer are likely just taking a break, switching to survivor, or playing in ways that are generally disliked by the survivors they play with (NOED, camping, tunneling). We don't know how many killers actually did quit though since we don't have the data. I have noticed an uptick in tunneling and…
-
I do sometimes if I'm already having some bad games. I don't need my teammates Mori-ing me too.
-
I only dodge lobbies when someone has a key. You'd dodge if you could see the killer equip a Mori, wouldn't you? But I don't think the killers you had were dodging because of a single toolbox. Maybe they saw a SWF group or multiple items or something.
-
I haven't seen that bug before. One that constantly messes my games up is the bug where she can't charge her second blink. But I wouldn't be surprised if she has even more issues since her rework.
-
Not mad, just dissapointed.
-
I can't tell if OP is inexperienced or trolling. The people commenting here are confused because you don't need a perk to slug someone. You just... slug them. By leaving them on the ground. No perk necessary. So I'm not sure what the point of this thread is.
-
I love Jane’s moaning. Steve and maybe Nancy have the worst VAs in my opinion.
-
I'm All Ears I thought, "That's kind of nice I guess," but on some killers (Nurse especially), it eliminates certain mind games at windows and pallets.
-
Whatever you call it, I think most of us would like for it to be revisited to account for trees and obstacles. It feels bad to miss an otherwise guaranteed hit because of something that theoretically should make the game function better.
-
I don’t think DS would be so powerful if games didn’t end so quickly. I appreciate having an anti-tunneling perk (if you can even call it that with how abusable it can be), but it can be difficult to play killer efficiently when there are four of them in a match since you can’t touch at least one survivor at any given time.
-
Killers feel cheated out of kills and a real game when a key is used. All of the effort they put in the game up until that point becomes meaningless (keys are nice to use when your teammates are potatoes though). The same can be said about a Mori, survivors feel cheated out of a game and are shoved back into the queue.
-
Most of the people who play killer aren't necessarily saying that the game is unfair, but rather the game demands much more effort/skill/planning compared to playing survivor. Granted, this is sort of by design, but it is demoralizing to see the game becoming even more challenging with the recent nerfs to killer powers and…
-
I would love a better view when crouched. It’s nearly impossible to see anything on maps with lots of grass.
-
Sometimes I like going for a unique healing build with Autodidact, Empathy, and Solidarity. Fourth perk is just whatever. It doesn’t always work since there are a lot of other ways my teammates heal themselves, but when I get those 5 stack skill checks, healing is super fast.
-
What was up with the blatant survivor bias in the Doctor/Ruin forum post? For example, all of the “benefits” listed for changing Ruin were for survivor enjoyment with no mention of how it would impact low tier killers.
-
I hover around rank 2-5 as killer depending on if I want to play viable killers that day. I don't play much survivor, so I'm at rank 8 I think.
-
If you have 8 stacks of Dying Light, that probably means at least one or two people are already dead. The 24% slow means nothing since you're probably at the end game at that point.
-
I like running the sabotage toolbox with flip flop, unbreakable, tenacity, and boil over/breakdown/saboteur. If I get a good map I’m basically invulnerable in certain spots. I’m not really doing anything besides wasting the killer’s time, but it’s still pretty fun.
-
I don't see a reason that you need to be toxic and belittling to people who play killer; they are the reason you have a game to play. This kind of stuff will cause your queue times to skyrocket and your matches to be less enjoyable.
-
I never really understood why some survivor mains were mean/toxic to killers when that person was the reason they could actually play a game. In a game like this, that toxicity will drive away an already small crowd of people that is required for a match. Then they'll complain about queue times and ask, "Why does nobody…
-
Most killers relied on ruin to stand a chance in high ranks because of how quickly gens can be completed without it. It was more of a bandaid fix for gen speeds since the devs don’t seem to know or want to balance it. 5 gen 4ks only really happen when the survivors make mistakes or are inexperienced. The change is a huge…
-
Entitled, low rank survivor main known for gems like: “After seeing the crying I’m glad they nerfed ruin. Crybabies deserve it.” ”Only weak killers use ruin.” ”Killer community is extremely toxic towards devs. I don’t see survivors bullying the devs like this.” “Looks like we’ll be losing a lot of crybaby killers. Good for…
-
Play in red ranks for a while and see if your opinion changes.
-
I’ve been having success some games with Blood Echo. I’m mostly just tired of seeing every survivor using Dead Hard.
-
I'm a rank 4-5 player, and in one game I went against four rank 2's. Then I had a game right after with ranks 16, 18, 18, and 6. My matches are so wildly inconsistent with the current matchmaking.
-
Maybe it shouldn't have been titled "buff Nurse," but "make Nurse feel better to play." At the very least they should fix the bugs that the rework and dedicated servers created.
