My big issue with it is the new lighting they released a few years back. How can we be dead by daylight if it's the MIDDLE OF THE DAY?!? Bring back the original release lighting!
-
I just noticed this today as well. I think it must have been fairly recent on my end, maybe within the past hotfix or so for me.
-
If they got rid of both Judith's Tombstone AND Tombstone Piece, then it wouldn't be technically possible and then they could change it.
-
Unfortunately, BHVR is not allowed to modify the achievement for Xbox/PS as long as it is technically possible, according to Sony and Microsoft's rules around achievements. This makes it extremely unlikely they'd make changes to it for any other platform as well.
-
Yeah, but getting 3 hooks at most, 0 kills, teabagged at the exit gate, and told to uninstall in post-game chat because you're playing the worst killer and 4 worst perks in the game sounds like a lot of suffering just to get bloodpoints. I don't think enough people will be willing to make that choice to make this plan…
-
Only if killers can see whether the survivors are in a SWF and what their perks are, just so they don't get any surprises.
-
I'd like this to work, but given how 2v8 has been where even a 250-400% max bloodpoint incentive didn't really lead people to play survivor over killer, I think people's desire to have fun playing with the killers they like and/or the perks they like is going to far outrank a few more bloodpoints in most cases.
-
Great to hear. Hopefully this will lead to more killers using scourge perks and concentrating on hooking people to get the benefits instead of concentrating on slugging as their plan of attack.
-
Effect doubled vs. SWFs, halved vs. solo players.
-
P100 is a problem because half of all P100 survivors instantly suicide on the first hook because they expect to win every game and rage quit the second the game looks even mildly challenging.
-
I've become a fan of that as well. The only thing I've run into is that it requires a good start, otherwise you're down to 2 gens right as you get your first hook, then things just get worse from there.
-
Make mori basekit and then killers will have already gotten 3 moris and won't need to slug to see it on the 4th survivor.
-
I'm running Resilience, Deja Vu, Streetwise, & a Commodious toolbox with double charges to slam gens as fast as I can. I didn't want to waste time with invocations when I can almost have a whole gen done immediately by the time I'd be doing an invocation. As for messing around in the endgame by trying to do chests or…
-
I'd love a change like this. Every time I try and aim at a survivor's feet to get the hit with the UVX, they just move slightly and it just passes through them and misses their feet, leading them to be minusculely slowed for a portion of a second before racing away.
-
Imagine trying to complete Outbreak Breakout without RPD offerings. It might take you literally years to complete.
-
This is because the devs prioritize match queue times over actual skill matching as the SBMM algorithm priority. When the devs did testing with a bunch of different SBMM options, more people prioritized fast queues than they did more even games, so that's what the devs went with.
-
That's what happens when the main consideration for MMR is choosing players to "make queue times low". Most games are stomps for one side as a result.
-
Sounds like the same experience as when there's not an event, barring the issues with the time-sensitive event archive challenges.
-
Event mode is busted with the patch, survivors just stop leaving scratch marks for the rest of the match after using smoke once. Have to have my volume set to 11 just so I can try to hear survivors making even the slightest bit of noise.
-
Can confirm, scratch marks are gone for all survivors for the rest of the game once smoke is used. Please fix this as quickly as possible and/or extend the event for however many days it takes to get a fix out, as it essentially makes killer almost impossible in the event mode.
-
Since the killswitch for flashbangs is gone, survivors are back to abusing this. Are there any plans to fix this, or is the only solution just bringing Lightborn every match?
-
Having very little enjoyment as survivor. I know they probably pitched this as a part of the Castlevania chapter release to the license owners but I really wish they just brought back Chaos Shuffle a week earlier.
-
Finally got this done after way too many times when I should have grabbed them on a vault but the game said instead "NO, YOU HIT THEM SO HARD THEY EXPLODED!"
-
Exactly this. I can perfectly face into a corner to supposedly safely pick up but survivors are somehow allowed to glitch into my model and drop an unavoidable flashbang. If the devs were to fix that glitch, I'd be perfectly fine with flashbangs.
-
It would be amusing to blast death metal at max volume whenever a killer is close so they can't actually hear any in-game sounds like footsteps, someone getting into a locker, or even the chase starting music if they somehow don't actually see you moving right away.
-
Just have an EMP handy and hope your teammates are grabbing them as well. Assuming your team does that, he's just a robot with a knife hand having to waste time constantly having to place new cameras to try and re-goop you.
-
Bold of you to assume that even without lobby dodging that MMR will ever feel good to players in its current state. It's just going to try and throw 5 random players into a match as quick as possible like it's been programmed to do for the past few years.
-
It's like you're in a Fast and Furious film drifting a car whenever you're not moving in a perfectly straight line.
-
It's vault grabs only, which is why unless you're farming it it'll probably be 300 games before you'd get it done due to the grab registration being almost nonexistent.
-
Pretty sure it's vault grabs, which, given the constant registration issues with grabs, ought to be easy to grind out in only about 300 matches.
-
All you have to do is just have an EMP and he's useless. He's weak, if anything.
-
Sounds like it means that MMR is broken, as we've all known for ages.
-
Singularity barely got buffed. Every survivor still has an EMP in hand whenever you come across them and even if you make them burn theirs, their teammates will be nearby with another one. They need to keep working to bring Singularity up to snuff.
-
MMR has worked less and less with each update. There's no rhyme or reason as to whether your next game will be against the sweatiest players of all time or literally 4 stoned potato gamers. The devs just need to throw it out completely and either start fresh or just match you completely randomly, because whatever is…
-
We need about another 100k concurrent players and all of them being survivor mains so killer queues in both modes don't take 15 minutes minimum, then the devs can bring it back permanently. Right now I spend more time reading books while in queue than actually playing killer when I'm working on completing killer archive…
-
Ran into this as well, pretty sure this challenge existed in the past and worked fine even if you didn't escape.
-
I'll be glad when 2v8 is gone, at least until they add more killers to it to have some variety. Every 2v8 match has a Huntress who's using one of the 57 methods of aura reveal in this mode to blast you from the other side of the map. Even in this mode with 7 other survivors to choose from, the killers will still be racing…
-
You'll probably need to crank that incentive up to "a million bloodpoints a match" to even out the queue times.
-
Ain't that the truth. I've been in a cage and had 4 people show up at the same time to unhook me! Multiple times!
-
Killer is slightly less stressful and chaotic than survivor, but is tempered by the 11 minute queues. At least I've got an ebook to make progress on while I wait.
-
It's too stressful and chaotic. I'd prefer they just bring back Chaos Shuffle instead.
-
I doubt they'll actually do anything significant about it in the near future. The anti-camp method they have today is already massively undertuned, requiring a killer to practically be on the hook with you to trigger.
-
Yep, just lost a game to this when the 2nd to last gen got repaired and instantly went to having the gates powered.
-
When BHVR announced dedicated servers originally, the region locations where they'd be hosted matched up with the Amazon Web Services regions, so unless they've already switched to either a different cloud provider or datacenter solution, your options are go yell at Jeff Bezos to create more datacenters in different…
-
The last time I remember the devs discussing it, they said something along the lines of it being nearly impossible to do so without having to rewrite a bunch of the game and/or causing a ton of unrelated bugs in the process. Hence, they went with the P1/2/3 = that level of perks on all characters solution instead to the…
-
If they're gonna have achievements that require certain maps (especially the nightmare known as Outbreak Breakout), they should keep map offerings to make them more reasonable to obtain.
-
Yep. MMR doesn't seem to matter or actually change most of the time. You'll lose 10 games in a row and still face top-tier opponents before facing 5 games of absolute babies before repeating the cycle with no rhyme or reason as to why the matchmaking system decided to make you suffer or bored, with absolutely nothing in…
-
The toxicity of killer players isn't any different from usual. They're always this toxic, you're just noticing it more because getting tunneled out at 5 gens means you miss out on 200k+ blood points a match.
-
Just make remote hooking from the event part of the killer basekit, then hooks don't have to respawn.
-
Love to spend 2 minutes being an Amazon delivery driver for the rest of my solo queue team that isn't dealing with their own dropped items.
