It should so that the game can end quicker, since the match is concluded and is just dragging on at that point. Again, there's no good reason for that other than to waste time.1 -

At the end of the match, with survivor only being on the ground, the game is over. There's no other gameplay to be had other than dying and ending the match unless they can make it to the hatch.…1
