Easy fix to this problem. Make it so that the key is never in the first and last box. Therefore, if there are 4 boxes, the key would appear in the second/third box that is searched.1 -

Probably not in a chase, can happen if you're a 110 killer on certain loops as well.3 -

This is where I am with this game as well. I did just enough challenges to get the rift done and I didn't enjoy playing the game for the most part.3
