The hillbilly is fine where he is. He doesn't need a ######### nerf. Learn how to run a killer around and get better map sense.

It's easy to counter BBQ. Either get within range, run in one direction when the person is hooked count to 4 then change direction, or just put a gen between you and the hook. And this is for any killer, not just Billy.

Are you joking about that nerf? Cause it would neuter Billy. The only reason he's high tier is because of his map presence, the instadown chainsaw which requires you to actually hit them (not that easy against survivors who know what they're doing) and because of that mobility and momentum.. Take that away even if it's just for 30 seconds and he loses any momentum and any map presence which is nearly a third of a generators completion. And then why use him at all? Because you would have to choose between ending a chase quickly, or pressuring gens. You'd get no momentum and no one would use Billy.

Billy doesn't need a nerf. Hell even if killers were in a place where we could actually talk about nerfing killers and it wouldn't be a ridiculously stupid idea, the only thing that should ever happen is his ms being reduced to 110% because he has enough mobility with his chainsaw, doesn't need to be base speed too. And that's only after killers are in a good spot, not just better but actually good.

I'm wondering why he doesn't have to clean up his chainsaw after using it on a survivor, would it be gummed up with survivor bits? But I don't even wanna Google whether that would be a thing or not irl.

IRL chainsaws cannot cut through cloth and get wrapped up with it and break. Skin is ok, but blades don't easily cut bones. To even do it, target must not move. If someone is moving, you can't get enough resistance for blades to break it. You would have to swing it with massive momentum or have a specially designed chainsaw. That's why medics use special circular saws or, like Nurse, surgical saws.

But for movies those things are not obstacles so Bubba and Billy can have a nice BBQ together ^^

ps: it was about normal chainsaws that cut quiet slow for domestic purposes. Depending on model and power, of course, it can cut through bones in mere seconds and probably will have more weight. For example if giant disfigured maniac with corresponding chainsaw showed up, don't expect to get out alive.
Also, all chainsaw are dangerous if hit vitals such as guts or neck. If you ever find yourself facing against someone with chainsaw - run. Do not engage. I repeat, for all purposes run. If you have to - try finding weapon of longer range or a way to disable it. Like I said clothes might disable chainsaw, but do not count on it, it depends on specs.

I think most things have already been said in this thread. A Hillbilly Nerf isn't necessary right now and it's possible to conter his High Mobility. In worst case through looping, on which Hillbilly is still very vulnerable.
The only thing that I have to add is, that he far away to be the most balanced Killer out there. The only reason he feels to be in a good spot is because how overpowered survivors are. But really you can't bring every killer on a power level with a high mobility killer, with a strong Instadown and base movement speed.
No survivors need to be brought down, looping to be weakened in some way. And after that we can talk about a proper Hillbilly nerf like turning his movement speed down or adjusting his chainsow hitbox cone, or something like that. But NOT a huge cooldown. Killer shouldn't be punished by using their own ability, or be too much limited when using it. It makes learning them way too frustrating. Just take a look ath the current state of the Spirit in PTB. Her Cooldown makes it way too frustrating.

Well, Nurse get's spanked by entity every time she uses her ability. And at the end player even stares at her foot, just to see how bad of an S entity can be. But, you know, with the way she looks, she's a proper M, so she should be fine :D

For people questioning my proficiency and who only have to say "get gud" this was at solo que red ranks against a billy with BBQ, the only thing that would have stopped him from 4king was that he didn't chainsaw instadown and instead went for standard melee hits on a smaller map Shelter Woods which leaves his bbq relatively useless.

I don't even want a hard nerf literally a 20-30 second cooldown to stop him from snowballing every game with down, hook, bbq, unhook, return to hook, down unhooked, hook, bbq, hook, down, unhook, return to hook ect ect. It's not fun or interesting gameplay. He's in a constant chase after first hook that doesn't end.

Because getting rank 1 with survivor is sooooooooooo hard. Why don’t you try getting to rank 1 with killers? Because if you played killer before, you wouldn’t be making stupid one sided complaints.

Right now he is too powerful and snowballs games too quickly at highranks when combined with bbq survivors have no chance and it turns into a slugfest. My proposal is simple, put a 30 second cooldown on his chainsaw after he downs someone with it. This way he cannot just fly across the map immediately after hooking someone. It’s a soft nerf but atleast gives survivors some breathing room for stealth and not just instadown chainsaw, hook, bbq, fly across map and repeat.
If they did that at all I'd say 5 seconds is enough max but it wouldn't really be fair to just give him specifically a cool down like that when other killers don't really have that on their powers. I play survivor and killer though not hillbilly but my suggestion to you is if you already don't use a headset and get nea's urban evasion. I don't think it's that big of an issue though I don't want to tell you git gud like everyone is doing because that helps nothing. Hiding behind the generator can definitely help but once you've done that just stealth walk away and hide behind something that still let's you see him. They usually leave after not seeing anyone on the gen and if you can avoid starting it if you suspect he'll rush your way.

Yeah, it's just I understand this game can be very frustrating and you generally come here to give or receive actual feedback and I just don't like how each side is usually pretty bias in their responses and I feel killers whine a little too much and refuse to learn different ways to win. Though I play both sides and hillbilly is one of my favorites to play against. The chainsaw for me is only ever really an issue for me when they get close to me and start charging it up because I get nervous.

30 seconds cooldown? Do you want to make him as useless as the Spirit?

so are we gonna put 15 seconds cooldown on Nurse next?

Since the Spirit, the new trend of toxic survivor mains is to ask for every killer's power to have a 20 seconds cooldown minimum.

More and more cancerous after each patchs.

Devs introduced a non-viable killer by giving his powre an insane cooldown. Now survivors reailze that devs actually consider such insane solutiosn (they havent even thought about that themselves before the spirit), so they try to get the only vialbe killers nerfed hard by adding a cooldown to their powers too

IRL, a survivor wouldnt stab you with a shard after he has been hit by a chainsaw

Okay what is the counter to Bbq and billy? Define “get gud” besides looping, sprintburst, bnp, flashlights, and decisive? Do you have any valid discussion or insightful opinions? There is zero stealth play once a billy hooks someone, just constant chases with the threat of instant downs. No counterplay. Period. No other killer has a secondary ability that can apply as much pressure as Billy’s chainsaw with bbq. You all know it’s broken, without it most killers would 2k-3k at high ranks instead of constant 4ks.

His power can be countered, BBQ can be countered easily.
The fact that billy quickly leaves the hook and goes for someone new across the map is the way every killer should work instead of just sticking around and worrying about that someone is gonna go for a save.

Bubba is the exact opposite, he's designed to camp, almost every Bubba I meet has Insidious, so if any killer is in need of a rework it's him.

Which is a shame about LF because I think he is visually one of the most intimidating killers, shame his power doesn't back that up.

The Hillbilly is arguably one of the most balanced of the killers. Instead of demanding that his ability be nerfed, how about you try to learn to play against him?

Hes been the same way for more then 2yrs now doubt the devs will change him.. if they do change him in anyway he'll be low tier... he's loopable just like any other killer that isnt nurse and stealth does work against him.....

this thread has been caused by how easy it is to rank up because there were no issues with Billy when inexperienced survivors werent in the red ranks

The counter to Billy is not to hide behind a gen. That rarely works with any half-observant killer. Hide somewhere else. If I hear that chainsaw revving, I get down behind cover and move to an area he isn't putting as much pressure on. It also helps to save the indoor gens for last so that you have more cover to work with against him late game. A counter to BBQ would be to trick the killer into thinking you are running somewhere when they can see your aura, then turn around and go the opposite direction when the aura wears off. The billy will usually try to cut you off where they saw you going. Mind games.

Yeah, that Google search would probably put you on a list...

The answer is yes, you do need to clean it. However, as long as you're not butchering to FDA standards a quick rev would get most of the gunk out (if a bit messily). And let's face it... If you're butchering with a chainsaw, the FDA is probably not a concern.

That my friend is why the Hillbilly is good. People have already mentioned every counter to BBQ and billy so learn them or you are going to die to billy often. Devs need to get the other killers to Billy's level, not the opposite. #dontnerfgoodkillers

Can you give an example of an answer that you would prefer to the ones rhat we have been giving? Most of us gave actual tips and strategies to avoid bbq or to avoid the chainsaw and said to practice and learn them. That CAN be boiled down to "git gud" if you really want to simplify it a lot, but it was by no means lazy.
