I just wrote down my opinion on what will happen after the November deadline.

Hopefully this isnt going to be a pattern for licensed content. We dont need a bunch of characters that is unavailable from parts of our playerbase based on when they started playing the game. I know I like seeing my favorite horror icons in game and it would really suck if BHVR stopped having them on the basis of wasted work time on stuff they can't use for the entire life of the game. Would also suck to see BHVR be hesitatant on spending time tweeking things for licensed characters. I know personally, I think Demogorgon is in a good spot but lets say he WASNT for arguements sake... why would they buff a character they can't sell anymore. Id hate to see a licensed killer come out that was a balanced mess, only for the license to be yanked and BHVR lose any motivation to fix them.

Oh oh oh
Why my discussion changed name and why the comments are all mixed up!?!??

Nothing about your initial post implied it was just a prediction. It can easily be mistaken for fact.

"Fixed" link: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/292-f-a-q-stranger-things-last-chance-sale
Your link goes to the main Knowledge Base page. I think if the main page is updated then your link won't directly go to the correct page of the FAQ anymore.
There is a bit of ambiguity regarding the updated perks. From the FAQ, emphasis mine:
Teachable perks for Steve, Nancy, and The Demogorgon will remain available to earn on those characters for players who own them, with new versions of these teachables being made available in the Shrine of Secrets to all players.
What exactly does new version mean in this context? Will they be new, separate perks or are the old perks being updated to remove any licensed content? The perk "Fixated" for example shows Nancy. I assume the new version will have different art and a new quote in the description text but function identically in-game. Is that correct?
The next sentence in the FAQ then says:
Any player who has already earned a teachable perk will continue to have it available to learn on their other characters.
Does this mean that there will be two copies of each Stranger Things perk, the old one with the old art, description etc. and a new one with new art? If you have unlocked the old one you keep it, but you can also get a new one from the Shrine?
Using "Fixated" again for example, does that mean there will be a Fixated 2.0 and a Fixated 1.0 (the current version)? Anyone who has the old / current Fixated unlocked keeps it (with the art showing Nancy, assuming that this is something that has to be changed), but there is also a Fixated 2.0 with identical functionality but different icon for example?

You have 10000 comments, but act like you are here for the first time. Everybody writes just their opinions here, claiming whatever they want. I had no links or citations to official sites, so it is obvious, that what I say may not be correct or valid.

Clearly, the mod and multiple people disagree that it's obvious.

I doubt they will and even if they do it will just feel freaking sad.
Imagine Demo being converted into another killer and then just feeling like a skin of that new killer.
And just the idea of making a killer with the same kit is boring. And who knows ... If Stranger Things decides to come back one day you just have 2 killers that are completely the same and not unique.

I hope this dosen't happen to anymore DLC’s. Y’all better buy those cosmetics while you can!

Well. At least we now know that Hawkins will not get a visual rework in the Realm Beyond Update.
not really gonna miss the map, didn’t hate it but it was meh.
Robin and Hopper won’t be Legendarys ever so i guess i don’t have to debate with myself if I would buy those cosmetics. Now I just have to decide if I buy any Nancy outfits, I like to of them (newest and the one with the pony tail/red jacket) but I kinda hoped to see Robin… to buy or not to buy 😩

You didn't pay for the map, as everyone is free to load into it.

I assume this means Demo and his add ons can’t ever be reworked again.

I have very little confidence in purchasing anymore licensed content now - Even if I keep it I don't want ######### to be exclusive at all.

I mean no disrespect, but this is the worst opinion I've ever seen.

That's ok, I stand by it. I'm tired of licensed killers being weak and easily looped anyways.
Just my opinion, no disrespect to the devs.

For anyone wondering what will happen to the perks, here's what they did for the RE chapter on mobile, where they presumably didn't have the license:

I guess we will get it without all the vines as a lery's map

They confirmed on twitter that mobile couldn't get the license:

Ngl, some of those look a bit…off for some reason.
Sidenote, I never noticed Lethal Pursuer’s background are/were Nemesis’ eyes.

i really hate this. i don't care if hawkins was unfun sometimes, it was cool visually and i've had a lot of good games there. just straight up deleting it absolutely ######### blows. demo is one of the best killers across the board. fun to play as and against, strong but not op, what every killer should strive to be like. scoops steve is the best cosmetic in the game. just, idk man it just really ######### sucks seeing this stuff go. ik the characters are still playable and all but i'm still sad.
