Re: Are Killers quitting the game??
I think its overhyped and if anything sways more towards survivors being the role that is being dropped. here my own personal experience with people I know who have tried the game or played before.
New players - Plays for a little bit but gets frustrated with both roles.
Older players - They don't want to play survivor anymore, I have like 40 or so people on my steam who play dbd, people I used to lobby with now most either don't play the game at all anymore or play killer the majority of the time.
Re: Are Killers quitting the game??
I havent really noticed a drop in killer players, but I have noticed a very significant drop in survivor players. BP rewards are consistently higher towards survivor, and the only times I see them towards killers, is 3-4am my region when 99% of potential players are asleep. And they've been dropping since April last year.
As for new players, I wont be so sure, pretty much all the player gain from RE and FNAF have all gone
Re: Are Killers quitting the game??
Haven't seen any real change of amount of killer players. Some people state they stop playing but what proof we have they stopped and there is always new players.
Re: Why does Freddy have such a high kill rate?
I don't think he is too difficult to counter, personally. The biggest mistake would be the healing under hook when asleep, players either don't know, don't care, or forget. I personally rarely project back to hook as I'm typically occupied elsewhere, but I could imagine a number of Freddy's do take advantage of it to tunnel. Alarm clocks are also pretty accessible to survivors when needed. Dream pallets i think are negligible. I might conjure a few but a lot of survivors tend to get rid of them when they spot them, so i like to prioritise snares.
Overall i think he isn’t a difficult killer to pick up and learn, which is probably a primary factor. i have good success with him without overcomplicating the game or using his full kit to my advantage. And I'm pretty sure he had high kill rates before his last rework, so even the healing while injured thing probably doesn't matter much. So i dunno. Random1543 could be right that newer players might boost the kill rates, but I believe the stats exclude low MMR so you'd hope those in mid-MMR have some knowledge of counterplay but perhaps not.
Re: Seriously, I'm tired of 2v8 extensions...
while i have grown to strongly dislike the mode myself, even less fun on the killer end than 1v4 if I'm being honest, extending it every time gets annoying for a lot of players who want to play standard 1v4 without it feeling like more of a sweat fest than it already is. for once I wish they'd end it when it's scheduled to end
Killers ping shouldn’t be my problem.
having to accommodate for someone else’s ping as survivor is tiresome, why should I have to play differently to try and counter it. Out of all the games I play iv never known ping to favour one side than the other.
Re: Get rid of that “entity displeased” screen…
If a screen offends people that much, we may have bigger issues, respectfully.
I don't think it be a negative to remove it, I just don't think that it would help that much.

Re: What are some of the biggest missplays you see a lot by your team mate sin 2v8?
I've found it painfully annoying to play 2v8 survivor because the second it goes to 1 generator everyone decides it's not their problem and don't do any generators. It's infuriating because half the time this is only the result because they 5-gen themselves due to only wanting to do the corner gens.
Re: What are some of the biggest missplays you see a lot by your team mate sin 2v8?
- Survivors DON'T know how to manage the RPD map.
- When 1 generator remains, everyone stops working on generators.
- Too much altruism in rescuing and healing 1 survivor in the cage; only 1 survivor is needed to perform a rescue/heal.
- Survivors all concentrate in one area of the map.
EDIT - The "flashlight" class in general... just its existence, is a huge help to killers (for many reasons)
The double punishment in 2v8 for fair play?
Hello everyone,
as some of you may know I am back from my DBD break and the game is much more fun after some chill time.
After all that I still got a question and I don´t want this to be an us vs them so please be honest in this discussion.
My problem is the following.
We all know that tunneling is the most unfun thing in this game so tunneling should be "punished" am I right? I think we can all agree in this. But as it seems are Killers who spread hooks in 2v8 the ones which are punished more strictly.
What do I mean?
- If the Killer gets 3 hooks this could mean that 3 Survivors got a hookstate each or that one Survivor is already dead. In both scenarios the gens get the same amount of gen speed but the Survivors numbers are different. So tunneling is sadly the better way here.
But now I get to the point which is the more problematic in my opinion and these are the abilitys which are unlocked after the first hook stage is archived.
What do I mean?
- If I decide to not tunnel I have till hookstate sixteen, eight stronger Survivors to deal with than Killers which go for elimanation every 3 hooks.
So I am a bit buffled. Shouldn´t this be the other way around?
Shouldn´t the Survivors which are tunneld out get more help than the ones which are more safe?
Maybe I am missing something but thats the moment I ask you for your help.
