Re: The Current Pace of Matches Makes Slowdown Feel Necessary.
I actually agree with part of this.
I don't think simply increasing generator repair times is the answer. Sitting on a generator for longer isn't exactly engaging gameplay, and I don't think most survivors would enjoy that.
Where I think the issue comes in is coordinated teams. A good SWF can share information instantly, call out killer location, identify perks early, coordinate saves, split generator pressure efficiently, and avoid unnecessary mistakes. None of that is against the rules, but it definitely creates a different experience compared to facing four solo queue survivors.
The challenge is that the game has to be balanced around both solo queue and SWF. If you nerf generators too much, solo queue gets hit hard. If you balance entirely around solo queue, coordinated groups can become extremely efficient.
That's partly why I think regression perks are so common. Many killers aren't bringing slowdown because they expect solo queue survivors to fly through gens. They're bringing it because they never know if the next lobby is going to be a highly coordinated team.
That said, I don't think SWF should be punished for playing with friends. The real goal should be closing the gap between solo queue and coordinated groups rather than directly nerfing one side. The smaller that gap becomes, the easier it is to balance the game overall.
Re: The Current Pace of Matches Makes Slowdown Feel Necessary.
I think generator speeds are fine - it would be even more boring repairing gens if time was longer - but I do think that something needs to be done to nerf coordinated teams a bit. Past stats have shown that SWF at high MMR has a significantly higher escape rate than the 40% target, and it sure feels that way playing against good coordinated teams. I don’t think this will ever happen because SWF will be in an uproar complaining about being “punished” for playing with friends, not acknowledging their unfair advantage.
Re: Buff lesser killers to their 2v8 state
Dracula is easily one of the strongest if not the strongest A tier killers in the game, with only a couple other killers being stronger than him. He does NOT need buffs
Re: Can we please do something about this 2 survivor scenario?! It is really boring to deal with.
What are you even suggesting? That survivors just walk up to the killer because they decided to slug someone? You can't just take other people's words and apply them to things that make no sense. It's hilarious to call people vultures because of another player's decision to suppress an intended mechanic.
Re: If you could change one thing about the DBD gameplay, what would it be?
Lower pallet density
Re: If you could change one thing about the DBD gameplay, what would it be?
1: one free "instant hook" per generator completed. For example anniversary events / pyramid head, that cannot be used on someone previously hooked.
2: something for dead survivors to do besides spectate. That can still earn points. Perhaps flying around as crows (that cannot see the killer) rebuilding 1 use pallets like Rick's at a rather long cooldown. (As an example)
3: an offering the killer can bring to spawn basements in both main and shack.
4: something to make legendaries feel like the primary characters rather than just an extra cosmetic. For example when equipped, changes the character select portrait, changes the prestige rewards badge, cosmetic customisations etc.
5: hook endurance rework. The off hook endurance causes loss of hitbox and collision until timer is over, but lasts half as long once exit gates are powered. Perks that effect offhook endurance would be reworked to cause endurance to work like it currently does.
6: totem spawn rework, and all hexes not being alight until first activation.
7: dbd mobile style communication wheel. For example being able to select "going for unhook" "killer is camping" "focus generators" "focus healing" etc. That comes out of your icon on the hud for other survivors to see.
Re: Can we please do something about this 2 survivor scenario?! It is really boring to deal with.
Check offerings, see a hidden one and assume hatch shack and then check main if hatch isn't there
What if I down survivor on other side of the map and I know it's impossible to get in shack on time?
You don't have every advantage in the hatch race, when survivor can be waiting at finish line and even if you win, you have to win another race.
So by playing into this, you have to win normal game, hatch game and gate game.
I personally don't care about 4k and just go afk after the third kill, simply because I can't be bothered to deal with hatch/gate part of the game. Asking killers to do it willingly seems entitled to me.
Whenever I need 4k for challenge, or something. I am going to slug for it, because it's simply better in every way.

Tunneling.
I don't care about it personally, I like to deal with it.
My friends didn't tho, they left or decreased their play time.
Re: Why are there constantly nonstop Showcases?!
I think they're using the showcase to their advantage to gather data on maps. I could be wrong though since ideally they would be trying to gather data on the least popular maps, or the most problematic.
Re: Why are there constantly nonstop Showcases?!
Its just a new anniversary thing I don't mind it really I'd recommend doing stuff like cleaning or smth productive while you wait
Map showcase queue times are rather short and allow you to learn maps better though so
