Re: Sexual misconduct
Honestly, I entirely agree (except for the crime accusations), but there is pretty much 0% chance the company will actually take the same stance. We have pretty much normalized such behavior these days which is frankly just sad. We don't really think of it as a big deal, but no one really thinks about what it is genuinely representing - and hardly anyone seems to care.
Now for the hard part to ever implement this - where's the line? Our characters are virtually hurting and killing each other, but clearly it's a game and no one is actually being injured. If such "not allowed" WAS pushed into things like tea-bagging, then what's to stop someone from pushing further and claiming the same about in-game violence? It's a slippery slope that could end up harming the gaming industry permanently. Someone doesn't like tea-bagging, then someone doesn't like taunts, then someone doesn't like violence, and at some point, once we "purge" all of these things that someone out there isn't comfortable with, we won't have much left over. Something always offends someone.
Long story short - I see your point, but I can also understand why game devs have chosen not to discourage it.
Re: Can we please do something about this 2 survivor scenario?! It is really boring to deal with.
Sorry but i am yet to see a horror movie where character gets to escape thanks to hatch spawning right under their legs. Mind sharing?
MCs in those movies almost always have to put A LOT of effort or mindgaming to escape
Re: Nerf or Rework Sprint Burst
Sprint Burst has remained unchanged ever since they introduced the exhaustion status effect 7-8 years ago. Why would they feel the need to change it now? Also it isn’t even the Exhaustion perk with the highest pickrate. The reason a lot of people like it is because it’s a lot more straightforward compared to the other Exhaustion perks. I wish more perks could be like this without needing an certain actions and requirements to activate.
Sexual misconduct
Just wondering when permanent bans are gunna be handed out for players that feel its ok to teabag other players. If I may explain, my character is a live representation of myself and I'm maneuvering said character in the way that I would in real life to the best of the games ability. Doing these things to my character is not at all funny, it's unwanted and sick. And knowing that another live person is doing it and thinking it's funny and ok, and BHVR not penalizing people on it bc they "view it as a taunt", well, that's just creepy. Ur justifying sexual misconduct....?
Re: Any fun toxic streamer stories?
So have been recently trying to get back to being ok with Trickster who has lightborn, Starstruck, iron maiden, and cruel limits. One match at auto haven (the one with the cottage) had some random ttv and i think at least 2 in a party (not fully sure but more later).
So in the match I go find first guy, chase as normal, got a hit, guy throws pallet and tries blinding me when i reach it. I literally just stare at him as i throw enough knives to down him. Literally didn't move out of the way as i'm pelting him. So i go "ok then…" turns out the ttv comes out from who knows where and drops a flashbang…I proceed to hook my prize and go to last aura location at main. Go up the stairs to be stunned by head on and somehow they got another bang and proceed to drop it in my face as stunned…which goes over as well as expected as iron maiden and lightborn say "ha no" and bat him down. Who shows up but another survivor looking to blind with their flashlight!~ They were soooo starstruck they let me smack them… Can you see where the match is going? Only the one who stayed the hell away from me lasted any time off the hook.
Then the ending. Instead of blaming themselves for repeatedly trying to blind me, instead of NOT using the lockers after the first time, HELL, instead of realizing that I had lightborn stop trying what do i get? Salt. Salt about how im "lame" for running lightborn and my build in general, salt for tunneling somehow, salt for apparently switching to lightborn (and no i didn't, i didn't pay attention to what everyone had when in lobby), salt for this, and salt for that. The other two kept agreeing with said ttv too (hence between their actions, builds, and "cooperation" thinking a party). I pointed out the obvious of the above and got a lot more rage outta it too.
Re: Can we please do something about this 2 survivor scenario?! It is really boring to deal with.
You really don't get much more for a 4k vs a 3k and then only bloodpoints which I have also been told are meaningless when it benefits someones argument. I would actually be happier with the auto-kill system than the existing one simply because it eliminates slug for the 4k. (I read that wrong at first and thought you were talking about the 2v1 scenario) Many people love to argue that kill rates are inflated because of how easy it supposedly is to secure one in endgame, once again it just depends on if it helps their current argument.
So survivors should get a way to kill the killer. That sounds like its what you are arguing for.
no to the slug
I wanted to propose a solution to slugging in Dead by Daylight.
Players who get slugged practically don't get to play the match (assuming they aren't running a specific perk for it). They are left with only two options: slowly crawl around the map or wait for their bleed-out timer to hit zero. This takes 4 minutes—minutes that the player cannot skip, and during which they aren't actually playing. This makes slugging nothing but a frustrating mechanic for the players who have to deal with it.
I wanted to propose a mechanic that might sound a bit wild, although I am sure it is quite fair due to its situational nature.
My proposal is that when survivors reach halfway through their bleed-out progress (not their recovery progress), they have the OPTION to stand up in a new health state: 'Devastated'. In this state, their bleed-out bar will continue to drop at the same speed as before.
'Devastated' will allow them to move only while crouching, making them unable to use exhaustion perks, self-healing perks (such as Self-Care), or items. Additionally, their grunts of pain will be increased by, for example, 50%.
Survivors can still perform actions like repairing generators, opening exit gates, and cleansing totems. However, the main goal is to give them a chance to find an ally to heal them.
What happens if the Killer chases a 'Devastated' survivor?
Survivors in the 'Devastated' state will vault windows and drop pallets 35% slower.
If the Killer hits a 'Devastated' survivor, they will put them back into the dying state. The survivor will then lose 20% of their total bleed-out bar (without dropping below 10% of their remaining total bleed-out time), and they won't be able to trigger the 'Devastated' state again.
Perks to accompany this new mechanic:
Perk 1: Recomposition
While in the dying state, your recovery speed is increased by 30%. When a teammate heals you from the ground, you recover 25% of your total bleed-out bar.
Perk 2: Resilient Will (Te sugerí este nombre)
Allows you to enter the 'Devastated' state a second time per match. Additionally, Killer hits received while in the 'Devastated' state reduce your remaining bleed-out time by 75% less.
Perk 3: Head Start (Te sugerí este nombre)
You can enter the 'Devastated' health state when your bleed-out progress reaches 75% (instead of 50%). Upon standing up, you emit no noise or grunts of pain for the first 4 seconds.
I don't want people to think I'm trying to buff survivors. My goal is to make sure that as long as they are in the match, they actually get to PLAY.
I doubt anyone from DBD will actually read this, but thank you so much for your time <3<3
Re: Survivours are boosted by perks
To be honest the idea of "brain dead playstyle" could go for killers too; many who use so many meta or crutch perks because it's just easier to do so than try anything different. Both sides have a percentage of players who just don't really try to learn with certain perks essentially putting them on auto-pilot, thus often creating very stale matches, so nerfing a few survivor chase-oriented perks will not solve anything in the long run. Also killers can be boosted too, let's not act like it's a survivor only thing.
Re: Sexual misconduct
my character is a live representation of myself
Well, I hope that you will be behind bars then, if you do the same ingame as you do IRL as Killer.
Either stop lying or stop wasting the time of people who want to do actual work, just because you have too much freetime or are bored.
