Weskers' hitbox is too small now. Please fix soon.

Well do you expect someone to be happy when their favorite stuff gets pooped on?

Me when Wesker's hair is slightly less blonde than in the RE:5 spinoff: Weskin Time deluxe premium ultra edition featuring dante from devil may cry (literally unplayable)

how is hunk not the killer type?? the killers themselves are literally angsty teens
0 -
They are original characters. Hunk isn't. Hunk isn't DBD's type of killer. He's just a solider. A survivor. He has killed people but doesn't mean he should be in the killer role. We literally have murderers as survivors so Hunk isn't new.
1 -
I thought this would be about something meaningful like how Wesker's power is barely functional.
Instead you're just whining about a few cosmetics.
0 -
Trust me, I won't be spending money on Trash By My Trash Bin until the game isn't garbage.
0 -
Alright because why not, I am 100% sure that Hunk wouldn’t fit as survivor as Hunk’s name literally means “human unit never killed”, so it would make no sense if he was…killed, also isn’t one of his nicknames also “grim reaper”
Dude is a killer, and if you haven’t noticed he is a legendary skin for specifically Legion, who is very survivor like for a killer
Feng is a cosplayer so why would you find a problem with her cosplaying as an outfit jill wears just cause they both got it at the same time, people like playing Jill and Feng, some people like playing one more than the other, the only reasonable complaint is for just Felix, and even then his skin is fine as well
4 -
The skins are fine.
-"Wesker's power eats toe nails."
This I agree with as Wekser is buggy and weak. He's a B tier killer and I'm not gonna buy a B tier killer when we have 2 S tier killers in the game.
Here's an idea : make every killer into an A tier killer. If you release a B tier killer then I'm not even going to consider buying them.
Wesker should be breaking walls and pallets with his power by default. All the old Gen 0-1 killers cant do this with the exception of the nurse and as a result they suck.
Killers need to have at least 3/5 of the following options to be worth considering buying:
1) fast movement power
2) strong antiloop
3) one hit downs / very fast downs (the ability to keep 8 stacks from STBFL qualifies : see Demo, Pig, Nemesis)
4) nearly instant pallet breaks
5) the ability to pressure multiple survivors at once (Pinhead's cube and Nemesis Zombies are an example)
Something to consider when we look at a killer like Billy is that he only has options #1 and #3 and as a resut he sucks. He kind of has number 4 but not really so in the end he has 2.5 of the 3 requirements to be worth using.

Part of the reason for Nemesis' and Wesker's specific abilities and their limitations is because it is part of the Entity's lore that it edits and refines the powers of people it takes in in order to suit its needs. Take Freddy's lore for example - "His powers were tempered in some ways and focused in others." No one is intended to have the exact same powers they would have had outside because the Entity adjusts them to make them useful to the trial grounds. Killers need to be mostly unstoppable, but also not able to lay waste to anything they touch immediately. The Entity is after the fear of the hunt, the fear of being chased down inexorably. A Rocket Launcher wouldn't exactly be conducive to that kind of fear. That's more fear of being blown up/warzones/fatalism. The Entity eats the cycle of hoping you can escape and then dying anyways. It's partially a game mechanic adaptation thing, but it's also like... a lore thing.

I think wesker Is very fun. Side tangent nemesis needs his gd zombies fixed it's embarrassing
0 -
The special thing about this chapter is that you get some nice new survivor skins.
Wesker in terms of power level sucks. His anti loop is bad because it's the wrong shape for 90% of the loops we have in game. This makes him super "Janky".
He lacks enough tools to be a viable killer.
1 -
Wesker is bitter sweet as of now.
Sweet aka fun is when you can land your power.
Bitter aka clunky / unfun is his tiny hitbox dash and slowness and cooldowns
2 -
When the poop in reality is barely a speck of dust... yeah
The fact that you had to dig so deep as "the cosplay skins of the original survivors is a insult" to find something bad to say shows how good the adeptation really is.
It's honestly impressive that with each anti RE threat you make you convince me more and more what an amazing job BHVR did with both of them
2 -
Damn you, Karu! I am so jelly of your upvote farming skillz! I am literally sitting here in front of my PC, malding like mad!!111

My fix: give the perk three charges. So one survivor in a good spot could burn them all on one survivor on the hook in one hook state, or spread them around. But there is a hard limit and no one can be held hostage against their will. Bam. Done.

You remind me of those people with a list of requirements you have to meet before you can date them.
For me to consider buying, you have to be over 6'0, have a STEM degree, make 120k a year, own a 900 square meter home..

Could you imagine? Go to do a gen and just find a smoking pile of rubble

You need to realize, though, that in Jills case, thats her actuall costume from the first game (or the remake of RE1, to be precise), while in Fengs case, its a cosplay. Feng is an avid cosplayer and has done all sorts of cosplays in the past and even encouraged her friends to do so.
ACTUALLY, if you look at the details, its amazing. The two outfits are NOT the same; Jills outfit looks like its a real military or special forces outfit, with usable AND well-used pouches, clips and whatnot. Fengs outfit looks like a well made costume. The pouches all look a bit inflated like they are only there for show and there has never been anything stored in them, just like real costum accessory look and behave. They even look artificially aged, drybrushing the edges with some light white etc. Also the rigging is faux lether and not the real deal. Its a very, very good costume, but you can actually see that she is just cosplaying the part, and thats some amazing attention to detail from BHVRs part.

Wdym, this chapter is amazing! It's 10000x better than the first Resident Evil Chapter.
New Jill looks nice, Rebecca is cute, Ada looks like she has some business at the club and Wesker's is seggsy af. The killer is fun to play against and Wiretap is incredibly fun to run. RPD isn't as bad as it was before so that's amazing. Feng Min and Felix got new skins, and they look adorable. The Mettle of Man nerf got reverted and last but not least, they actually reduced the grind this time.

Maybe we could give him a sword? That would be dope, wouldn't it?
0 -
Wait wait wait...did you just say Nemis Zombie pressure Survivors?! That's really funny those lumps of flesh are only useful on indoor maps and even then they are no real threat.
Me I love walking my Zombie around the map they are so cute I would put a cute little ribbon in their hair

I read those and wanted to laugh any Killer would be worse than Nurse if the had a combo of any of those "requirements"

I'll never understand why people (aka Op) want the 'iconic' rocket launcher so badly.
He uses it for a single minute long chase scene. How is that 'iconic'? His flamethrower should take that role if anything, as its used in a *lengthy* chase scene *and* a boss fight.
His main weapon outside of these two sequences? His fists and his tentacle. Exactly what he uses in DbD.

I'm not trying to start trouble, just wondering if the forums are bugged.
I wrote out a semi-long response, because I wanted to be honest an open about communication, but my post seems to have been deleted?
It doesn't say it was removed, etc...it's just gone.

Then don't play dbd.
Or maybe if you are so hardcore: just play RE.

SHIRTLESS WESKER!

Some people just want THEIR version of a licensed character and won't be satisfied with anything else.
And they forget that bhvr needs to ask the license holders if they are fine with what they are doing.
4 -
He doesnt have a unique terror radius or even a new voice, he just reuses frank's so i dont think even hunk is worth it
0 -
That's not special as the skins could've just been released whenever.
0 -
I say they were an insult because of Chris specifically. Chris was already butchered since they chose a non canon version as the base Chris and then Felix gets the outfit that Chris should've gotten but guess who doesn't get it? Chris. At least Jill got hers.

Sounds pretty badass.

This post's OP is just salt posting.
There are plenty of posts going over it in constructive detail. I even made one myself. Essentially, his power should have a 30/35cm detection on survivors so that he stops phasing through people. He could also do with his charge and recharge times being reduced to allow him to be in his power more often. This is because the counterplay to his power is extremely powerful (just going behind a tree or any kind of object), and so he should be allowed to use it more smoothly and more often.
Here are some links to forum posts discussing this which are actually helpful. A lot of the most helpful feedback takes place in the comments:
I must admit, I do myself find it frustrating that important forum members from bhvr such as yourself mostly reply to posts such as the current thread's blatant salty nature (as is obvious by the use of the word "pathetic"), yet very VERY rarely comment on actually constructive pieces of feedback. I think this does nothing but perpetuate a sort of toxic relationship with your own playerbase. Rather than only replying to posts of praise, posts in which people are misinformed about the topic they're sharing an opinion on, and posts of salt, you should also consider replying to middle-ground posts of genuine constructive criticism. For example, moderators will often not reply to posts of good reason, yet will then reply to comments following it in which the commenter is confused about what is actually being discussed. A more specific example would be discussion of Wesker's hitboxes. In one discussion, some people were pointing out that the object hitbox is much better, but that the survivor hitbox is now too small. These things are both true. Then, another commenter made a poorly informed comment in which they wrongly assumed all of Wesker's power runs on a singular hitbox. The only comment out of all these that was responded to by a member of bhvr was the one from the misinformed person. This is very frustrating to watch, as seeing some feedback being given to those who actually know what they're talking about would be far more productive.
You have to remember, these kind of constructive posts with clear effort put into them only come from a good place. These people (myself included) genuinely want to encourage good change and see the game improve. You should be encouraging these kinds of posts, rather than mostly only replying to these salt posts in order to consolidate an unproductive relationship. I'm sure the community would be overjoyed to see more interaction with constructive posts.
Hopefully you read this, although I sadly doubt it. If you do, have my genuine thanks for all your work, and I hope you take what I have to say into consideration.

Jill's is the RE3R version of the outfit. They don't have the license to RE1 because none of the contents are from that game. But yeah Feng's doesn't bother me too much. At least Jill does have it. In Chris' case, that one is stupid since Chris didn't even get it as well.
0 -
My reasons for saying it's bad is different than these. As for Jill, that has nothing to do with this chapter. That's just fixing mistakes from the first so it just makes the first better. It's in some ways better than the original but in many ways, worse.
0 -
They've body blocked me as Nemesis more than help me honestly.
0 -
Not being in it too much doesn't make it not iconic. If it wasn't iconic, then how come it's literally with him everywhere he goes? Toys, statues, games, movies, books, and more. The best scenes in some movies aren't too long.
1 -
Licensed characters should represent that character good enough. If not then answer this, what is the point in using the license then? Other than money of course. "It's a new take on the character." It's just simply not the character. If they wanted to do whatever power Wesker has, it simply should've been an original character and same goes for Nemesis. what they did to these 2 characters is like giving Jason a throwable axe. He's done it but is that what he should have in a game where they limit it? They can do that if he has his own game of course because the entire game is built around him. That's not the case with DBD so they should grab the most iconic abilities and put those center stage.
2 -
I don't necesarily think the chapter is bad, but the Feng and Felix skins are what bugs me the most, the Felix one is mislabelled and it should be BSAA not STARS. and i 100% agree we should have gotten it for Chris.

People are allowed to push back against stuff like the RE Netflix crap but not this which has very similar issues? That doesn't make any sense.
1 -
I don't think you even understand why I don't like it. These other posts aren't substitutes because they are completely different issues.
0 -
Yea thier AI and Pathfinding need a serious upgrade before I will consider them a actual threat
0 -
I bought everything!🤭 My only problem is Wesker not hitting survivors when using his power!😭
0 -
These are completely different scenarios.
But I won't discuss with you further, because I see the same stubbornness and narrow mindedness in you that I had to deal with talking with many Tolkien purists 10 years ago. No thank you.

Sure. bye then.
