Beetlejuice... Beetlejuice... Beetlejuice
Ive been playing the game for a short period and believe somewhere within the game beetlejuice could be a good fit, i belive as a killer, because this would then allow them to bring in Adam and Barbara (The original house owners) or members of the deetz family (the new house owners) as survivors with their own perks.
i feel beetlejuice would have some sort of comical perk (i know this is a horror game but its fitting for the character).
The map could be the model town you see near the start with the graveyard and the adult club, And/or something to do with the underworld…
There would be plenty of customizations you could add, such as beetlejuices many outfits and disguises, adam and barbaras scary faces, lydias black outfit and the wedding outfit, maybe even a face with the prawn cocktails hands stuck to them.
It would be incredible to see these or even a character from beetlejuice!

I think Beetlejuice is absolutely horror adjacent enough to fit in DbD. (strangely, I'm not sure how to decide where the line is with spooky themed comedies. I am personally in favor of Scooby-Doo, especially if BHVR made their own versions of the characters, but the Addams Family feels like a completely wrong fit for some reason. regardless, I think beetlejuice passes the vibe check)
Betelgeuse as a Killer I think could be justified, if the nasty parts of his personality are leaned into. From what I understand about the character he is willing to kill people to get what he wants. And a "joke" Killer with an unpredictable, fun first power, in a similar manner to what Nic Cage was for Survivors, could be really cool. For a Survivor, surely it has to be Lydia, right?
So yeah, I can see the potential. Personally, Beetlejuice doesn't really do it for me, I just don't care for it very much. I don't think that reflects the general public though, so I'd be interested to see how many people would like it, I'm not very enthused but I know Beetlejuice has its fans.

Hmmm... I'm a huge Beetlejuice fan, watched the TV show and everything, and can probably recite most of Beetlejuice's lines from memory.
Ironically your big problem is he would have an insane scope for his power, as he can shape-shift, teleport, manipulate the people/world around him as he pleases... trying to nail him down to set of rules is pretty hard.
Theme-wise this is a problem too, because designing a thematically appropriate counter to Beetlejuice is quite tricky (saying his name 3 times obviously isn't gonna cut it 😅)
The main thing of course that sells Beetlejuice is of course his sleezy car salesmen visage and chatter... he'd need a fair few voice lines... and you definitely want Michael Keaton himself doing it.
However assuming you can get around all his issues... Beetlejuice unrestrained could well be a pretty badass and nasty killer... you'd just have to walk a fine line between being funny, and being actually scary… maybe even breaking the forth wall.
You'd definitely need to do some work to focus more on his nasty streak under the Entity... otherwise it'd be pretty hard to imagine him mori'ing Lydia🤔
I would have to insist though that if you look at him in the store he would have to say "Hey look! We even shop at the same store! We're sympatico! Come on! What I gotta do to cut a deal here!?"
