Map offerings RUINED. Tunneling NOT FIXED.
DEVS, WE NEED TO CHAT.
If I burn an offering for RPD, Midwitch, Labaratory, or any other offering that has one map on it, I''m given a 20% chance at getting that map now yeah? I have no problem with that, it is all well and good, and its also great work by the devs in making those offerings work fairly for all players. ive noticed everyone burns lab tokens, now its not always the lab, its been great.
However, lets talk about offerings with multiple maps, such as ichorous loam.
Burning this offering gives me a chance at Garden of Joy, Greenville Square, Freddy Fazbears, and now The Fallen Refuge - which currently has an achievement associated with a generator on the new TWD map in particular.
Before changing the map offering chance percentage, there would have already been a filthy 25% chance at getting the fallen refuge map.
Now that youve added a 20% chance at getting ANY withered isle map with that offering, youve basically lowered my chances of getting the fallen refuge map by '25% divided by 20%'. For the devs who didn't pass math class?;
YOU JUST GAVE US A 1.5% CHANCE AT THE NEW MAP EVEN WITH THE OFFERING.
25% divided by 20% is 1.5%. YOUVE ABSOLUTELY WRECKED ANY OFFERING THAT OFFERS MULTIPLE MAPS.
I have burned OVER 100 ichorus loam offerings, and played for over 25 hours on xbox, and got fallen refuge ONCE in theose 3x8ish hour sittings. I then get the achievement and move to DBD for windows, where im now encountering the same problem. I've burned another 100 offerings for the new map, only I havn't even got it once, and let me assure you, IM RUNNIG OUT OF TOKENS< WITH EVERY SINGLE SURVIVOR AT TIER 3??? FOR ONE DAMN MAP?
Achievments so far:
DBD for windows (through xbox app): 259/275 achievements
DBD on Xbox: 270/275 achievements.
Listen up devs, and listen good. as a survivor main, I know for a fact that we have all asked you to fix tunneling. you've added the mend bar, the camping free unhooks, and yet all it would've taken is 15 seconds invisibility for unhooked and un-hooking survivors to get away from the hook and hide. (yeah im talking the same invisibility you get with Vecna's eye or hand, cant remember which does which).
Instead, you give us new map offering rules that completely and utterly (poo emoji) on players who have been around for YEARS.
We should NOT have to play for 50+ hours for a simple generator achievment, and to be frank, if it doesnt change, you will have 100% lost a player on multiple platforms. I just quit three games in a row JUST because you didnt give me the new map 103 times, think about that while you think about fixing the offerings and re-imbursing my wasted 200 Ichorous loam tokens ya filthy animals.

P.S. I didnt even consider the % chance at escaping the trial, but now I will, because even with a 50% escape rate, you throw that onto the 1.5% chance at getting the fallen refuge, and youre looking at less than 0.75% chance at getting the map AND escaping.
So, If youre not going to change the map tokens back to the way they were for multi-map realms, then you need to stop adding map/generator specific achievements completely, because its wildly unfair on the people who have put in thousands of hours finishing the game, to have to come back and spend longer than a few hours finishing new achievements as easy as 'complete the generator in the fallen refuge and escape'Post edited by Deathwish4231 on-6 -
If it helps your can simply pretend like you have the achievement. It has the exact same effect as actually having it.

20% chance a realm is picked. 4 maps in that realm. 5% chance, not 1.5%.
Admittedly most of my games go pretty bad, and every one of these times we've actually gotten Fallen Refuge, someone is getting tunneled out, so kiss the chance of getting the achievement goodbye regardless!

Ohyakno, I have 100%d about 80 games, it does NOT have the same effect.
Yamamura, there WAS a 25% chance of getting Fallen Refuge when the offerings 100% gave us that REALM. Now that there is a 20% chance at getting that REALM, AND the further 25% chance at getting that MAP. The % chance at getting the Fallen Refuge MAP goes down to 1.5%.
25% (chance at map) divided by 20% (chance at realm) = 1.5%.and just incase you didnt notice, I said I had burned near 200 offerings over 2 devices, and Ive gotten the map twice. I'd say its tried and tested to be a whole lot closer to 1% than your '5%', or I wouldve had it 10 times over five days and 200 tokens. i got it twice, not even close to ten times. its really, really simple math bud

To be fair, while I understand the point of frustration, I don't really see what's actionable about it.
How do the devs fix this? Adding an individual map offering for each map instead of realm would bloat the bloodweb obscenely, and raising the chance for going to a specific realm only really kicks the can down the road + could make map offerings too good again.
Honestly, I'd sooner ask if achievements for specific maps should exist, over talking about the map offerings.

Well Jester, the obvious fix would be to revert to the original way the offerings worked for any of them that contain multiple maps like ichorous loam and Mcmillians, while keeping the 20% chance on single-map offerings like RPD, Midwitch, haddonfield etc, to make every single token around about a 20% chance at getting ANY specific map, not 20% for the ones everyone complains about and 1% for the ones NOBODY EVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT.
Its beyond actionable, in fact I'd go as far as to say it is blatantly obvious to me how to fix the situation, and that it clearly NEEDS to be fixed in the first place. So maybe I should be working there and not whoever decided 1% chance at getting a NEW map was a good idea?-1 -
They are over-nerfed but what else is new in game balance. 20% feels like a joke. I have better odds Kobe-ing than a Map Offering working.

Tunneling does not require fixing because it is not a problem to begin with. The goal of killers is to chase and kill survivors as fast as possible. Get better at the game if you dislike getting tunneled, you'll suddenly enjoy it a lot more.

Map offerings should never be made more powerful than they are. In fact, they really should be removed from the game entirely.
Game balance is infinitely more important than game achievements.

Tunneling is absolutely a problem.
Maybe being a smug killer main you don't see the problem now, but some months or years into the future when the game shuts down, then maybe you'll see the problem….
