Killer: The Doctor

Weapon: Walking Cane / Scalpel
Weapon Type: Melee (Medium Reach)

Power: A Bird’s Loyalty

Power Description

The Doctor is accompanied by a crow familiar that hovers near him. Survivors within the crow’s proximity are automatically attacked once per ability activation. The crow can strike survivors behind pallets, on generators, or inside lockers.
• Duration: 18 seconds
• Cooldown: 25 seconds
• Map Interaction: When idle, the crow perches on a random generator. If a survivor begins repairing it, the Doctor is alerted. Activating A Bird’s Loyalty recalls the crow to him.
• Survivor Counterplay:
• Parry attacks with tools/perks
• Crow attacks are telegraphed (caw + wing flap 0.5s before strike)
• Survivors can distract the crow using seed items scattered around the map

Gameplay Concept:
• Provides pressure and map awareness without requiring constant chase
• Encourages survivors to manage positioning and generator priorities

Secondary Ability: The Potion Maker

The Doctor can throw one of three potions, cycling every 45 seconds. Only one potion is active at a time.

Potion Effects:
1. Plagueheart Brew – Slows survivor movement by 10–15%, slight screen shake for 3–4 seconds

2. The Cure – Turns 1 nearby survivor insane for 4 seconds, forcing them to attack other survivors. If no survivor is nearby, hits them directly.

3. Pestilent Mist – Creates a small green-yellow cloud. Survivors inside are slowed, healing efficiency reduced, and disease token triggered after 3 seconds (vulnerable to heightened damage).

Counterplay / Balance:
• Potion is canceled if Doctor is stunned by pallets or survivor tools
• After potion ends, Doctor returns to crow + cane attacks
• Cooldowns prevent spamming

Visuals & Audio:
• Bubbling vials, sickly green haze, faint plague flies
• Crow caws and flaps wings before attacks

Perk Suggestions
1. Lingering Sickness – Injured survivors leave residual mist for 4/5/6 seconds, slowing others who pass through
2. Unstable Brew – Hitting a survivor with a potion increases their Exposed status for 4/5/6 seconds
3. Alaric’s Insight – When a survivor cleanses a totem or potion effect, Doctor is briefly revealed if within 24/28/32 meters

Lore

Dr. Alaric Voss was a physician obsessed with curing the sick at any cost. When the plague claimed his patients, he began cruel experiments in secret. The Entity transformed him into a harbinger of sickness and control. Now, he stalks survivors with his cane, crow, and poisonous concoctions, punishing those who resist.

Gameplay Summary
• Crow ability: Zone control, map awareness, automatic attacks
• Potion ability: Active crowd control, mind disruption
• Survivor counters: Parry, dodge, seed distraction, moving out of mist
• Balanced for DBD: Cooldowns, telegraphed attacks, skill-based aiming

Original idea, inspired by the clown from DBD and my friend who's a big fan of the plague doctor!

Wont happen due to the license on the SCP franchise. Can't gain rights to something everyone has access to. Not to mention theres so many variations of SCP-049, that it would be difficult to implement anything outside of his SCP:CB version.
