Please revert the colour changes to rarities
We urgently need the established color scheme for rarities back. Not only are the new tiers for Perks, Items, Addons and Offerings much harder to discern (namely the blue and purple rarity), which I can only asume is even harder for those with a visual impairment, they also throw almost 8 years of the community's learned association out of the window:
- With the previously established color scheme it was practically impossible to mix up rarity tiers (You can make a point that the Event rarity could conflict with the yellow rarity but you have gone on record saying that the Event rarity is going to get phased out either way)
- Everyone that has been playing dbd since perk tiers got a consistent color scheme has fixed associations between colours and rarities and they are easy to learn by new players as well
- Switching an existing color to a different rarity causes massive confusion for the existing player base for no added benefit to new players (a descriptor like "uncommon" or "rare" makes it so either scheme is easy to pick up if there is no association FROM THIS GAME yet)
- The worst offenders of this change are BP offerings: the formerly green letter was an offering that was shared among the whole team, the new green letter is a personal BP offering
Only because other game studios in the industry have developed their games with a different scheme in mind does not mean that you have to throw 8 years of history out of the window to force a change like this now. I get that you try to make the upcomming FNAF fans' onboarding as easy as possible but i can asure you that they will not have a problem learning the game with the scheme we all learned (and that has massive amounts of learning ressources already made with it!).
Here's to hoping for a swift rollback, until then I will unfortunately have no other choice than to mod my game accordingly.
With best regards!

I agree, Return our colors!

Upending a colour scheme that has been around for the better part of a decade was a terrible idea. It's needlessly confusing that what we've always called "Green Med-kit", "Yellow Toolbox", etc. are now different colours.
And I really don't believe that such a change makes the onboarding process for new players any easier. I've never once played a new game and thought "Wow this rarity system is super confusing." Literally never. Like the words Common, Uncommon, Rare, etc. are RIGHT there. It wasn't difficult to understand at all.

Just make it an option so if we want the OG colors back we can choose. If you want to keep the leave the option on.

Was hoping that the team would give us some feedback on the topic by now but after playing the PTB, the problem of the new rarity colours became even more obvious.
To a long standing DBD player those rarities don't make sense, when evaluating Springtrap's addons the blue rarity does not compute for me, neither does green being the second most common rarity. Especially the blue rarity means NOTHING, there is no point of reference for me except for the order in your addon loadout (which requires you to have at least one of each addon).
Please revert to the rarity colours we've been gaming with for all those years (or at least give us a toggle option; but really keeping it on the old colours for everyone is better for consistency's sake and applicability of long standing ressources)

Yeah I haven't played for quite a while and now coming back I hate the new colors. There was just no reason to change the colors, change the rarity tiers of some items absolutely, but man I HATE the new colors for some reason.
And from what I can tell it seems most people do not like the new colors much, finally, something to unite Killer and Survivor mains.

They need to revert the new scheme, or add a switch to it. There has been reports as well of people being colourblind and struggling to see their items/perks. Secondly, it doesn't feel the same either. I've always used to yellow being uncommon and green for rare. But now since it's changed, it adds some confusion. Not only to myself, but probably to other new players if they decide to watch old DBD tips and maybe the old veterans who decide to return.

At the very least, I find the new shade of blue nice. So is the green. Was the green always that way, or is it a little deeper now?

Yet another problem created by BHVR changing stuff that is not broken.
