Please stop removing perks working with powers.
One of the best factors dbd has going for it is at risk with that spirit fury nerf. Please stop rewording perks to exclude powers, believe it or not that honestly makes perk design even MORE boring and harder having things not interact with powers at all. Let build variety EXIST. Or else killers are generally going to only run slow down and 1 or 2 perks that are only good for the killer they play.

What makes it hard when perks / powers interact, is that it limits both perk and powers in the design process - we'd have to imagine every perk working with every power to ensure it was still at a playable state, and that's a lot of perks that have to work with killer powers - this is also not something new, we've seen it with Bamboozle and Legion for example, where the window block does not work with that part of the perk when Legion is vaulting in power.

Tbh, all the Legions with iri button, endfury and bamboozle make the game as boring as possible.

see this is funny to me, because instead of just changing the handful of outliers that are causing problems (everyone know's it's blight) you take the absolute laziest route possible then try to justify it.
but regardless, who cares, survivors get to abuse the living daylights out of crap like this all the time and many of their broken "should not work here but does" crap like powerstruggle being able to feed off perks that boost recovery time allowing for infintite second chances so long as pallets are left.
this is literally nitpicking to appease a overly vocal and frankly very very entitled minority who are whining that a C tier at best perk is screwing over their bullcrap.
either be consistent and start ripping up the nonsense all around, or realize that not everything like this needs to be gutted to appease entitled streamers and the higherups who have repeatedly had issues, it's hypocritical at best and at worst just deeply frustrating and hilariously out of touch

Other killer powers can cause a perk to be nerfed Its not just blight or top tiers.
Main one I think of is Singularity and Haywire, only reason that perk was seemly nerfed so much is because Singularity could hold the exit gates with multiple bio pods and make the gates basically impossible to open combined with remember me.7 -
they can but, to me? this is 100% in the category of blight did something Bs so now all the mid tier killers suffer for it.

Call me crazy, but that might be a sign that it's time to go back to the drawing board with how many perks and powers are released at a time.

Thanks for giving people less perk variety.

Differentiating between power and normal hits makes sense. Differentiating between power vaults and normal ones as well, but between how you break pallets is just unnecessary and complicates things that aren‘t that deep. It only nerfs perks that were already mediocre like Spirit fury and alert. Why does it all of a sudden matter how the pallet was broken ?

to be fair to BHVR in this regard, Im getting kinda tired of Bubbas who play Surge.
What you guys COULD do as well is make addons for Killers which makes power-attacks count as Basic-attack?
Is this something worth implementing??-3 -
I don’t think reducing the amount of perks people want to use is a good idea either, it’ll result in one build being the only build you should use and limits perks even more, like I can genuinely see older perks getting powercrept due to the limitations put on them

id rather they just nerf the outliers than punish everyone for a couple of killers being a pain

I thought it was doing you a favour because all people do is complain that all legions are boring because they run thana and slowdown. make up your mind people Do you hate slowdown or chases?

As a P100 Legion, I don't expect any Legion players to use Spirit Fury after the upcoming change unless they're already running Brutal Strength + Fire Up — and that is a +1 perk investment compared to pre-nerf Spirit Fury with Enduring. Without those two, it'll be dumpster-tier, and therefore barely ever picked, because Legion would waste far too much time on breaking pallets manually.
Idiocy such as this is why we feel forced to go all-in on slowdown. Anything beyond that box almost always equals to a loss.

that'd require them to try legion lol

Legion is just boring by design. It's hard to do anything with them that doesn't suck to play against.

BHVR really should look into Tatariu's suggested rework of Legion. More fun for both sides, imo.

that was the one with the "running while mending" thing right? the thing that would fundamentally mess with every instance of deep wound in the game?

Can always make it a separate debuff. It would just work in the same way as removing Springtrap's axe from your back.

I couldn't agree more. With how many perks became useless almost in the hands of certain killers, while it nerfed what could potentially be quite an oppressive combo for SPECIFIC Killers, it also ruined what I think is the best part about playing killer. The build crafting.
Making any killer majorly strong with a certain build is a huge part of the fun on that side I feel, by changing perks to no longer interact with killer powers makes them redundant & starts blending the meta into the only viable option. Which just sucks to be honest.
I am already so mad that map offerings are basically pointless because I feel as though it's part of a build in some unique cases for both sides (examples being Lery's or any indoor map really for jumpscare Myers, Open maps with plenty of free space for a Drift King Billy type thing, maps with loads of vaults for fast vault builds or maps with plenty of pallets for Spirit Fury hubris builds, the list goes on), if even more stuff gets changed there's basically no point trying to run anything unique on killers anymore, just pick the usual four perks & go get'em. Not a welcome change at all.

In scenario of Legion running up to you so you stay in pallet to get him the hit and not waste the pallet but then you have to stun him because otherwise you go down, stun add on replenishes his power so he vault over and that's endless circle. Worse teammates will just drop the pallet to feed him.

Another example is Krasue where certain perks won't work in head for, there is quite of them. Krasue vault-wise can't utilize any vault perks except for their secondary effects - bamboozle blocked the window but didn't make vault faster, dark arrogance made stuns longer 3s, but didn't make the vaults faster. Now if supperior would work on her head vault we would have her vaults being more busted than on PTB where it was 1.5s, as I think that 2s vaults are too long and should be cut in a little bit I understand that perks working with killer powers might need basekit to be nerfed which would result in killer being clunky to play without them.

Wasn't the root of separating specials from basics the Nurse? Wouldn't such add-ons just undo all of that, with her in particular?
1 -
Well maybe she in particular should not have one of those.
