What did you do to Wesker?
He is considered one of most balanced killers in DBD, I would say also one of most popular on both sides.
And you just have to nerf him so much?
For those who don't know, on PTB:
- input buffering is gone
- rebound is gone (way to position yourself for next dash in loops)
- can't instaflick (there is bigger delay between dashes)
- hill dashes are removed (imagine killer has fun)
I am not even sure, if devs even noticed how big nerf it is and we just see an example of spathetti code. Changed one thing and it screwed the killer so much.

Just had one match and it hurts him dramatically
Most rebound spots that I was able land before no longer work anymore on the ptb, not to mention he feels extremely clunky making it miserable

What, why would they change him? He has zero issues and is well-balanced. Yet Kaneki gets off scot-free?

I read that… 😔 all I've got to say is that if these changes go live I will be bidding DBD adieu. Wesker is the only killer I love and genuinely enjoy playing as and against. Heck I have him as P100. The best thing about 2v8 (for me) was seeing some Wesker gamers again (finally!!) and readying up as Wesker and Nemesis with friends. Instead of going against Kaneki, kaneki, kaneki, Vecna (bless him), kaneki, nurse in 1v4. Which is how most games nowadays look like (on my servers).
So if they're going to gut Wesker, then alright, but I think it's highly time to start speaking in the only language a company understands: money.
I've given this game a lot of my money, but if this is what we're getting patch after patch, then I'm taking my time and money away. Good thing RE 9 is coming out soon.10 -
The thing is they are not exactly nerfing Wesker.
I'm a Wesker and Dracula main, but stopped playing the former because how crappy his grab detection is, not to mention when you throw a surv into something and they just slide into it without getting damaged.
Played, like, 20 matches with him in this PTB so far and ZERO of my grabs had an issue and survs don't slide on stuff anymore.
TL;DR: they are not nerfing him. They are fixing him.-7 -
Thanks for spelling it out, I had no idea why he felt so weird on the ptb.
So it's probably the input buffering gone that let me double check if my mouse is pluged in correctly.
The rebound thing gone seems to be what I started to call "concussion stop" at every wall.
And the flick thing might be responsible for me using my second dash in directions I never intended to go. Pretty sure they patched a bug in there, unless Wesker is supposed to dash 90° sideways...

I guess to clarify, they are nerfing good Weskers who know how to use his power properly, because they can't on PTB anymore.
Rebound is core part of his power, but it is something you need to learn how to use properly.

I literally started learning him again becouse hugtechs got more accessible, and now they do this? If those changes make it to live I will unironically uninstall this game, becouse my god, remind me, why are we going after one of the most beloved and fun on both sides killers in the entire ######### game for the past few years instead of actually doing anything to nurse or blight?

I'll say what another guy said in another thread with other words:
They need to break him in order to fix him. Losing rebound sucks, but in live now he is SO BAD with grab detection failing a lot of times, survs sliding on objects instead of taking damage, Wesker letting go of them as if he reached a hole or elevation in plain terrain…-6 -
The problem I have with this is that most of these things were only possible on pc.

Your issue is there won't by any fixing part in near future. That's kinda how it goes in DBD…
PTB version is without a doubt way worse than what we have live. Bad hit detections sometimes affect me, lack of input buffering and rebound removal will affect me every time.

Input buffering should be console thing too
I don't have console, but rebound is simply movement thing, you don't need to use mouse for it in any way, so it should be possible…Instaflick is probably PC only

I know exactly how you feel. He's also the only killer I really like.

That is a myth. All the techs are also doable on console. Some of them are a bit harder while others are easier.

Wesker had a number of bug fixes on the PTB, that was apart of a full technical refactor for him, unfortunately this changed how some things worked - part of the problem was that initially these things were not intended with the killer, however we do realise that many players have learnt to master those specific "techs" so we're looking at the way they can get implemented properly - we're hoping this can be in time for release of this chapter, that's the aim at least.

At least there is some hope. I would be very sad, if I won't get to play against Weskers anymore. That's one of few killers, where I can respect people who put time into them.

While I'm glad you're going to adjust him, he really didn't need his techs to be removed after being in the game for 4 years from his release in the first place

Thank you for clarification. I'm just wondering why this was not communicated earlier or more clearly to avoid confusion.
Just putting the changes out there (which do look like a drastic unreasonable nerf) without any explanation feels not right.
