Lullaby For The Dark: Flashbacks (A "Comeback" for Lullaby For The Dark + Left Behind)
This is now the FIFTH Comeback Chapter I've made, and I am aware that it's of uhh… older Chapters mainly. I guess the old ones do need a little bit of something. Anyway, I'm tackling Huntress and David, but I'm also including Bill! Why? Idk! I can! There's also a new Survivor that I've added alongside the Chapter!
Red Forest
First up is Mother's Dwelling! Note, I've extensively messed around with the Red Forest Realm as a whole! It's now themed like World War 1, complete with Trenches, barbed wire, destroyed buildings, and guns… very large guns. The Main Cabin is elevated, sitting upon a "no man's land" section, but you can directly enter the new cellar from the trenches! Additionally, Killer Shack and those weird Smoke Towers are also elevated. The main Generator has also moved to this new cellar, because that balcony Gen… eugh. AUgh! Awful to defend!
These changes should hopefully make the map stand out instead of just "flat field with a bunch of tress in it."
Dead Trenches
For a curveball, I've moved Dead Sands over to the Red Forest! The entire map is a level lower, with Killer Shack being the ONLY structure that stands high above the trenchlines. To the left side, there's more mud and broken defenses, but to the right, there is a full on bunker!
The reason I moved Dead Sands over is because the Realm it's in… isn't good. Bhvr said they did it because they wanted to expand the lore of the Realm and nerf the Offering (which is strange). They failed both tasks because it didn't add much to the lore and the Offering was still mighty strong, only being nerfed when ALL the map offerings got nerfed.
Oh, and for anyone who's wondering about Temple of Purgation, I'm moving it to Forsaken Boneyard, so it's gone from this Realm.
The Huntress
And here's Huntress! Embedded Hatchets are a new mechanic and it allows Huntresses to "open their third eye" a bit. They could preplan with Hatchets in places they know is Locker-free, or just hope they get lucky and one spawns there anyway.
The Distance-Based Speed mechanic, however, is something to keep in mind. It basically removes the "zero to death" scenario that occurs if the Huntress hits you with a Hatchet from right behind you. It leads to a situation where the Survivor just doesn't gain enough speed because the cooldown of the Hatchet throw is so much quicker than an M1.
Soldier's Puttee I made basekit for simplicity. No one really runs it anyway, and it seems harmless when made basekit.
The Hitbox Reduction is also pretty important. Since launch, people have been complaining about the hitboxes of the Hatchets. So, this change is for the people! The Horizontal range of the hitbox is reduced. No more is she hauling logs… but firewood instead!
Additionally, because of Distance-Based Speed, it seemed okay to speed her up a bit with Oak Haft. The speed gained from the DBS should overpower this.
Huntress Add-Ons
Nothing too special here besides making all the Add-Ons unique and possibly bring Iri Head back from the dead. No more insta-down, however, it's now a Hell's Retriever! The Elk Skull is much the same. If you're good at Huntress, and I mean GOOD, you're gonna be drowning in value from these Add-Ons.
Huntress Perks
Now for her Perks! Beast of Prey got a nice buff. Bloodlust sticks around a bit after you would normally lose it.
Hex: Huntress' Lullaby, I've talked about before in the Of Flesh and Mud "Comeback" I made. It's now a Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss Perk, as it will not tell Survivors they're Cursed by it! The Survivors just have to figure it out themselves.
Territorial Imperative, I made VERY interesting since it spawns BOTH possible Basement spawns! I've also removed the range limit on it, but it won't function if someone is actively being sent to the Pearly Gates while down there.
David King Perks
Yeah, I killed Dead Hard. Well, killed it, and then revived it. Think of it like using a Defibrillator on it. Dead Hard has notoriously been the bane of Killers for a literal decade now! Note, M1 Killers suffer more, so what better to do than remove most of the restrictions and make it HURT M2s instead? Now, it will function for M1 attacks if it was a Protection Hit because David is like that, and before it got further nerfed, I loved using it to be an absolute Chad.
No Mither was kinda difficult to change. I swapped the values with it and a bunch of Perks, gave it some new effects, and made that Broken Status Effect a reason to be here. Honestly, No Mither is a very good challenge mode!
WGLF was a simple change of adding that last part. You can only give Endurance, not gain it as well. This was merely to prevent real annoying situations with a guy running FTP and Made For This. If I ever do End Transmission, I'll probably figure something out for it or something. Not a clue yet. And I don't wanna hear nothing about slugging. Yeah, I'm talking about YOU >:3
Bill Overbeck Perks
Hey, Bill's here! Borrowed Time has gotten a duration buff and an added secondary effect to increase the Haste if you get smacked while it's active.
Left Behind is larger and better for being the sole guy left in the Trial. It's a niche scenario, so I decided to give it everything it deserved. Stupidly fast Gen repair if you're the last guy alive. Bill did start that Gen pretty fast in The Sacrifice.
Unbreakable, I've nerfed a bit. There is no better Perk for Dying State Recovery than Unbreakable, and I wanted to change that since it's very free. Low risk, low reward. High risk, high reward.
Misc. Perks
Before I get into the new Survivor, here's some misc Perks and why I added them.
Resilience was added due to the injury requirement, and it's usually married with No Mither. I removed only two interactions that it speeds up: Repair Speed and Vault Speed. Good Survivors are very comfy being injured, and especially that former effect is REALLY good to the point of borderline broken. As a bonus, I've added the effects of This Is Not Happening to it. What happened to TINH? Well, it's in a farm upstate. Yeah, I took it out back.
Monstrous Shrine got a very sizeable buff in the form of a range reduction, so it can work, the inability to unhook themselves no matter what (including through Deliverance), and are rescued slower. This should make the "Basement Perk that isn't even good in a Basement Build" better. It's here because of Territorial Imperative. Basements, boyos!
Soul Guard is here because of No Mither and Unbreakable. It's now longer Endurance and a bonus to Recovery Speed!
Pyotr Koval
Here is the new Survivor!
Pyotr Koval Perks
Before you comment, yeah, I know they're not strong. I wasn't going for meta-defining, I was going for themes.
War Horse is a chase Perk through and through to the point it hurts Repair and Heal. You do, however, have the choice to either play into it or try to minimize the downsides. Prove Thyself, Deja Vu, Botany Knowledge, and We'll Make It can be used to try and limit the downsides, or you could run Autodidact and Potential Energy to play into its downsides and make it an upside.
Charge The Front is a riskier version of Rick's Perk Come And Get Me! While CAGM doesn't apply Elusive, lasts for half the time, and only has 5 seconds of Aura reveal, Charge The Front throws caution to the wind! Elusive on your buddies, you become Exhausted, and your Aura is not only revealed, but that thing is near BROADCASTED to the Killer! You are left as a sitting duck by design. You called for this, you're getting the attention and what you wanted.
Standoff is much the same. You're taking the risk of capturing the Killer's attention in a very unavoidable way. You're probably not gonna be able to do this mid-chase, so it might just be a very good anti-tunnel Perk where you FORCE the Killer to look at you instead.
Pyotr Koval Voice Lines
As a way to get you to understand who Pyotr is besides a Jolly Cossack, here are some voicelines. He does have many with The Huntress, he did almost kill her, after all. He's still waiting for that rematch too.
End
Pretty loaded this time around, but that was because I had a lot of ideas! I added Pyotr because Lullaby For The Dark was added as a "Thank you" from Bhvr to the community, so I wanted to continue that feeling of thanks with a FREE Survivor, just like how the original Chapter was free.
Anyway, comment your feelings, and whatever you want next.
However, I have to mention, not every single Chapter deserves a Comeback. Some of them are pretty structurally sound, of course, minus a few errors, but I mainly do these if a Chapter is in enough disrepair. Lullaby For The Dark, despite having a Killer who could use minor things and an Add-On pass over, the rest of it was very messy. Huntress' Perks are not great, Dead Hard and No Mither are two sides of the same "unbalanced" coin, and Red Forest is just HORRIBLE! I added Bill because he was released fairly close to the original Chapter and besides Unbreakable, his other Perks aren't great, with one being kicked to the curb and one that's been on the curb for years.

I appreciate the frankly lunatic amount of effort you've put into this, but you've overall nerfed huntress. I'll have to look at the add-ons more closely. And the rest of the post. This is just a knee jerk reaction post

Genuine Insanity is what I'm good at producing! Game would be too bland without it!

The Elk Head add on is lowkey insane for good huntress players. Wow. what an insane amount of effort put here! with a bit on insanity here and there. but this is great!
