Stopped having it for a few weeks, and tonight? 4/6 games randomly end because of this. Come the ######### on, BHVR.
-
I would argue that it is a bug because there's a specific animation and survivor yell that plays for missing a healing skill check, but it's not a missed skill check and no loud noise notification is generated. But it's been in the game for over two years now, since the change to the Hemorrhage status effect, and I know…
-
I assume that the delay that causes the half second or so of aura read is due to latency, but still, it shouldn't be revealing their aura at all, even for a short time, and reading their aura, even when they're in plain view, should activate Distortion.
-
This is still intermittently happening for me, though since the Drac patch, much less frequently. The last two times it happened in the last couple days were both while hooking a survivor. Once on Spirit as the last hook doing the orange glyph challenge, which was especially annoying, and once on Singularity as just as a…

Here's another example of it. https://x.com/alranican/status/1830650437936247094

https://x.com/TrustInGodly/status/1825191739419664756 Another example. It's done by colliding with the corner of a window/vault.
-
Still waiting for a response. And I really like the idea of seeing two 100+ post threads about this issue going back over a year on the front page.
-
Still happening. Any time a dev feels like responding, it's past due. And I've posted a half dozen logs with zero response, so I'm not keen on posting more.
-
This is happening in the opposite direction too. I was just letting them finish because two people DCed right away, and they had to do 6 gens. There's only two unfinished left. Wasn't fast enough to load up OBS to go on a tour of the five finished gens, though their lights could all be seen from the middle.
-
You can see from the clip that they don't have Dead Hard, so that ain't it.
-
I should note that it hasn't necessarily stopped happening for me. I've just stopped playing since the anniversary. And zero dev response to the dozens of logs posted in this thread for months after asking for that to be done.
-
Fix the damn servers.
-
Was in the game for maybe 20 seconds and then it DCed me. Just absolutely amazing.
-
Another day, another inexplicable "dedicated server not responding".
-
I'll be happy to bump this once a day, each time that I see this error. Which once again, I saw two more times today. Getting really incredibly truly tired of this crap, which I do not see in literally any other game, or even DBD until a few months ago.
-
No. You're not. BHVR is just refusing to do anything about it. There are threads about this practically daily.
-
There are reports about this almost every single page going back dozens. Fix the issue, or at least provide a more useful error message. Your servers arbitrarily kicking people out of games and then slapping them with disconnect penalties, if AND ONLY IF they were playing survivor at the time, is just goddamned astonishing…
-
Any time that somebody on the dev team would like to look at this, it's six plus months overdue. And after being kicked by your garbage netcode three games in a row, including one where it loaded in and every single player had a red ping and two DCed within 5 seconds before I also got "Dedicated Server not responding",…
-
How is this not even Acknowledged? There are THREE bugs with Blight breaking pallets with his power right now. 1.) There's supposed to be a half second swing when he breaks pallets that is missing, making pallet breaking faster. 2.) He's supposed to stagger (not be able to move) after breaking a pallet with his power, but…
-
This bug is both easy to perform, well publicized by your own paid employees, and provides a massive advantage. Why is Blight not killswitched?
-
If you watch literally any tournament, Pain Res is used with tunnelling to completely stop gens after one person is dead. Virtually all regression perks do, but most you can pull the killer away via chase. Not so with Pain Res. It's easy, works across the map, and barring terrible RNG, even stronger with fewer people. If…
-
It's really, truly not surprising at all to see one of BHVR's paid consultants intentionally abusing an exploit in multiple live games in a row, and then bleeding out people who don't want to play against him doing so. For reference. Please, BHVR. Explain what part of this is okay for someone you are paying. The griefing?…
-
Decisive Strike's timer also appears to be active after a Conspicuous Action. How is just changing a 5 to 4 causing so many bugs?
-
If you self-unhooked, it's a known exploit that BHVR hasn't fixed for months.
-
Calm addons with Distressing. Queen addon.
-
From like the first month of the game, the killer meta has always been the best perks to win the game, while the survivor meta has been perks to specifically counter camping/tunnelling, even when gen speeds were faster and gen speed perks were stronger. The two sides use perks for fundamentally different things, and both…
-
Confirmed it myself in a custom game as well. This is pretty damn severe. Moris need to be killswitched immediately.
-
This is a bug that happens when healing someone who's in the dying state, and occurs on all maps. It can be used to get OOB and hold the game hostage.
-
The last time they touched gens in general, they buffed virtually all regression by making kicks take off more, and removing gen tapping, while only nerfing people aggressively holding a 3-gen from the start. And the result was that regression perk usage went way up, and tunnelling went off the charts. So what exactly is…
-
The last time they touched gens, survivors got them removing Chess Merchant games, while killers got baseline kicking buffs and removal of gen tapping. The result was that regression perks became even more oppressive, people began running them even more, and tunnelling got so bad that they needed to massively buff a…
-
Since late July of last year, BHVR has only touched 5 survivor perks in any way. Five. October 10th - Background Player buffed. November 28th - Made For This nuked. January 30th - Quick Gambit was reworked. (lol) April 23rd - Decisive Strike buffed and Adrenaline nerfed There are killer add-ons that have gotten more…
-
I mean, it's the exact same as the black bubble, and blast mine. For their entire existence, they worked one way. You could see auras through the bubble. Blast mine was refunded if not kicked. Then, out of the blue, years after the fact, they decided it was a bug. Hell, the bubble was an acknowledged bug for 10 months…

It's been happening to me consistently ever since the Alan Wake patch, but BHVR keeps closing these threads and saying "sounds like you're having network issues." The only thing I can add is that I was playing with a streamer in the lobby once when I got the "dedicated server not responding" message, but despite two of us…
-
They have been addressing survivor 'techs', at about the same rate as looking at killer 'techs,' which is to say about one thing a year. Recently, they removed being able to cancel drop-down stagger by vaulting. They also removed locker saves. The devs are being unresponsive and crappy to both sides in such overwhelming…
-
That would be work too. People have provided a lot of examples in this thread of both mechanics disabling powers already in the game (so it can be done), and ways to implement this mechanic. But what we've not seen at all is an acknowledgement that the devs do actually see this disparity between how much killers are…
-
######### seriously. This is not novel code. The Blight Serum add-on already disables a killer's M2 while it's active. Twins (until this upcoming patch) and Artist have their M2 disabled while near hooks. Disabling a killer's M2 is already a thing that exists in game. Nobody was ever talking about disabling all traps…
-
Just to clarify, the error being reported by the game is incorrect. Your client is disconnecting. This has happened to me a bunch too, and one time was with a streamer in the lobby. The dedicated server was 'fine' and the game continued as normal, aside from suddenly spiking red for everybody in the lobby and two people…
-
Twice in a row this afternoon again. The one time I was playing with someone streaming, every person in the lobby's ping suddenly went red and two people dropped within 5 seconds of each other, but I got the "Dedicated server not responding" message, which is clearly completely incorrect because the server was still up and…
-
Two out of three matches had dedicated server not responding tonight. This is at least the fifth one of these threads that I have personally remarked on this. Ever since the Alan Wake patch, servers have been horrific. No rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes survivor, sometimes killer. Sometimes a penalty for supposedly DCing,…
-
They'll just close this with a link to their technical help page as they have every single other thread about their servers crashing or being down since the Alan Wake patch. Like, come on here, BHVR. Something has been completely broken on your servers since this patch and gaslighting people about it isn't the way.
-
Two out of three tonight, and DC penalties back in full force. Both times it crashed were mid-hook. This is getting incredibly old.
-
It would be helpful if BHVR could provide what exactly we could give them to actually report/diagnose this. Since the Alan Wake patch, I've had dedicated server crashes somewhere between 33-50% of my games. Steam. West coast. 6-9pm. I've mostly been playing killer, Wraith, Slinger, Dredge, Hag, and seen crashes on all of…
-
Crashed three games in a row for me. One time while I was goddamned closing the hatch. BHVR is going to close this again with "Sounds like you're having technical difficulties. Here's a link to a page that contains zero references to the error you are experiencing and offers no solution or help." Please show me where on…
-
I mean, they gave multiple major baseline buffs to regression, a ridiculously powerful new (effectively) gen stall perk that cannot be played around and synergizes with every other regression perk AND both camping/tunnelling, and the 'nerf' that's supposed to make things less miserable is supposed to affect less than 1% of…
-
+1 The server has crashed in 4/10 games over the last two days. This would be unacceptable on its own, but being hit with penalties because BHVR's own servers keep ######### themselves is insulting.
-
If the goal is that the limit on regression events is supposed to affect only a tiny percentage of games, then why is regression getting such a significant overall buff, both in kicking and in removing gen tapping? Those changes affect essentially 100% of games. Are devs seeing regression right now as too weak? Seriously?
-
Let's not even look at DMS. Let's just look at Grim Embrace on its own. Pain Res works with it, and forces someone off the gen, and then blocks it before they can stop the regression due to gen tapping being removed Pop works with it with zero issues. It is strong as ######### for camping because it is a free 36 seconds of…
-
Did you seriously put a majorly bugged perk in the Shrine this week? Is this not going to cause an uptick in its usage and therefore by the stated logic, mean that it needs to be killswitched? You could save yourself the next week of closing duplicate reports about this after... over a month of doing it... by just…
-
Survivors ARE punished as ######### for 'forcing their objective' by getting ######### BP and depipping in those games. Which is also what they get when killers hard tunnel one out immediately. Killers are 'punished' by people calling them dicks and hurting their feelings. That you see these things as equivalent should…
