I'm not quite understanding what you mean by "us vs. them"... I play survivor and killer pretty much evenly (as it gets boring playing just one or the other for too long). Also, maybe you haven't read the entire thread, but there are several comments with the same refrain of "4k's shouldn't be happening" which is why I was…

Who said anything about 4k? Hahahaha... it's so easy to trigger people. It's a horror game with nods to horror films. In those films, the smartest and most clever person escapes, usually everyone else dies. Getting 4k is nice, but that shouldn't be expected either. What should be an anomaly is all 4 survivors escaping...…

Nope. Cuz then the title would be "Maybe Dead, Maybe Alive By Daylight", not "Dead By Daylight". Mic stays on the floor.
-
I play both evenly.
-
So the title of the game is accurate and well chosen, then. And 40% is pretty good. That means in any given match one to two survivors out of four actually escape. Feel proud when you do.

Look down at an angle, then follow their flashlight and smash the punks. Get into the habit. As soon as a flashy troll shines their crutch, look down (no need to look directly down) then give em a kiss with your weapon. They usually stand there like goofballs trying to figure out why they aren't blinding you and leave…

A killer who face camps is either bad at the game and wants to make sure the survivor who keeps beating him at a chase dies, isn't efficient and isn't playing to win, is a troll, or you were toxic and taunted him (being obnoxious with a flashlight or teabagging after dropping a pallet) and his win condition became killing…

Can you define "tunneling" in the context of your comment? Because to me, tunneling is chasing after only one survivor the whole game. If you define it as continuing a chase with one survivor for a lengthy period of time to get them on a hook... but then moving on once they're on the hook, I don't consider that tunneling.…

I'm playing more survivor than killer these days, probably at a 45/55 split. I prefer playing killer because I play solo and, admittedly, I enjoy it more because I find it way more challenging than survivor, especially after the HUD update. It way more tense to me because now gen rushing is a constant, not just something…
-
Whether they camp or tunnel is irrelevant, I think it'd be cool for the sole survivor to get the chance to faux kill the killer and escape like most horror movies.
-
I'm having trouble with the 'rank 1' claim. And I think that the 20 escape streak is an exaggeration, but speaking for myself, since the HUD changes came in, I fear nothing and have escaped at least 4 out of 5 times... mostly with all other survivors too. So, there's no denying that the HUD really took the challenge out of…
-
I'll say this. I'm still doing pretty decent with my killers, though the there is no doubt at all that the HUD additions have made solo survivor cake as I've escaped almost every single time since they were implemented, usually will all 3 other teammates as well. On the killer side, it's basically meant that some killers…
-
That's camping, dude. Not tunnelling. Yeah, it's annoying as hell when you get one of those... but blame your teammates for not unhooking you. Good teammates know how to unhook someone in that situation. Bad ones let them die. There's a way around every toxic gameplay style in this game. I was left on a hook until the…

Or they erect a gigantic effigy of a survivor that teabags the killer to death.
-
No way would I suggest this would be available to all 4. I'm proposing it for the last survivor alive as a more challenging/difficult option than just jumping through the hatch. The other 3 would be dead so it's not a team effort.
-
I think it would be really cool if they had "cutthroat" objectives other than opening the hatch with the key. Like objectives where a survivor not just passively plays for their own wellbeing, but actively, in a way where they can actually win by screwing over their teammates. That would make it really interesting. But…

On the contrary, tunneling is a guaranteed way to lose "against survivors who have any skill". If you run into a killer who tunnels, not because they are just repaying toxicity with toxicity, but as an actual strategy, then they are usually low skill killers... which means that you get your best runner and loop him and…

It boggles my mind how much I see people complain (both survivor and killer mains) in this forum because they're finding the game too hard. The challenge is what makes it fun and rewarding. Please stop trying to water everything down and just get better at the game. Accept your losses and celebrate your victories. If you…

I'm in Europe. So my evenings are afternoons in America.
-
Well, I'm glad that Behavior isn't going to pay attention to you because they know as well as I do, making the changes you suggest would make the game boring for both survivors who want a proper challenge (which has already been somewhat diminished with the HUD) and for killers who won't ever be able to win a match because…
-
Obviously, the greater challenge should be on the side of the survivors... it's a horror game. Killers are supposed to be dangerous, escape should be difficult. What do you expect?! The title of the game is 'DEAD by Daylight', not 'ALIVE by Daylight'. Death is the constant threat?! There are 4 survivors vs. 1 killer. A 61%…

Played 4 solo survivor games last night and 1 killer game. I waited to find a game for at least 5 minutes for each of the solo survivor games. I waited 5 seconds to find one for the killer game. Does that mean more people were queuing for survivor than killer in that 2.5 hour period? I'm not sure.
-
Still deliberating. I played 4 solo survivors matches last night and only escaped once. The other three teams we faced Ghostface twice and Oni once. Props to the killers, but my team (including myself) was disorganized and all over the place so we lost horrifically. Playing solo survivor, I hate to admit it, it makes my…
-
No. When I play killer, the only time I tunnel is when I encounter a teabagging tryhard who thinks they are a clever "runner/looper" for their team. Teabag me after a failed pallet stun or a clean vault? Tunnel until death. Taunt me with the flashlight? Tunnel until death. I no longer care about the other 3 survivors until…
-
You're obviously new at the game. Keep playing it and you'll get better and realize that a team of good survivors is way more overpowered than a good killer. But it sounds like you haven't figured out the optimal times to use a medkit or how to use perks. BTW, if you prestige every survivor before focusing on one, all…
-
Depends on who plays them, I suppose. When I play killer, Legion is my worst, I rarely if ever kill all 4 survivors with him. The only reason I use him is because the Frenzy perk is so fun to use and I know it frustrates the hell out of survivors if you string attacks together on all 4 survivors. Hahaha. But in the end,…
-
I'm deaf in one ear as well and it's hard to pick up on audio cues as a killer. I manage, but I totally get your point.
-
There is literally a perk for campers called Insidious. It's a feature not a bug. Good survivors know how to counter campers. There's nothing canonically that says tunnelling should not be done. Ever watched a horror film? They usually tunnel their victims until they catch them and kill them. Not gonna lie, as a noob…
-
Also wanted to add. For some reason, as a survivor on console, even hitting all of the great skill checks for wiggle doesn't seem to have an effect on the killer marching me to a hook. But when playing a killer on maps where there are lots of obstacles and doorways, holy crap, I get pulled all over the place! I dropped…
-
Update: played both killer (one I'm not yet proficient with) and solo survivor last night pretty much 50/50. My takes: Survivor: I can't say I don't like the new HUD as a solo survivor. Obviously it makes the game way easier and did what I expected it to do, pretty much exactly. I ended up, escaping 3 times and getting…

No doubt. But my gripe from a solo survivor perspective is it takes the suspense of best guessing what to do next out of it. So, it sort of makes the game less fun for me on that end. From a killer perspective, it means I've just become a chess piece on a completely transparent board game where everyone can see everyone's…
-
That would be cool. But my experience with DBD and DC's by malcontents tells me that lobbies of connected players will never get a killer... and I personally wouldn't want to take that away from them. The mic'ed up survivors literally get their enjoyment out of destroying the killer, this would ruin their fun (I say this…
-
It's a pain in the ass. But usually I just end up slugging the ones that fling me around and going after the others... unless there's a hook right in front of me. Kinda tell myself this one is going to escape anyway, but I'll at least take them out of a large portion of the game as punishment. Had one like that last night.…
