It was a joke to illustrate that the post is just as "out there". They're both pertaining to completing objectives. The circumstance you use doesn't happen every time, and doesn't happen to every survivor, nor every game. That circumstance could be given a killer spin too, "Killing the survivors is the objective, not…

Casuals won't get high enough in MMR to face challenging blights, so why would this be a concern?
-
There are good console blights.
-
Counting the 3k would skew statistics, too, because the game is balanced for 4v1.
-
The stats are useless no matter how you look at them because we can't see how they collected the data, what populations were used, or anything like that. For all we know kill rates went up solely because they disabled DS after exit gates were powered.
-
Let me put a killer spin on that: "Its clear that finishing gens will always be an issue, yes its a "strategy" but it becomes obnoxious when 9/10 games that's all you ever see."
-
Some killers are probably reeling from the idea of having to wait for potential changes when the last time killers waited for changes, it took something like 2-3 years. Also, just because they're probable does not mean they are guaranteed. Consider grabs, they have never been fixed and those broke over 4 years ago.
-
I don't know. I still think kill rate increases were due to the disabling of certain perks during EGC after exit gates are powered. Well, then again this will tell us one way or the other, if kill rates do change.
-
It was QoL and a buff. I don't need to run perks like kindred or empathy really anymore to keep an idea of certain things going on. Knowing when the killer is in a chase is often times enough to guide a lot of decision making. But, to know WHO they're in a chase with and there's little to no worry. As killer, the games go…

I like this idea because it brings DH in line with other exhaustion perks that have a limitation on use that's more specific than just your health state. It's like those conditions are a part of the balancing and dead hard doesn't have any, but not being used near pallets would fill that requirement.
-
There are some good tips here. I main killer and play blight sometimes, but I'm on console, so maybe I'll just have to get better with him to better understand. Because you're right, playing killers is the best way to understand them. Your point about not putting yourself into that position at the window explains a lot.…

It's the devs fault you're not escaping?
-
I've experienced both and Dead Hard generates a very similar feeling to what eruption creates. Except eruption doesn't force me to chase and mind game someone for that additional 30 seconds.
-
So much low-key toxicity being passed off as cool headed observations in this thread. Anyways, like everyone else has said, showing who is SWF would give irrationally thinking people something to point at as being a problem - which isn't limited to one side. I only play survivor solo, and I can't tell you how many times…
-
I know, that's why I added the "\s"... twas but a joke.
-
I really hope you're right.

These icons can replace some perks by having a rough idea of where people are, when you last saw them, and what they're now doing. Two people on a gen, you get chased away, person stays on gen. If chase stops on me, within 10-20 seconds of chase starting, the person on the gen knows they should get ready for chase because…
-
Agreed. Would it be too much to prevent interactions for 2 seconds after using dead hard?
-
Do you think this will still be a problem in the future, even as other people start to catch up to the early p100'ers?
-
It might not be for everyone, but I thought it would have been helpful had I been forced to play barebone when I started playing killer, at least for the first few levels. I really screwed myself early on by maining doc. Granted, that wasn't entirely due to perks, but his tracking ability left me having no idea how to…
-
Those locker mishaps bring on something like a rapid grieving process... laugh, roll eyes, realize predicament, anticipate clemency, accept reality. All in a matter of seconds. Often times I annoy myself by either continuing to run after the killer has lost sight of me, and they track me by my scratch marks; or going easy…
-
Endurance can be really annoying. It's not super clear to me what you might be struggling with other than frustration, so I'm gonna give tell you something I do to improve regardless of my problem :3 When stuck, I start changing up random things in the way I play to get a different perspective on what I'm doing. Like, if I…

The first chase is over when the survivor is down, not when they're dead! Stop tunneling! \s
-
This makes the most sense to me. I was wondering why I was going against people that were prestige 20-30 but would run into things during chases.
-
I've never dodged a lobby. I am edgelord. But in all serious, I will sometimes grab a towel for hand sweat if I've faced them before and know they're trouble. But generally, nope, I don't.
-
I always like reading new ideas and you have some great ones. Something I noticed though is that some of your proposed changes are just as vulnerable to exploitation as existing mechanics: the basekit PH cages would allow teleporting killers to forcibly send a hooked survivor around the map by teleporting near it and…
-
You're preaching about having good, fun matches, and in the same breath advocating for behavior that ruins the game for everyone involved. Leaving a game early is worse than tunneling and face camping combined... because everyone is penalized by it. Not to be a jerk but, get over yourself.
-
Yeah, I haven't seen it confirmed, either. I guess I am assuming people just know more than I do, or I'm wishful. But, I like your idea of extending it into those "dead" weeks.
-
In my opinion... it's those pallets... the pallets are survivor sided! I hate the pallets! If they could just remove like 10 of them, I'd be fantastic.
-
If I understood correctly, when they added the deep rifts they extended the rift to 85 days now as the standard.
-
I figured your experience was the case for a lot of people. I didn't see many complaining about crashing at the rate I was, so it could have been exacerbated by something on my end. Many times I would crash, it would be just as the game was ending, then I had to hard power cycle, then the PS4 had to rebuild the database.…

*WIGGLE WiGgLe wiggle* Yeah, it's not my favorite, either lol. My controllers should last longer now, though!
-
yayyeeeeeeeeeeeeee I don't use social media, so if it was posted there I missed it :3
-
That was free advertising for the game... I don't know how this will impact the population growth, but I guess there is still twitch.
-
From what I understand this game was strewn together from pre-defined assets and code libraries. Meaning that everything they used to create the game was built by someone else, so to optimize it, they need to reconstruct it, or hire people who know how to refactor all their existing code - they might even need to rebuild…

Stealth gameplay can be fun, but it often requires you to linger in places for too long, which can be used against you even if you aren't visible. Perks aren't always necessary to find people as others have mentioned, but one perk that can turn stealth against a survivor is Whispers. It can be used to triangulate a single…

Multiple killers are weak, but Freddy is seemingly the weakest. Doctor needs some kind of bonus for increasing survivor madness levels, like a speed boost or something. There's only so many times he can raise it before it stops and madness is incredibly easy to remove these days. I think his power's basekit should be…
-
Eruption and COH... I'd just like to see what the game is like without them for a while.
-
On killers with high mobility it's been slightly problematic, mostly on outdoor maps. But I've never had any other killer feel like they're denying escapes because they used eruption in combination with something else - maybe plague with prayer tablet and overcharge. When I go against it, I just tap the repair button like…

If a survivor runs into the killer model during an interaction or after a hit, the killer has to decide whether to move away from that position and turn around to see if a survivor was standing inside of them or continue the chase knowing that they could be running from who they're chasing. The latter is often the better…
-
If Eruption fired at 80% and they complete them, then Merciless storm would fire at 90%, giving them a total of 20 seconds of continuous skillchecks. If Eruption fires after Merciless Storm does, the generator will likely be finished before Eruption has a chance to fire. If they fail Merciless Storm skillchecks, the…

This! Running around a console killer isn't skill, it's taking advantage of joysticks being hard to use and the limited FOV. I don't struggle with it an incredible amount, but there are times where I miss and I roll my eyes. It's not hard to take a few steps back, or strafe sideways, which usually works, too. But, the…
-
You didn't read the comment my comment is in reference to. I'm referring to the way DS used to be, and why it had to be chagned. My comment you're replying to, I say that DS ends with interactions, too.
-
You will come to find that regardless of how much attention they show to killers, survivors will always become stronger more quickly than will killers. I don't think it's that they pay special attention to survivors, necessarily, but that we get new killers with a new power every quarter. Survivors get new characters, but…
-
I can't say I know because I haven't tested. But I've grabbed people who make the mistake of vaulting right after being unhooked and the basekit borrowed time should be active.
-
My reasoning for the continuous skillchecks is that it would give people an option to choose between staying on the gen for 10 more seconds (with the potential for a consequence), or just taking the 15 seconds of incapacitate. This keeps the perk mostly the same and different enough from merciless storm to be still uniqu,…

Agreed! I've been accused of hacking because I was using whispers and spies from the shadows. "Seriously bro, no matter where I hid you always found me. aimbot?"

Pretty much why I play on console. So little linux support for the games I play. I have a windows partition for betas and other games, but otherwise I just don't care to deal with it.
