I don't understand how this explanation makes him "lose" his argument. Your logic still applies to the ongoing online issue with DBD and that is what he was comparing the cod lobbies to.
-
I wonder if they could still do friday the 13th chapter but instead of Jason, they could use Roy Burns from Part 6 and include a map not related to camp crystal like(like Pinehurst or Forest Green) since technically Victor doesn't own those properties. I know it wouldn't be the same, but it would be better than nothing and…

Ah, never mind what I said then. I guess in fact you do need a ssd for the cable to work. Oh well. Still, I just wanted to see the thread for future reference in case this issue is not going worked on anytime soon. Thanks again for finding it.

The killers is what elevates the horror experience of the game. Mechanics don't mean squat if the suspense is not there. Has it ever register to you that most of the original killers they've released so far just suck? Or do all you care about is the skins?
-
That's exactly it, thanks! Are you sure it's expensive? From what I seen on that thread, the SSD cable is around $10 I believe. Sure, show me how to get thousands of dollars in a few days/weeks and I'll be glad to do so.

Can you give some examples? Not that I think you're wrong or anything, it's just that from my experience of playing and following some games with license content, hearing about them getting removed from the game is a first for me. It makes me now wonder how older games like MKX can still have characters like Predator or…

I'm glad we still get to keep the characters that we bought as I just started to main Byers recently. The only downside to this for me is that they probably won't be able to get his necessary actor to do his voice besides using Steve's and I was hoping they can pursue that one day. Atmosphere wise, Hawkins was my favorite…

I'm pretty confident it's pinhead. There's a reason why they posted the bell emjoi along with the TV showing a glimpse of the red flower. Both signify the summoning of the cenobites. As referenced in the hellraiser movie.
-
The fact that most people here have to keep responding with comments "who?" to names like Hellraiser and Candyman, while the rest is so desperate for the next chapter to bring Springtrap really tells you a lot. I probably should've took a hint when I was playing in a swf group and one of them didn't even know who ash…
-
I'm pretty sure that's because it was originally meant to be candyman to coincide with the release of the movie, but because COVID caused the delay and so they decided to release pyramid head instead.
-
Imagine if they swerved us and it was the girl from the ring.
-
I like license better. Originals are a hit or miss for me. Most of the time they're disappointing because they're not always scary.(You can add the trickster to that list.) The twins was interesting and unique, but that should've been Chucky with someone else.
-
Something else I caught on about those audio files. The letters we got so far is I S A R E, right? Could that also be hinting at Dies Irae? A classic musical piece that the producers used in the shining. And then later on also inspired DBD's theme? I'm not saying the next chapter could be The Shining, it's just a thought I…
-
Great movie, but who would be the killer be and how would the powers work? I do love to see chris washington as a survivor though.
-
I think you're right on point.
-
It doesn't mean they're not hinting at it. They've been posting other letters the past few days, why all of sudden is this one irrelevant now? Even if it's just about the dead dawg saloon being disabled, they could've took a another screenshot of the map without the H, but they didn't.
-
I'm about 60% sure it's candyman. Tony Todd has been acknowledging the gaming community on twitter for quite a bit.
-
Part of me thinking Spiral, but to me that screams legendary skins for Amanda and Tapp rather than a chapter. I think most people theories involving springtrap or candyman are more likely.
-
And Behaviour is posting clown emojis on twitter so idk, anybody's guess is as good as mine. I haven't seen the new Pennywise movies and it's been awhile since I seen the original, but did the movies involve a circus by any chance?
-
Good eye. Makes you wonder if they added that on purpose to clearly mess with us since they know Springtrap and Spiral involves those same letters.
-
So basically like 70 percent of matches are killers running devour hope/noed that can either end the match prematurely or put it in a 15-20 minute excruciating totem hunt, but yet people are complaining over a map being too hard to scout or taking up too much time, even though it's clearly simple to learn the areas by just…
-
This. I had that same feeling when I was playing against a Myers on the Hawkins map. The problem is, most people here don't look at this or want a horror game anymore. Survivor and killer mains want easy plays and this map doesn't favor neither. That's why they're always hating on license maps or guest killers in general.…
-
Honestly, I get it. It's not game killing, but it still goes against the amount work the devs but on designing the survivors. Plus, I don't want to start seeing somebody like Leon or Ash wear somebody else's clothes. That's just crapping on the lore of the characters.
-
Because a horror dlc from a movie right now is about the only thing that would make a new chapter more exciting. I just figured after PH, they would step it up a bit, but right now, all signs point to either another video game character or original killer so it's really nothing special to look forward to.
-
It doesn't look like it's going to be a killer from a movie, so who cares.
-
Well whatever latest patch they dropped on the PS4, it recently started happening to me too and it's probably affecting more others than usual. Before then, I never had a problem with the frame rate/struggling issue, even when crossplay was first added.
-
I know it's probably a stretch, but I either want Jack Torrance from the Shining or Norman Bates from Psycho. They would be HUGE additions imo.
-
I'm thinking either Sydney Prescott or Randy Meek for survivors along with a Woodsboro street/Prescott house map. Something to do with a cellphone for Ghostface's powers? I can't see it being a new outfit. I mean for what? He has his classic cosmetic in the game, you don't need to alter his appearance any further.
-
Either the movie or television versions of the Gecko Brothers from the action horror classic From Dusk till Dawn because they're both so freaking amazing. I never had much interest in seeing the sequels, but the first film is a classic and Robert Rodriguez's reimagining of the movie expanded into a television series was…
-
My first thought was the "Us" movie since Jordan Peele makes some references where most things have this superstition of being equal, but then that wouldn't probably really fit under a classic license.
-
I was wondering if someone else caught on to that besides me. There's also a resemblance in the first movie too.
-
So wait, you don't think it's Pennywise because it didn't leave a bigger mark, but you think it's leprechaun out of all the horror icons? Ok.
-
At this point, with the It remake making Pennywise more fresh again and we also have an upcoming Candyman movie, the logical choices would be either those two. But then there's another thing that caught my attention from the 4th announcement page that keeps bugging me. It reads "Marked the world of horror since its…
-
If it's Pennywise, it's possible they could always do 2 new survivors similar to the Stranger Things chapter. Candyman can also have both Helen and Anthony from the upcoming sequel. Even though it might be an odd pairing considering Anthony was a baby in the first movie, but if I understand the DBD lore right, time doesn't…
-
And that matters how? You still made the claim a character can't be iconic because they had terrible sequels and I was giving you other franchises with iconic characters as an example.
-
If we're going with that logic, Freddy, Michael and Jason are not iconic since they had tons of terrible sequels.
-
But that's all in the gaming media, it's not rest of the world. Don't get me wrong, I'm not discrediting Silent Hill, it's a classic successful gaming franchise and I'm sure people may familiar with the name in the mainstream, but just because it was popular enough to put out a few movies, it didn't leave that same huge…
-
They said it's going to be a classic license that has "marked the world of horror since it's inception." So it has to be a person or figure that has created a cult following, sparked up some media buzz and have people still talking about til this day. There's an extremely low chance any ordinary person has heard of Pyramid…
-
This is one of the reasons why I kind of want Norman Bates as another killer. A map with a mansion combined with motel rooms would be pretty sick and can create a creepy atmosphere.
-
Remember from their news page regarding their 4th anniversary announcement, they mention a classic license that has "marked the world of horror since its inception." That likely means a horror character that made an impact not just in movie, but also the media and many other forms of entertainment due to it's cult…

Not only teleportation, but I was thinking maybe the mirrors could be a bit similar to corrupt intervention as well. Only in this case, instead of the entity blocking the generators, it's full of mirrors covering them and the only way to get rid of them is if the survivors perform a skill check meanwhile have a lullaby…
