Thank you for sharing your lovely story, having those real life experiences I hope will make people think a little more about why it matters. Thanks for sharing your lovely dog too and those arms #Thirst
-
How do you know what their intention was at the beginning, and why does it matter so much to you? You have had answers to the 'points' you're making and you don't seem to be grasping it - just say you're mad at a character being confirmed to be gay and move on, it's honestly cringeworthy how you refuse to be educated on…
-
So you want to assume all the other characters are straight, but you also don't think representation or mentioning sexuality of characters in a video game is necessary. Which is it? You contradict yourself. What a mess.
-
Hmm, so because YOU don't feel it's necessary and don't want it, it shouldn't happen? Jeez, do you have any idea just how selfish and entitled you sound? Grow up, seriously.
-
I hate this challenge. I misunderstood the description and thought they were going to spawn where the totems actually are, and I couldn't understand why I couldn't find any (equipped a map and went on a totem hunt)
-
The arguments of 'why does this need to be a big announcement, why can't they just treat it as no big deal' to me really smacks of straight people (and some LGBT+ people, admittedly - as demonstrated by someone on this very thread) who whinge on about Pride events/parade "oh, why do they need to shove it down our throats,…
-
I wish I could vote this up multiple times - this is such a good post, and articulates it beautifully. The people who are genuine and want to know what 'the big deal' is should read it - the ones who don't, well we know why.
-
You just don't get it. No worries, maybe you will one day and maybe you won't. It makes little sense for me to continue this conversation so I wish you well, and just to say that when people from a marginalised group are trying to express why they feel a particular way about something, it would benefit everyone if people…

Regarding your 'representation in a horror game' comment which I've seen in different guises quite often, there seems to be this implication or assumption that representation doesn't matter when it's a horror game that's not about sexuality at all. I can sort of understand where people are coming from with that, but think…
-
I see what you're saying, it would be great to get to a point where something like this truly IS not a big deal at all and is truly equal to heterosexuality, but we're just not there yet - by highlighting the difference, instead of thinking of it as a means of reinforcing a 'division', try to frame it as a way of…
-
As has been pointed out, it does not state in the existing lore that he isn't gay. It states that he previously dated a woman. Something that a vast number of gay men also did at one point in their lives.
-
Or... just a thought, it could be read as more 'true to life' in that you likely know many LGBTQIA2+ people or have encountered them in your life, and have maybe made some assumptions about them or thought they were one thing and discovered (or not) at a later stage that you were wrong. A lot of gay men aren't effeminate,…

I'm a bit confused here. You say that killer's enjoyment of the game is waning which is why they face-camp - but can any killers please explain to me how face-camping is fun? Even if you don't kill anyone, surely chasing after survivors is more fun than hooking them and just standing still for a couple of minutes until…
-
Camping and tunnelling is out of control. If killers are so triggered by the CoH boon, just remove it from the game. The camping and tunnelling is killing this game and I am getting to the point I want to stop playing because it's rarely enjoyable
-
I introduced a friend to the game recently and their comments echo some of what has been said - bloodweb is too grindy, with too many perks and useless items (what's even the point of keys now, seriously? It's a one in a hundred chance to actually use one which makes them and therefore all the key add-ons a waste of points…
-
Sure, make BT, Decisive and Kindred basekit too though
-
Call me crazy, but when I play a game I like to experience all of the gameplay. Yes, chases are fun - but if you are in a chase the whole time until you are dead, you've experienced a fraction of the game. Likewise for your teammates who have only sat on gens and done the odd unhook. I don't understand why this is…
-
The issue I think the Devs have in maintaining balance in this game is that it's not a case of Killer Vs Survivor, as you have Killer, SWF and Solo Q that all need to be balanced - if you buff Killer to balance against SWF, you disproportionately nerf Solo Q. I feel like there a lots of small QoL changes they could make…
-
This is the bit that got me: "dude has blood warden. and all of us died to it because it stayed up a literal minute long" Yes, that's...that's what it does... I am not sure if this is a troll post?
-
It makes the game boring. A boring game isn't fun. The purpose of a game is to have fun. Therefore, tunnelling defeats the purpose of the game. People don't want to play anymore. People play other games instead. The game dies. What's not clicking?
-
It might not be considered bannable but I do think it's unsportsmanlike behaviour - I wish that actually did something, like if someone gets over a certain percentage they start to only get matched with other players of a similar poor behaviour score, and if you give props someone's behaviour score is boosted and they are…
-
This sums it up for me. It can be Survivor to Killer, Killer to Survivor, or even Survivor to Survivor - had a situation recently on The Game vs Spirit, I found a glowing totem which I cleansed and it happened to be Haunted Ground. One of my teammates then got downed nearby, which he then decided to blame on me (sent me a…
-
For survivors, I feel like Borrowed Time is mandatory and even though I resent having to take it, whenever anyone doesn't have it and unhooks me, it invariably results in me being tunnelled. Though I think there's also a strong argument for something like Bond - something that puts Solo Q closer on par with SWF would be…
-
I like this!!
-
This is exactly what happens to me, or a teammate when I face the Pig. I find it unfun to play against any tunneller (whether it's me or a teammate being tunnelled) but it's perplexing when Pig does it because it's literally pointless to use your power if you're not going to actually use it, you know?
-
It's not just seeing an injured survivor with trap, it's literally waiting for them to get unhooked and then chasing them down and hooking them again - meanwhile the 3 others are doing gens and you're likely going to get 1k absolute max. My last game this happened to me, I just ran for the exit with the active trap still…
-
Killer: Franklin's Demise. I wouldn't even say it's particularly popular but for some reason I have been encountering it a lot lately and I find it really annoying to play against, if you've brought a decent item in with good add-ons only to lose it before you've had a chance to use it. Just feels cheap to me. Survivor:…
-
If I become aware that a teammate is being tunnelled, then I tend to try and distract the killer and bodyblock, get them to chase/hit me instead etc - but I have to say the majority of the time, a killer who is going to tunnel is going to do it no matter what. I have literally run into killers before and they still just…
-
I agree that they are both trash perks and a waste of a slot. However, you mentioned that there's a precedent for perks that don't synergize using Claudette as an example and I disagree with you there - she's designed as a healer - by using Botany Knowledge you speed up your own Self-Care healing, or the healing you do to…
-
He looks great!!
-
The issue I have with it is that it doesn't encourage you to get better as a killer, because you can always use it as a crutch to get kills if the game went badly. It feels cheap as a survivor to have a good game and then fall down at the final hurdle too, simply because you couldn't find one totem. It also discourages end…
-
Is it just me who can't find any detail at all about what the powers are for The Cenobite or what the box does? I thought it was going to be covered in the patch notes.
-
I'm sad to see the laboratory map go, I actually like it. I'm hoping they will replace it with a Hellraiser-themed map - hell labyrinth perhaps?
-
When it becomes consistently unfun to play. At the moment, it's inconsistently fun, which is still an issue but the times where it is fun are sufficient to keep me coming back for more. But it is diminishing returns - survivor teammates that screw you over, killers who camp and tunnel - a seemingly complete lack of…
-
Not to mention, when I have a teammate that is being tunnelled I will deliberately run into the killer to get them to chase/hit me instead - and when they choose not to and continue to go for the one they are tunnelling, at that point I know they are scum and I will disconnect in solidarity with the tunnelled one if they…
-
No, agreed - but that's down to your definition of winning. If as a killer you enjoy tunnelling someone out of the game and then either losing the rest because they have focused gens, or having an easy win because it's 3 rather than 4 for the majority of the game - that's up to you. It isn't and will never be fun to me…
-
It's this attitude that I don't understand, personally. I win when I have a fun game - regardless if I escape as a survivor, or kill everyone as killer. If you escape as survivor, but you didn't have fun - did you really win? Is 'winning' the most important thing to you? If you kill all the survivors, but they just lined…
-
I will never understand why people don't know why tunnelling is hated. It's very simple: If you're being tunnelled, you don't get the opportunity to play all the aspects of the game. It's boring. If you're not being tunnelled, you don't get the opportunity to play all the aspects of the game. It's boring. Tunnelling is…
-
I don't use DS since the nerf, one of the last times I did use it, I got picked up right by the (open) exit gate and I missed the damn skill check and got killed. I personally think DS is pointless now anyway, since anyone who uses it only has a few seconds to get away and the killer goes straight for them as soon as…
-
Agreed. I had a game yesterday where a guy was downed then unhooked by me safely, soon after they got downed again and unhooked by a teammate immediately (literally immediately) and then downed instantly. I ran over and got the killer to hit me, and then down me, in the hope he would pick me up and he still picked the…
-
I have had the map literally once and one survivor disconnected immediately, which prompted the two others to disconnect, and I thought to myself, oh well maybe the killer (Nemesis - so on-brand) will be chilled and we can just explore the map but no he went for me and downed me immediately, so I d/c'ed too. What a prick.
-
I don't find him OP - I do find him unfun to play against and usually scummy. I never have an enjoyable game versus a Wraith, whether win or lose.
-
Cannot describe how much I utterly hate that perk anyway - literally the most scummy killer perk out there. Seems to have become really popular lately for some reason. I honestly feel like it's straight up unfair as there isn't any way to avoid it, and usually when you are hit you then run away from where you were hit so…
-
Definitely a lot more d/c, it's incredibly annoying when it happens early in a match as Survivor because it is very difficult to come back from. I've had more than a few games where someone will d/c if they are the first downed. I only d/c if I've been tunnelled and I'm just about to be hooked for the final time.
-
In terms of killers I hate playing against, I base it on which killers I find UNFUN to play against - so even though I think Spirit is hard to play against, I still actually tend to have fun playing against her so I wouldn't put her on the list. Same with Nurse - a good nurse is really hard to play against, but still…
-
I would love there to be a counter on it, at minimum. It's annoying looking for a totem to have a heal in reserve when the totem doesn't even exist anymore.
-
Not at all, why are you assuming that they even have cakes? I am getting perhaps one cake each level of the Bloodweb as survivor so I don't have one for every match, it's better to use something than nothing surely? For me, the games are going one of two ways when everyone/almost everyone brings a cake - either the killer…
-
100% agree. That's what makes it feel so scummy.
-
IMO BT is the only mandatory survivor perk around now. The game is just not worth playing without it.
-
I think people defending tunnelling so vocally don't see the bigger picture with this - it may be a 'legit' strategy, but by doing it from the beginning of a game, you are creating an unfun game for 4 other players - the one who is being tunnelled, plus their 3 team mates who get very little interaction with the killer…
