Ah yes, let's add even more reasons for survivor mains to quit playing the game. Sign me up.

Nurse will probably be nerfed at some point, it's the direction BHVR has been going in for a while. Lowering the skill ceiling to accommodate new/casual players (probably 90% of the player base) over veteran, high skill, high hour players (probably 10% of the player base). For someone who has played for five years, it's…

We’re comparing her to doctor? Really…

Yes. It does. If they're saying that you will get "easier matches when you’re trying out a new Killer for the first time." and you don't. Then it does not work as intended.
-
"Skill based matchmaking ratings are also separate for each Killer, meaning you’ll have tougher matches with the Killer you’re really good at, but easier matches when you’re trying out a new Killer for the first time." If that's the case then that's okay. It's just not how they worded it in their Q&A. Seems to defeat the…

SWF then Killer then 100 miles down the road you’ve got Solo Queue.
-
How many maps are disabled now? The Game? RPD? Blood Lodge? Dead Dawg Saloon? 💤
-
I imagine a lot of killers will stop playing when they realise they're not as good as they thought they were. I, like anyone else who played enough could easily get to Rank 1. But the reality is if I get matched with very good teams I'll get destroyed. No one is going to enjoy getting shat on every game. The argument of…

Do you know if that was an intentional nerf to Spirit or just an oopsie from the Devs?
-
Sell Out You value your own life more than your fellow survivors. You must survive. Whilst in chase, pressing the Active Ability button silences your footsteps/grunts of pain and removes any scratch marks for 10/15/20 seconds. When Sell Out activates, all other survivors have their positions revealed to the killer and…

It's a pretty transparent attempt at trying to bring players back into the game. We know that they've lost 9,000 players this month on Steam so instead of addressing the major issues that are pushing people away from DBD, they're offering login rewards to bribe players to load the game up. Fix matchmaking, fix hit…
-
Matchmaking has always been a joke. It's simple. Change it so that red ranks, play with red ranks. Purple ranks play with purple ranks. Green ranks play with green ranks. Yellow ranks play with yellow ranks. Brown ranks play with brown ranks. NO EXCEPTIONS (other than SWF, where the killer matches the highest ranked…
-
It's just getting boring now. I'm Rank 2 survivor at the moment and have just had game after game after game of mismatches tonight. Just turned the PC off after playing three games back to back against Rank 14+ killers and after getting matched with Rank 14+ survivors. Players who are new to the game are going to be…
-
Probably Demodoggo. He has made me come close to following through on several occasions in game. Shirtless Myers would be my man of choice though. Who wouldn't want to be chased after by that beef cake? Shame we're not likely to ever get that cosmetic. I'd genuinely pay upwards of $30 for that bad boy.
-
I thought matchmaking had been fixed? I'm Rank 7 killer at the moment and have come up against low red ranks consistently tonight. If I get bored of being pooped on and try to play survivor for a bit, I'm looking at a 5+ minute wait to get a game at purple ranks. :(
-
I had the same issue just now. I haven't played DBD for a few weeks. First game tonight as killer and I end up with three rank 2's and a rank 14. I'm pretty good and have played for quite a while. But if a new player has to come up against lobbies like that, they'll lose interest in the game very quickly. Glad to hear that…
-
Decisive Strike doesn't need a nerf. It's only active for a max of 60 seconds after being hooked. When a good killer sees that there's an obsession, they'll probably assume that every survivor in the game has DS and avoid picking them up for 60 seconds if they can. On top of that, you can only use it once and if you miss…
-
Same as usual to be honest. In EU, after 7PM I expect to wait a good five minutes to find a game as Survivor. As Killer I usually find games within 10 seconds but I only seem to come up against toxic SWF groups at this time so I just don't bother playing. For some reason I find it a lot harder going up against SWF on…
-
Haven't played in a month or so. Fancied a bit of killer. Waited 15 minutes on PS4 to get into a game at rank 13 and was matched with 2 rank 5's and 2 rank 3's. Tried survivor - waited 5 minutes to get a lobby at rank 16 and get a rank 4 killer. Game uninstalled.
-
It's ridiculous. I'm a decent killer but an ass survivor. I'm a bit burnt out as killer so I thought I'd give survivor as bash. The last 5 games I've had tonight have been red rank killers against Rank 15-20 survivors. It has been a complete ######### storm. I'm starting to feel sorry for the killers to be honest! The longest…

The one and only time I wasn’t messaged post game and told to either kill myself, suck a dick or delete the game. That was a good day.
-
I am a well-endowed owner of a pirate ship.
-
I hadn’t played DBD since the new killer came out - first game back was today. No idea how they’re justifying this ranking system. It is utter dog #########. I just played against a gen rushing SWF group - 3 gens done in about 3 minutes. I then ended up 3king with 2 gens left and the last player got the hatch. Every survivor…

I hate dark maps. Swamp maps are my least favourite. They depress me! But I guess this is the norm in a horror game. It's unlikely to happen but I'd love a tropical island resort themed map. Like the Dead Island resort. It'd be awesome to have a daytime map but it's unlikely. So I'd take sunset!
-
Shitless Myers - Just take my money. Or... Mankini Myers or David. Again... Take even more of my money.
-
I main Spirit at R1. She's probably the most powerful killer in the game. Nurse and Billy are good in their own right, but Spirit pips it for me. Everything @thesuicidefox says is right. Ultimately, the best way to get better against her, is to play with her. The same goes with any killer. Once you understand how they work…
-
In all seriousness. It annoys me too. I don't play survivor too much because at low ranks - most survivors do far too many dumb things. I played a game earlier where the 3 other survivors had all been downed by Billy's chainsaw before any gens had been touched. How are you supposed to enjoy a game like that?
-
git gud 😂
-
What a terrible thread.
-
Nice idea. I mean, if they can stick an ancient Babylonian temple in the middle of Red Forest, Fisherman's Wharf wouldn't look out of place in, I don't know? Haddonfield? 😂
-
NOED is an ass perk. I'm a R1 killer main, hate it and never use it. 90% of my games are finished by the time 5 generators are repaired. I'm not going to run a perk that I might use in 10% of my games. BBQ, Hex: Ruin and Nurse's Calling are strong perks but can all be dealt with. BBQ - get in range or hide in a locker,…
-
To be fair, David already looks, runs and sounds like a gorilla in this game. That's good enough for me.
-
I used to rotate Myers, Trapper and Billy at red ranks. All pretty enjoyable to play with. Nurse isn't anywhere as near as powerful on console as she is on PC so I don't touch her unless I've got a daily. I bought Spirit a couple of weeks ago and have never looked back. I don't even bother dodge what I deem to be toxic SWF…
-
You're awful.
-
The fact that we have a shirtless David but no shirtless Myers. It's a travesty.
-
Honestly. It looks like they ran out of time so just decided to copy what they had done and stick it in the middle of Red Forest. When the teaser came out I had envisaged a catacomb style map, which would have been awesome. Underground, tight spaces, tunnels etc. Sadly it’s just more of the same of what we already had.…
-
I've only had this on two occasions on Backwater Swamp. It is an absolute nightmare to come up against but thankfully it's very rare. Although I suppose because it's so rare, it's hard to replicate and fix!
-
Nice post :) Every game developer should make an effort to make their games more accessible for people with disabilities. The problem is, is that there are thousands of disabilities that all carry different characteristics meaning that hundreds of different accommodations would need to be made, which of course, would be…
-
If I think I'm going up against a SWF group, I'll just leave the lobby and join another one. As far as the devs changing things so that all survivors spawn in at the same time. If they do it, I'll just DC if I'm put up against a group of toxic survivors, right up until they bring in harsher punishments for DC'ing. At that…
-
To be honest, I don't blame people from disconnecting against SWF groups. I was being chased by the killer after about 20 seconds from the start in a SWF game. I randomly ran past his Hex Ruin in the most ridiculous of places (behind a flaming barrel in a corner of the map no one would normally visit), told my friend over…

PC users have a mouse and keyboard as default. They can use controllers if they want to but this doesn't put them at an advantage over other players because you have far more control with a mouse and keyboard. Whereas on console, everyone has a controller as default. If players were able to use mouse and keyboard it would…

Mine is Vinc3ntVega - He streams 6pm - 10pm EST. He's funny as hell, a good survivor/killer and doesn't take the game too seriously. He interacts with chat more than any other streamer I know. His beard is also majestic. Definitely check him out if you can. He's well worth your time!
-
I'd put Shirtless Myers in the store. Then I'd retire immediately as I am a builder and severely under-qualified to run a video game development studio.
-
All incorrect. There is only one correct answer. Survivor - Shirtless David Killer - Shirtless Myers.
-
Hopefully they're spending the time designing Shirtless Myers. I'm expecting nothing less than big guns and chiseled abs, guys.
-
Myers can make a great toxic build if you've had enough of tea bagging, purple flashlights, pallet looping gods and messages telling you to go and jump off a cliff. If I see that I'm up against a SWF group with flashlights, I'll whack on a 'Fragrant Tuft Of Hair' (unlimited Tier 3). Any tea bagging or light flickering then…
-
There's nothing wrong with camping. The devs wouldn't have created 'Insidious' if they didn't want to encourage it. It is a legitimate strategy used by killers to ensure a kill. The downside of camping for the killer is that it allows the remaining players to repair gens undisturbed. If you're playing with your friends are…

We're Gonna Live Forever (because bloodpoints) Borrowed Time (because I don't like hook farming) Self Care (because I usually take hits when I protecc the survivors I unhook) Distraction (because I like throwing rocks at killers at the exit gate to ensure I get a salty message)
-
If you're a new player, I strongly recommend getting The Cannibal. BBQ & Chilli is one of the best perks in the game. When you hook a survivor you can see the auras of other survivors at variable distances depending on what tier the perk is at. It's a teachable perk at Level 35. It also gives you a stackable bloodpoint…
