There's an entire network of toxic streamers and their friends on Steam that exist to make everyone miserable. I'd love to share a wholesome moment but it's been so long in between that I don't remember one that didn't involve playing with my friends. By and large this community makes me sick with this desire to win at all…

I wish I could say something about either of those killers but lately I only play against Freddy and Blight
-
If you're not "sensitive" to toxic people then you're part of the problem. However, I agree there should be no built in comms.
-
You and the 56 people that voted for this comment, (so far), have evidently never used the many aura reading perks and add ons to have hunting done for you.
-
"Gen rushing" translation: the survivors shouldn't do their only objective because I want to camp/tunnel/mori
-
Same is true for you. Anyone over the age of 12 using "git gud" unironically should probably look for more social circles.
-
"LeT mE GiT tHiS sTRaIgHt" Please. I'm so tired of half-wits conjuring up as much crap as they can to avoid admitting they use bbq to make hunting as easy as possible. Killers are not viable without it anymore.
-
I say this as someone who plays SWF occasionally with teams up to 4, the only way this happens is to get rid of that feature. If players can't entertain themselves for 10 minutes at a time then they have bigger problems to worry about.
-
I can't believe people still tug their weiners over how great they think they are at a video game. If you're going to lie, make it plausible next time. Or, play him without any perks and add ons and then come tell us how awesome your mother said you were.
-
I agree, the most toxic players will pretty much have carte blanche to the game. The bright side is they'll be screwing each other over instead of players trying to have fun. I just can't believe the decline in quality from this game for the last 2 years. The players have always been pretty selfish and awful, as is the…
-
This seems to get brought up every few months and I think it's valid. Again I always point to "fog whisperers" and casual players who really complained nonstop about the original MoM because they'd have one bad game against it for every 10 successful ones. I loved Hybridpanda and I hope he returns soon but he was at the…
-
I've long wanted a perkless mode. That's about as even across the board as it can be. It forces survivors to pick and choose their movements more wisely and killers to actually have to hunt and pursue.
-
Decisive Strike got the change it needed. While there was enjoyment to be had watching a killer so afraid of it they'd do anything to avoid it, it was still circumventing the process because they'd rather not engage in challenging gameplay. While it's rare, there's still a small contingent of killer mains who tuck their…

"Gen rushing" is definitely one of the dumbest terms in a very long list of them with this game and community. With totems being a very close second, generators are literally the only main objective needed to escape. If a killer player is too incompetent to either put pressure on them or fails to use the right combination…
-
You're obviously one of the useless cretons this post is referring to. The type that makes any gaming community they're part of worse just by being in it. That being said, there shouldn't be any changes to tea bagging or flashlights because selfish, obnoxious, maladjusted, fragile ego gamers will always find a way to ruin…
-
I can't fully prove this, but I believe a majority of proposed changes comes from "fog whisperers", the streamers that pay to get preferential treatment in return for kickbacks for in game currency. Changing perks most players don't use will be showcased by these streamers to entice new players or keep the current group of…
-
The only problem that ever existed with Decisive Strike was killer players who were so terrified of it they did the "dribbling" to the hook.
-
The biggest worry before dedicated servers was lag switching and/or vpn players with a terrible connection. The hitboxes have always been terrible but since cross play has been implemented it's worse. I honestly don't know what the fix could or should be at this point.
-
As long as there have been online games there has been selfish, obnoxious, insecure jerks to play them. If you remove one mechanic to prevent trolling, they'll find another. When you're useless you have to think of ways to overcome that.
-
Nerf this, buff that. Unbelievable. I've been in matches against wraiths in red ranks who wiped the floor with us. Granted, as you said they're perk and add on reliant but frankly, that's almost all killers and a prestige 3 wraith certainly put the time and effort into learning the character and became skilled. Players on…
-
That seems to be gamers in general. A criticism of a free reward isn't entitlement. Demanding a free reward is. You are right though this community does make one sick.
-
The gaming equivalent to a $600 check, "not bad". This is why the devs don't have an incentive stop regressing the game. People are eating up the crumbs they drop.
-
"We can't afford to nerf the killers anymore because lets face it there isn't many killers left according to survivors on here. Q times." All of this started when they first added the SWF feature and has only exponentially gotten worse every year. Apparently there's a contingent of gamers that can't entertain themselves…
-
They keep making these changes and then changing the changes because the terrible combination of whiny players and streamers who have paid to have their opinions heard above others are given priority. 2017-18 was the last time I felt this game wasn't determined to undermine it's own premise. It's like the butterfly effect,…
-
Get serious. Killers and survivors at red ranks can be really terrible people. That's not exclusive to Dead by Daylight either. In a game where escaping or getting 4 kills isn't necessary to get a lot of points or rank up, insecure players will still have a lust to tug their weens at how great they think they are at the…
-
It's not. There's no downside to it other than missing but any player will add the belt to get extra hatchets. They don't have to do anything to earn a one hit down. You could say they have to aim it but anyone who has played this game more than 3 hours will tell you hatchets have been known to make sharp turns around…
-
I agree that the barbed wire should wear off if you're healed or a certain amount of time has passed. Even when the doctor puts you in madness 3 you can break out of that. That continues to be the biggest problem with this game is the inconsistency with things like that. Precedents exist and some streamers and devs pretend…
-
Corrupt intervention is a complete waste of a perk slot and any killer using it needs to learn to patrol better. I've been in matches where 1 or two other survivors will hide and wait out the timer. This is a great tactic because it completely wastes its purpose and makes the killer look like an idiot.
-
"Also, why should it be a risk/reward situation for doing a good job of sneaking up on survivors without being heard?" You answered your own question here.
-
His buff is unnecessary because it should be a risk/reward situation. You can still hear Michael breathing and Ghostface's cape? flapping around. I don't see why Wraith needs to be completely invisible. Unless the devs just think the current crop of killer players are that incompetent.
-
All there was to it was, "it's too much information". Now, this was before bbq and allllllll of the other aura reading perks and add ons came along so it's even less valid.
-
I remember seeing this suggestion a long time ago and of course it was met with disdain. By that logic we shouldn't know how many generators are left to complete. I think it's a great idea to also show remaining totems.
-
With Stridor completely negating Iron Will and Calm Spirit negating the doctor's power, infectious fright, and clown's bottles, there's a precedent. There was no reason at all to make "undetectable" a thing when a perk has aura reading capabilities. The inconsistency is maddening.
-
I think once this next patch goes live that might be time for me to retire as well. I've been playing since December 2016 and until the middle of 2019 I thought this game was outstanding. Once they added garbage like "fog whisperers", perk and killer reworks/buffs/nerfs, (all at the former's whim"), unbalanced SWF feature,…
-
Rework? He's already getting an unnecessary buff in this next patch. He also has insane add ons that give him total silence and aura reading ability outside of perks the player may or may not use.
-
I would agree with 100% if the game was designed for 4 strangers to try and work together. Linking up with friends isn't quite the issue, it's the use of comms and gaining unearned information.
-
*No one escapes death has entered the chat*
-
Of course they forgot. Streamers and casual players made sure it got nerfed into uselessness.
-
The whole premise of the game was to see if 4 strangers could work together with limited communication and escape. You know, like a horror movie. It is more difficult for solo players only when it come to perk selection. If you're by yourself and not using perks like Aftercare, Bond, and Kindred you're insane.
-
I've maxed out objective and altruism and gotten the obligatory 5k for survival upon escape and barely safety pipped because of this terrible emblem system.
-
Bad grammar and straw man. All the hallmarks of a gamer post. SWF should never have been added. If gamers over the age of 10 can't entertain themselves then they have bigger problems to worry about.
-
I think the most egregious changes that have been made were changing map tiles because devs think killers are incompetent, not doing holiday themed lobbies except Halloween and this year it was questionable because it all centered on Blight's release, the rift because now killers and survivors play in unnatural ways to get…
-
Oh God it's even worse! I didn't even think about that. 250k bp for a major grind. The player base seems to be eating it up so why would the devs change anything?
-
"...a more realistic direction..." ######### off with this. This is game is pure fantasy and why it was fun. The HUD looks terrible and now it's obvious they're just making changes for the sake of change and not doing anything to promote clean gameplay.
-
We got the endgame collapse because gamers can be so selfish and worthless that survivors and killers would stand off at the hatch like #########. Blame them.
-
This is a great idea! I'd love to return some cosmetics I haven't used in a long time.
-
I would love to know how much these "fog whisperers" paid to be able to bend the devs will as they see fit. Please stop watching their streams. They've been making the game worse for the last 2 years.
-
The only part of this that's accurate is the last sentence. The rest is fiction.
-
I'm right there with you. I used it for the month it was actually useful in it's original design. I've said ad nauseum that the problem was a combination of streamers and casual players who didn't know what the ######### they were talking about and got it nerfed. The perk didn't activate every time. You didn't get credit for a…
-
Awesome question! The gates being powered shouldn't grant killers anything special. If they were too incompetent or unprepared to patrol gens then that's their problem.
