I don't think it's a bug. The transitions are smoother overall. At least I hope it's not......
-
Where is it? I never saw it (an announcement tied to this chapter that is)
-
haha, ok :-)
-
I had the words 'name' and 'grind' censored. Why?
-
Bugs aren't always in the patch notes though. And I know about the different killer speeds, I have played this game for quite some time.
-
Are you jesting?
-
I agree that the timer versus the hit mechanic makes little sense.
-
That's a very nice way to put it. How would you add skill to his kit?
-
I saw some post where a person thought it was too OP and punishing so I snatched it and added it to my station list
-
Haha! Happens to the best of us :-)
-
Well, confirmation bias is constant and has nothing to do with the topic at hand. If you have an opinion or a belief, you're probably engaging in confirmation bias whether you like it or not. I could have used other examples than pig and ormond and arrived at the same conclusion. We gravitate towards cementing our opinions…
-
Then why are you trying to push me to interpret the data? I have said three times now that we cannot make assumptions based on the data alone.
-
The following stations are en route: DS Station NOED Station Dead Hard Station BBQ Station Spine Chill Station
-
What is your point?
-
I'm not claiming that. I'm claiming that we could interpret lots of things from the data (not only that low pick rate = inflated number). Possible interpretations from the data: Pig's kill ratio is misleading because of expert players being overrepresented in the sample population Pig's kill ratio is high due to survivors…
-
I don't think she is outdated but I think RNG is generally frustrating in a game where stakes are high. Maybe they should apply trapper logic to her traps as well?
-
I see! Well, we agree that our perception on maps can be deceiving at times. I think Otz is brilliant. Was this his logical reasoning or was it confirmed by the devs that her killrate is due to rng?
-
Or rather: following that logic, we can't infer anything from data without analyzing it further.
-
Well said
-
Not as annoying as a player sprint bursting away just as you thought you were going to apply some pressure. All exhaustion perks has their respective moments that are annoying.
-
I wholeheartedly agree with your points.
-
What are these statistics that you are referring to? No, I agree that you don't balance the game with common sense. Hopefully you have a vision that you try to balance the game towards. And then you look at the all the data at hand and try to understand how different tweaks will cater towards that goal. And maybe try it…
-
How so? To me it indicates that she has a very high skill ceiling.
-
Interesting. Not the best of sources but according to the dbd wiki, Dead Dawg Saloon is one of the smallest whereas Haddonfield is one of the largest. Also curious, when you say pig is a weak killer, what do you factor in? Again, I'm not saying nerfs should be removed, they balance the game. But individual players do not…
-
Totally agree that statistics only is a small part of the picture. But my point is that so is the player perception. OoO is strong in some cases but weak in other cases. Same with Haddonfield. Context is everything, but which context should be the guiding one?
-
I agree that the data needs to be analyzed and contextualized. But seeing that all killers suffer from the same matchmaking, we can probably disregard that as a factor. If I remember correctly, the data was collected from all players over a period of time, so the amount of samples would have been pretty decent. I've also…
-
Glad that we agree on the most part! I can see why you feel my examples are are misleading, let me clarify how I mean: everyone is not deeming Ormond as the largest but there has been numerous discussions where people has called it the or one of the largest maps in the game. I have never seen a discussion about relativity…
-
No
-
These hits landed
-
IThanks for the tip: already did the full report :-)
-
How do you do that?
-
Same for me. Found this thread and tried: instant queues when cross-play is turned off.
-
Yeah it didn't work out. Also fences, cars, picnic tables seemed off to me. But my muscle memory can be off too.
-
It's inconsistent, yeah. But on Haddonfield it felt like tables/cars/fences didn't want to let me through, more so than usual. I wondered if there was something unusual with that map in particular.
-
@Trashmaster I don't agree. I had DH that I would've used had it not cut me down pre-connect.
-
@Ghouled_Mojo Gathering opinions implies there is an evaluation process in the making (that may or may not lead to a change). However, reverting is not the same thing as changing something. They could, for instance, tweak some of the animations in the future depending on the community reaction without entirely reverting…
-
@ProfoundEnding WHAT? No I love it they have to let me keep it, haha. No taksies backsies!
-
@Phasmamain I actually meant the golden jersey!
-
Absolutely more exhausting! I did write it in my draft but took it away because I didn't want to create a thread that focused on whose the bigger victim. But I cannot play for more than a couple of games before I'm beat. Survivors generally have several periods of down time during a match. I'm lucky I play survivor to the…

Thanks for your well spoken post and your solid advice. Taken to heart ❤️
-
That’s the thing: I know all of this but still find myself feeling sad when being chastised. I win far more than I lose and consistently sit at red ranks. I still feel stressed and bad in a way that I never experience as survivor. Love Otz btw. Such a wholesome dude <3
-
Sounds like a very interesting read: thank you for this!
-
Cool, will try this. Thanks!
-
I should, yeah. I tend to not do it, but I would lie if I said I never had. I’ve been tunneled off the hook and spoken my mind more than once.
-
It feels better knowing I’m not alone. Thanks for that
-
Not that it matters really, but for the sake of clarity: I have 2k hours in the game and rank 1 in both roles. A red rank potato, but still :) I really like your idea of roleplaying. Will try this at some point!
-
But why did they decide to scatter everything around the screen? I did not know this was something the community asked for.
-
@MandyTalk great news for me :)
-
Oh, is it the one called 'snack time'?
-
No, the WARMDWIGHT code which was limited in number. There were 25.000 codes.
