Rip PH
We all knew this day was coming, sadly, devs listen too much the survivor community, he can't bait anymore, only decent thing about his changed is POTD being slightly shorter, welp, I'm done with the survivor community, time to mori them when I play killer

I’m just gonna switch to Spirit lol. Enjoy another Stridor Spirit guys 😚

XD I had that yesterday while playing on crossplay, it's kinda unfair but hey, gotta deal with it! ^^
1 -
I mean, it doesn't even affect players that didn't use cheap tactics, you shouldn't benefit by not using your power.
44 -
Dunno about the PH changes. If it limits just as much as demo or huntress he can bait just fine.
24 -
I'd say it really all depends on the numbers. Like if it's 2 seconds off the recovery of his Punishment then we might be talking.
Honestly it's the change he needed, but they just needed to also increase the speed of the attack to make it less dodgeable and more about predicting. If it's just the recovery time that's probably not enough to compensate unless it's significant.
14 -
Haven't you read the whole thing? Survivors were stuck in lose/lose situation. Either drop the pallet and get hit, or continue to run only for PH to cancel his attack and M1.
There was no counter to that, how is that fair?
What are you trying to prove by posting this?
That Spirit is still an op killer?
That you only enjoy playing with broken killers that need nerfs?
Says more about you than anyone else tbh
54 -
I couldn't count the amount of times I was downed by his power because the interaction lock due to the pallet, and if I hadn't threw down the pallet, I would have gotten hit regardless because he was too close. To have the pallet be your only option of safety and then have a killer like PH make it unsafe 90% of the time was so frustrating.

Might have been stuck in a lose/lose situations but funny enough, I played against him and no one would POTD at pallets or Windows...why? Idk but it definitly wasn't a lose/lose

he still gets you at any vault and recovers faster and there will still be spots in loops you cant avoid POTD. he will still be strong and now a good PH will just body block the pallet or continue looping and repeating IF he isn't slowed down like huntress.
1 -
He was already dead, though, lmao.
1 -
That's what I think the survivor community fails to realize. If they get a killer nerfed people won't keep playing that killer. They'll just be more spirits or whoever is the current meta.
"Alright! We got PH nerfed. Now he'll be easy to bully............why am I only seeing spirits?"
21 -
Yay.
Do Slinger next.
18 -
Lmao. I love this rank 15 way of looking at the game.
Everyone with a lot of experience has always said that at the moment theres pretty much only Nurse and Spirit that are viable at the highest level. Maybe some would throw Hag or Billy in there but thats about it.
I mean we just saw a tournament with players with thousands of hours where all the “op” killers like Doctor, Freddy and even PH got completely crapped on, even Spirit was made to look weak, but sure lets ignore all evidence and claim they’re just overpowered and only exist so bad players can win.
13 -
I can only see him 2-3 rounds from 100 rounds. So, after next patch he will disappear from this game.
bye bye.
2 -
the problem is you still see a giant glowing warning on where his attack will hit. So unless you are just not paying attention you are still only going to get hits on animation lock.
Really needed to adjust the attack itself if they go through with this change, being able to spam it wont really help when its the most telegraphed attack in the game,
5 -
Let's just ignore the part where they explicitly said they're not trying to impact his strength. They're giving him a nerf to cut down on his zoning ability, which is no fun for survivors, and giving him a buff to POTD so that it's more fun for killers.
6 -
Why is this a nerf? They explicitly said this is not intended to be a nerf.
6 -
You don't compare normal DBD with tournament DBD.Those guys were playing a completely different game
12 -
They didn't nerf Pyramid Head. They removed his gimmick.
He was fun to play against until everyone learned the gimmick. They are stripping that away and buffing his ranged attack so that he can be enjoyable again.
8 -
Seems fair to me! He gets nerfed one way, but buffed another. His perks have also been given an overhaul.
If anything, he's been buffed with better perks and a quick cooldown from his PotD attack. Sure, the mind gaming is less viable, but the aggression factor increases.
Ultimately, let's be real here: People will bemoan his "nerf" until someone like Otzdarva or Monto releases a video of him being played right, and then a certain portion will start crying for nerfs again.

Lmao no they weren’t.
Genrushing swf vs camping, tunneling, NOED killers.....in the EU we call that just another day.
Being smart enough to walk out the gates instead of dying to rescue 1 person was different but besides that its the same game. Do your objective as fast as possible. The survivors on the EU server have thousands and thousands of hours, many are tournament level.
This isnt like where you watch your typical U.S streamer and its all potatoes. Bigger playerbase there. For us many of the survivors are high level, they dont mindlessley camp pallets.
4 -
They said it was to address issues coming from both sides but thats a lie as 99.9% of complaints are coming from survivors. This is being done to appease survivors, it’s going to be a net nerf.
11 -
Not possible on this forum lol

I actually see this as a good change, it increases his skill ceiling while giving his power more potential.
Lets say you succesfully hit a survivor at a loop with your power, he now gains less distance on you after being hit, which is overall a good thing.
5 -
Well i play on EU since summer 2017 and the amount of actual tournament level survivor i versed is extremely small in comparison to the rest.

The PTB isn't live yet and they've explicitly stated they do not intend to nerf PH. Survivors were of course complaining louder about him because he's currently a lot more fun to play as than to play against. That says absolutely nothing about the upcoming changes.
Why is every change and rework met with "BHVR only listens to [killers/survivors]"? They have every incentive to make sure their game is both fun and balanced. Catering only to one side does not accomplish that goal.
5 -
Every rework is to make the game balanced? Were you around for patch 1.9.2? The introduction of MoM? The nurse add on rework that also turned into a base kit nerf? The billy rework virtually no one asked for? All you have to do is look at the patch history and see these devs haven't a clue what they are doing.
2 -
If the devs decrease his M2 cooldown "considerably" then it will be a buff for any good Pyramid Head player who actually knows how to aim and predict survivor movements as it will shorten the chase duration in the long run.
Zoning takes no skill and is boring as hell so personally I can't wait for the changes.
6 -
i play on eu and i find so many damn potatoes
3 -
Apparently making a killer actually balanced is killing them.
A lose-lose situation is not balanced. You either vaulted or dropped a pallet and got hit by his power or would get hit with an M1. Now this needs to be done with Slinger.
I'm sure you can just switch to Spirit, Slinger, Freddy etc for a continued easy mode experience with killer, since you're so broke by this.
6 -
and after that? Freddy? then?
it's just a cycle of "nerf this killer" with survivors
4 -
A much needed change. Glad they did it.
1 -
Don't worry, depending on what kind of cooldown we are talking, we'll be back here after the same players who complained about getting M1'd where they would have, complain again about PH using his power too much.
0 -
I'm PH main and im happy (for now) about these changes, Since i try to use his power more than faking. But we need to wait and see how much they change the nerf and the buff for him.
2 -
BHVR: "people were just using his power for free hits so we changed it a bit"
'OMG THEY GUTTED HIM HE IS NOW WEAK WAHH"
this is the main issue people have with him, not to mention the changes aren't even live, stop being a baby
4 -
That would be super honestly.
3 -
I did prestige him to 3 but never play him and now this wow so no ds Nerf.
0 -
Imagine a killer who can mori people being so flimsy that a small change like this kills them lmao.
3 -
Do DS nerf
1 -
You can't mori them until they're dead on hook..so how is that relevant to anything.
If you were able to be mori'd you were already dead even if that feature didn't exist. Not to mention you had to get Tormented in the first place anyway.
2 -
Ah so you recognize they have another half to their kit besides downing people with PotD. It'd be a shame if people only spammed one thing over and over to compensate for their own lack of skill wouldn't you agree?
1 -
Going to be honest I main PH and I didn't know that you could use his ranged attack through those things, I pretty much never did that. I didn't really ever use it at all because of the crazy recovery time and how slow it is making it unreliable
0 -
if all you could do with him was fake your power over and over, you never really were a PH player to begin with.
he is not "dead", he is just less cheesable.
which is a good change for the overall games health, believe me or not.
and before i get angry "waah dumb survivor main!11!" comments, this is comming from a killermain. a killermain who has been playing a lot of PH aswell.
also, lets not forget about the BUFF he got in form of a cooldown reduction on successful punishments. play him the was he was intended to be played and he is stronger than ever before.
4 -
I can feel the evil just by reading this.

I know im gonna regret to ask but... Rip PH means balance a killer to give a chance to do mindgames instead a guaranteed hit with no skill?
Aham... so moving from a unfair mechanic to a unfair killer them... aham aham... understood.
Nuff said.
1 -
And what would they be spamming exactly?
0 -
So is this patch gonna do what it did to Nurse players, i.e weeding out the bad ones and the ones who are actually good will still play and do just as well? If so then I can't wait. I definitely wanna try and play him now, on paper it sounds like you actually have to try to down people with him now which I'm looking forward to. More depth and challenge by nerfing one thing but buffing another to make a killer more streamlined is always a good thing.
4 -
You must be new here, It is always like this. Last year has been killers year with too many nerfs for survivors (which is fine for me) but killer reaction to it is 'Meh' 'Ok.. not too bad'. But when killer get small tiny nerf or balance the rage wont stop, like for example some killer start typing 'rip pop' just because devs redused 15 of the timer lol. Same with 2 addons of spirit months ago they were spamming 'rip spirit'...

The difference being that a good nurse can actually control when she lands her hits. Pyramid head's attack has a huge red "I'm about to do damage here" indicator attached to it. You'd have to be brain damaged to get hit by it outside of an animation lock. PotD is about to become the most unreliable attack in the game.
But hey at least he can still waste time trying to force survivors into torment so he can send them across the map for a free rescue right?
2 -
It's in the first half of the sentence guy. You pull a Huntress and wait to they're animation locked then down. Except he doesn't need to replenish his power.
Going by the countless threads I've seen, no one thinks he has any other power because they apparently never walk on his barbed wire things.
It's like a Demo that never uses portals. They don't see much use in using them which is a crying shame.
