devs Livestream the game for 8 to 10 hours a day

once the next health update goes live, I believe it'll help with community and devs relationship if devs and community managers who's under the bhvr umbrella to live stream for 2 hour shifts and switching devs/managers for a week or two playing and sticking with one killer till all killers are showcased that the game is fine. cool? gotta keep an eye those mmr stats.

it''l show the doubters that the BHVR devs play the game.

and no, hiring non devs like otz, mish, true talent, and other live streamers don't count. it's got to be the BHVR devs playing in live streams.

The developers are already strapped for time at work, and you want their managers to squeeze out gameplay too?
Why don't you go watch the DBD Developers who stream in their spare time?

it''l show the doubters that the BHVR devs play the game.

The people who say that are not asking it as a question to be investigated, its just a tired old complaint because the internet makes it so easy to share our vapid commentary on everything, its a quip, it isn't true and it would serve no actual benefit to show them wrong, cause they will go to the next quip.

They don't care if BHVR actually plays or not, because if they did they would investigate it and find out they are wrong.
Our Community is absurd, you have to take whatever they say with a metric ton of salt.

They don't do this because they do not benefit from this.

Either they play exceedingly well and get accused of MMR tanking for the stream like content creators do already, or they play even slightly poorly and get harassed online for "not knowing what they're doing wrt game balance" as if playing the game well and balancing the game well require the exact same skillset.

I do not agree with your assessment that playing the game doesn't help you understand it. Hands on experience will always teach somebody stuff that conceptional theory does not. It's the difference between making and testing a proposition. You learn in the doing.

I doubt anyone whose job is working on a game would want to play the game. Sounds like a good way to burnout looking at the same stuff all day.

I think the main difference is DBD tries so hard to hide MMR from players, that it really just doesn’t feel like DBD cares about balance at high MMR.

For example, we were told there was a focus group for the Trickster rework. How many people in that focus group are in the top 5% of MMR? Are any of them in the top 5% of MMR, or is that demographic just not being represented at all?

Im gonna be honest something is awfully fishy about the statement you made Mandy.

No offense but high mmr is highly unstable and its faaaaar far away from being asymmetrical rng.

What im saying is, you and everyone else including me is aware that there are weaker and stronger killers in game, at avg mmr to low mmr the game is often killer sided because survivors simply dont run meta perks and they dont know map tiles or maps they did not learn pallets.

Will something ever be done to bring weaker and stronger killers to be more equal footing at higher mmr because i refuse playing nurse or blight and such to avoid tunneling.

Spreading hooks at high mmr againts cordinated squads which are running meta perks is near impossible i will say improbable for weaker killers unless they run meta perks and even then its not even close how its much more balanced in favor for stronger killers.

I know that new MMR changes are coming.

But i dont think that will fix anything.

Realistically speaking once true RNG system is added for loops on map such as tiles wont be the same or similar like they are now and so predictable the users that use vc for advantage and players with higher playtime and experience will continue to keep the game unbalanced.

That's because we consider MMR to be just a matchmaking number and not something to aim at, that was always the intention behind keeping the number hidden.
