You don't get tunnelled frequently. You are just biased.

We have video proof of how rare tunneling is in this thread

Here's my screenshot from my game I played during my lunch break. Considering how badly the basic tenets of sampling and using proper data have been butchered in this thread do I now get to claim that tunneling happens in 100% of games?
Note I even ran right behind the Claudette and body blocked twice in order to give the Killer an opportunity to not tunnel.

200 comments later and you still have things to add to this endless topic. Damn.

So let me see if I can sum up the forums here generally. Tunneling is:
- A "strategy", that you can't touch without severely reducing, if not completely removing any "play style options" for the killer.
- The most efficient and effective way to remove one player from the game, and may actually be the most effective way to outright win the game as killer.
- Completely mandatory in "high MMR" or against any SWF.
- The "only way to win" in some cases: just look at competitive DBD!
- Tunneling has been meta since the game came out.
- Removing tunneling would require insanely heavy killer buffs, or gen speeds would need to be severely nerfed for killers to "keep up".
But somehow, it's "rare" and "nobody ever tunnels" despite these being the responses in nearly every thread on these forums?
Come on.

It's definitely weird to see this really obvious contradiction in the popular narrative go unaddressed. Like, surely you can't hold both positions at once, right?

In another thread it was claimed that BHVR balances around tunneling but tunneling isn't common. That's another inherent contradiction.
