This wasnt about Unknown specifically or anything, that was just the timing. Playing Huntress is totally different from playing Nurse or Trapper even if they both hit you tho. I feel like killers are losing that distinction and we don't need 35 of them.
-
Can they make it dark again? It was so much better
-
Ah okay, so holding a player hostage is still holding the game hostage. That makes sense. It's good to know exploits are listed on the forum page and that for the most part things just get kill-switched. I would look forward to the rules being updated to be more clear. Thanks for responding.
-
Say what you will about making the game fun, but that's not really what the question is about. Ofc there is something to be said about treating people how you wanna be treated, but at the end of the day unfun shouldn't mean reportable.
-
Sorry for late reply. It could be, but I kinda doubt it. There are a ton of videos on YT talking about how they liked the old aesthetic better, and they get tons of likes and comments. I don't think it's always something people who miss old DBD go searching for either. DBD is still horror IMO, but less horror, and I don't…
-
I didn't say they would like it "most" I said it was an important aspect of DBD becoming popular in the first place. Aesthetic is important for media, but I think most people would say that gameplay is more important. Anyways, the most common opinion I've seen about the aesthetics in my experience is most players miss the…
-
It's hard to say. I think if it wasn't a dark scary asymmetrical horror it wouldn't have gotten this far. Aesthetic matters a lot when world building. I think now that it's gotten this far they can get away with changing up the original aesthetic, but I don't think it's a smart move in the long term and I don't think its…
-
I would agree that yes, perhaps it has branched out, but in doing that they have kind of backtracked on what made the game popular in the first place. I would argue it's less horror now, and more Fortnite. I'm kind of over "horror isn't supposed to be scary. Think of all the monsters walking around in day-to-day life" and…
-
It's not a bad idea, but it's not scary. If he showed up in the realm looking more like Doctor or even Trapper that would work better IMO. Even then it kinda screams of trying to appeal to the K-pop community cuz that's popular rn. He seems like he'd be more in place in an anime-style dating sim, you know, like the ones…
-
In another genre I'd agree, but not for horror. More human killers like Legion and even Plague are fair enough, but SM and Trickster IMO don't work.
-
They were a really annoying reward for many reasons. I wish we had some distinct reward that we could show off in game. Until then, this is what we got for now.
-
They would never bring back the cosmetics, but since we got the portraits I don't see an issue with special badges.
-
This is an interesting idea, what if it was basekit at the beginning so you could see the layout, then whenever a pallet is dropped you see its aura for a few seconds?
-
I want a legacy badge for the characters I hit P3 on before the prestige rework. Others can only see the characters I grinded back then if I'm streaming, so it's a bit inconsequential imo. I want something that'll show up that other players can see. Maybe a special badge for hitting prestige milestones on different…

I play both sides and lately more survivor. I miss old ruin because it was a really interesting perk. The only time I ever thought it was broken was when it was the swamp, tinkerer wasn't nerfed, and we really couldn't find the totem and the randos didn't split up. It's not like you could hit gens with ruin, basically you…
-
Of all the perks. Honestly windows is fine the way it is imo. Great beginner perk too. How would you even want it nerfed?
-
I thought most of the feedback was positive... Well as someone who isn't a fan of Chucky he just kinda feels like a lot of recycled killer mechanics. He's too short. I was never really a fan of the movies either, they're a little too cringe. I still welcome Chucky to DBD tho, he's an icon.
-
It's just cuz he's the new killer. It'll settle down on it's own eventually.
-
Of course, I think if they brought it back as a game mode they should polish up some broken mechanics, and obviously the exploits. There's a lot I miss about old DBD that I talked about, and if you didn't read that giant wall of text I made I don't blame you. TLDR: The familiarity of the perks and killers. The perks having…
-
Obviously minus some broken mechanics or bugs. If that's your opinion I respect it, but I still wanna see old DBD. Especially if it was just an option for people who did want it.
-
It's not funny... It making me very very upset.
-
That's actually not a bad point, but I think buffs like Saboteur, and Light Weight were spot on.
-
Also Ruin is dead and I miss it dearly. Not even sure it's worth being a hex.
-
Camping Bubba is the easiest thing to counter. It doesn't have much gameplay but I really don't think its that offensive. You're only on the hook for so long. You don't have to like the play style, but I still like it for the memes. It's not like camping Bubba is a common occurrence. Not really an issue.
-
I find liminal spaces very comforting. I wouldn't be against a liminal inspired chapter, especially if they can make the killer creepy. I feel like a killer for a liminal chapter could potentially be iconic and meaningful for a lot of players. Although Pyramid Head already gives me a liminal vibe, I wouldn't mind them…
-
Dude I know. I mean its nice we have multiple loadouts now, but we been waiting for a search bar for years.
-
Tunneling is not bad. Don't listen to people who make it out to be the worst moral failing of the game. Usually if you are even able to tunnel as certain killers, it's because the survivors are doing something wrong anyway. Hit and run is fine too, but in the current meta it is a little weak.
-
To me the interesting thing is how hard they nerfed Self Care, and not CoH which is much more annoying, and it's stronger. Especially if you play a hit and run killer.
-
They could be stream sniping, or getting a friend to do it. I don't have an issue with adding more measures to make it so TTVs have more fun. At the same time, as a TTV who has been targeted for being a TTV, I'm not gonna put my Twitch as my name then complain that I got attention for it. As along as they aren't breaking…
-
If it upsets you they will obviously tunnel you more, and there is nothing really wrong with that.
-
As a TTV, if you have TTV in your name you shouldn't complain about being tunneled.
-
The realm was created by the Entity, it doesn't make sense for it to look like a real world horror movie. It should look like a place you hope to escape, not hope to vibe at. Trickser's design and story are more like a K-dating sim, and that may sound weird, but this generation and especially anime fans (not the same as…
-
I don't think you are wrong, but the game is still called "Dead By Daylight" and given the Entity feeds off fear, and hope, I think it would make sense to be as gloomy as possible. It's a nightmarish otherworldly place that's MADE for people to be hunted by killers. I see what you mean by balancing though, I just feel like…
-
As I said, thought so for a while, but Skull Merchant solidified it. Legion isn't that scary, and I admitted the game itself isn't that scary. Legion does have this gritty grungy feel to them though. I don't think they are very anime or Fortnite at all, I can admit Susie, and Susie only seems a little Tiktok. I don't think…
-
Of course I play Legion. The whole DLC is very metal, and dare I say edgy, yet Susie is stated to be shy, and she looks kinda girly, even with the more gungy aesthetic. I love everything about the Legion, especially Susie. As for survivors I mainly play Cheryl, or Heather. Her lobby animation is just so relatable, and…
-
This is a good question. It could just be my imagination but I find I get more sound notifications against bots when I use overcharge, so I would say no, it does affect bots, but I'm sure someone else has a more technical answer. Mine is just a guess.
-
Try a pallet vacuum (there are tons of tutorials). You can also fake pallet drops so that when the killer gets tired of respecting you drop when they least expect it. If you're camping the pallets tho, the killer will likely respect, and you won't get the stun. :( Some killers just swing at every pallet and that makes the…
-
It's still a bad deal. Could just unlock ALL her perks in the BW by prestiging her for more value, but hey, it's not the end of the world or anything. It'll be okay. I just prefer getting the most out of my iri shards, and sometimes that means spending more BP.
-
Thanks! I'll be experimenting :D It's not much more boring than sitting on gens. I can kinda understand the argument that it's not being a good sport, but at the end of the day what matters is intention, so if someone is doing it bc it's funny, or for the memes, I can respect that. Like I don't hit on hook (unless I'm…
-
Sounds good. Face camping Bubba is iconic. Realistically, tea baggers shouldn't complain about tunneling/camping, after all, It's all fair game. Face camping Bubba is only good for the memes tho, as I said in the original post the best counter is doing gens. The best build for camping Bubba (imo) is noed, insidious,…
-
I play a ton of games and most of them don't have the same PC culture as DBD, and even then, it's only a minority of the player base. If anything's changed, things are likely more toxic. People like getting a rise out of others, and being immature, and competitive banter, and overall fooling around. The best thing you can…
-
I mean tbh, the community seems mixed on Bubba's masks. The main issue was streamers were complaining about being camped and then they got attacked in their community. Bhvr isn't responsible for what happens on Twitch, or Discord. It seemed like a controversy Bhvr just didn't wanna deal with so they removed the masks…
-
I see what you mean but, in DBD you already spend the game not doing much on gens, you're in chase, or maybe you're looking for a hex but otherwise it's mostly wasting time. It's not much different just spending a minute on hook being camped, and another minute hitting skill checks while being camped. Since camping may be…
-
It says she likely suffered from mental illness. No one in their right mind would DIE over being BMed in a video game. I am actually someone with severe depression. It's often easier to blame video games than it is to look at oneself and say "maybe I as a parent missed the signs that my kid was in this horrible place."…
-
I wouldn't let them go if I were doing an achievement or something, but I would feel horrible about it, and let them go in any other situation. It's not even about the offering as much as it is a sign of humility, and to make the game a better place I try and respect the survivor by letting them go. A little kindness goes…
-
Ah, I see what you mean. I guess you can argue that would make leveling up your grade too easy, but with the current state of the game I have to agree with you.
-
I like pips! They give me special rewards at the end of the season ;-;
-
It would absolutely be good to see if you went against a SWF in end game. That way you can be realistic about the odds not being in your favor, or you can hold yourself accountable and realize calling it a SWF is really no excuse. Although I'm not so sure it would be helpful to show who's partying up together in the lobby…
-
Define bullying? I've tea bagged at the gates as playful banter, but I'd never dogpile someone in end game chat and call them trash. In fact, when killers express that they were hurt (usually not even by that specifically), I try to relate to them and assure them. I've also been tunneled and camped, I don't complain about…
-
Meh, I didn't wanna make it a manner of banning (unless its clearly breaking ToS, like working with the killer or cheating), mostly just reducing the issues, or making them easier to go against.
