Dead by Daylight should no longer be affected by an outage. Players logging into the game between September 26 3PM ET and September 28th 3PM ET will receive 1M Bloodpoints as compensation.

Unknown. It feels incredibly fair and fun to play against, while also feeling powerful and fun to play as, as well.

DbDs matchmaking seems to be uniquely bad in this regard. I don't know if it is the asymmetrical nature of the game that causes problems, but other games, while they have problems, seem to never be as bad as DbD when it comes to making balanced matches.
-
It could be hacker, but I've had similar situations happen to myself and unless there is a huge subtle cheater problem I think it happens too much for it to all be cheaters. The fact that it happens at all though does show its not entirely on the killers connection to decide that a hit is registered. It's definitely more…
-
https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/1fjd3ps/how_did_this_person_not_go_down_after_3_hits/ This, for example. If hit validation was 100% on the killer side it would never happen.
-
If hits were entirely based on the killers perspective though there would never be an instance of a killer hitting a survivor, them screaming and bleeding, and then being uninjured
-
Honestly, if they are going to do nerfs so heavy handed that the killer becomes unplayable they should just remove them from the game until their rework and refund us any cosmetics and money spent on the killer.
-
On the topic of colourblind accessibility, do you think it would be possible to ever allow people to change the colours of certain things in the game/UI such as individual auras for better colourblind accessibility? Overwatch has something like this where you can change UI element colours and it makes the game much more…

Given that a majority of the most powerful killers are still older ones (Blight, Nurse, Huntress, Billy, ect) I don't think it's really power creep unless new killers start being even more powerful than those ones. Most of the killers that come out recently end up being mostly balanced, or even on the weaker side.

Just to correct this, because I have seen this disinformation going around here a few times. It was not charities, it was several politicians who held strong anti-LGBT views, and he never apologized and in fact he specifically said he does not apologize, and doubled down saying that he does not regret donating to them.
-
It feels a bit weird to have this thread pinned now that they announced that.
-
Given that it does nothing and doesn't notify the person get got a thumbs up I've always just ignored it as well, kinda surprising to see it be used so much.
-
That makes sense. I was genuinely shocked at first when I read that, because I feel like you can get more than 20 seconds just holding shift+w against most killers. Pig hats killing so rarely is kind of surprising too, given how high her kill rate is in lower mmr. I would have thought most of it comes from survivors having…
-
Not a huge fan. Primary complaints are the new item notifications now appearing in the character select menu and the new font size in game being too small
-
Visually, the skin is top notch, but it missing all the little details that normally makes Spirit feel unique is so disappointing. Hopefully it gets updated in the future.
-
The aura reading is not permanent. All you need to do is pick up the item and if you want to it be out of play permanently you can just drop it at a deadzone or corner, but I guess that's too hard so you need it to be nerfed, yeah?
-
Something needs to get nerfed because people are too lazy to learn the simple counterplay of picking up your items? If it does get nerfed I hope you enjoy people going back using 4 slowdown perks instead, though.
-
It's been like this since around the switch to unreal 5, it feels like. There's absolutely a noticeable delay in scratch marks and occasional large gaps their placement. It's pretty noticeable if you run fixated.
-
After the massive amount of feedback on the knight changes this is all we're getting? Really not looking forward to this update unfortunately.
-
I really wish this would happen. There were so many times during the anniversary event where I was trying to 2 hook everyone then let everyone go and I accidentally killed someone because I lost track of hook stages. Plus, if someone wants to tunnel its super easy to remember a single persons hook states, so it wouldn't…
-
Huntress Lullaby, Deception, Diversion, Red Herring, Mirrored Illusion and Call of the Brine are all perks I would love to be stronger. Perks for tricking and deceiving the killer are always fun, and having some other weaker regression perks buffed on killer would provide some much need variety.
-
Saying I don't believe you or I think you are exaggerating, or there is a negativity bias at play because no proof has been provided is not gaslighting, and it also is not gaslighting to say that someones definition of tunnelling is incorrect and differs from the agreed upon definition. It is absolutely absurd to say that…
-
In that situation saying I don't believe you, or believe you might be exaggerating or have a negativity bias because you have no presented proof is not gaslighting, no, and neither is saying someone is wrong about the definition of tunnelling. It is absolutely absurd to claim that anyone is trying to psychologically abuse…
-
I managed to get 50-300 on each killer and about 300 on my main survivor with a few random ones I play every once in a while having about 50. Should last me quite a while I hope.
-
As long as you are being disingenuous and calling everything gaslighting there is no point in having a discussion.
-
Controversial opinion I know, but I actually quite like playing as and against her (when whoever is playing her isn't going out of their way to be toxic). She's the only trap based killer with a bit of stealth, which are both my favourite types of killers.
-
You can claim it is gaslighting or any other buzzwords you want to throw around but if you define something incorrectly, especially when a definition was given in the OP people are not "gaslighting" you by saying that definition is incorrect. For example, if I claimed that a bully squad is any squad that has a flashlight…
-
Did you watch the video linked in the OP? Because there is a definition of tunnelling laid out in the video, "…going after the same person until they die.". If any definition is going to be used, it should probably that one. I don't think anyone is moving the goalposts or gaslighting by sticking to the original definition…
-
This happens to me maybe once every 2-3 days. It feels like a vast majority of the time it is after I down the final survivor. Could just be server issues honestly, but that it has never happened while I've been losing that I can recall is a bit odd. I do wonder if it is actually cheats or the servers , because I don't get…
-
So by that definition you would say that if someone get unhooked, gets healed up, hops on a gen, and they happen to be the next person the killer finds after, let's say, one minute, you think that is tunneling, even if the killer wasn't going out of their way for it? This is why people self reporting their rates of being…
-
Yeah, it is still going to be mandatory, so it isn't really much of a change. Considering how much they gutted him in this update they could have at least given us that one add-on fully base kit.
-
Same bug just happened to me, I was trying to hook someone and the moment I started hooking, someone started saboing the hook, cancelling the hook attempt and seemingly causing this. I couldn't down them, they seemed unable to attempt to get off hook and the anti face camp did nothing, no one could attempt a rescue, and…
-
The same problem has been happening to me over the past few days. Everyone in the lobby gets DC'd with this error and gets a penalty. No network interruptions in any other games, in call, watching videos, ect, just DBD.
-
Are hook suicides counted?
-
Both sides do have a chance to win, at least at higher MMR. In higher MMR survivors are favoured even, so it isn't a matter of the game being imbalanced. The problem is that some players give up at the mildest inconvenience and that ruins the rest of the game for every single other player, except the killer if they just…
-
The problem of there only being a few viable addons could easily be solved with more rebalancing of them, no need to scrap them entirely.
-
Being on hook isn't supposed to be fun, it is literally a punishment for getting caught. If you are on hook your teammates come and unhook you, it's as simple as that. If you really would like something to do while you are on hook you could have skill checks that give additional bloodpoints if hit but don't kill you if you…
-
Hopefully people who purchased Demo on their don't lose him.
-
People who don't want to DC don't have to then, no one is forcing them to DC. You keep going on about player agency but you haven't made any point about player agency because the player still HAS agency, they can simply choose to DC or not, they just have to deal with the punishment that comes along with DCing.
-
Double post
-
How does taking away the ability to suicide on hook take away player agency? They can literally just DC if they want to leave. If they want to sandbag or AFK they can be reported and punished. Sandbagging is against the rules, so they would be punished for it.
-
I mean I guess you could play her as a basic m1 killer with a teleport power that is worse than Freddys but that isn't really viable. She's absolutely the worst killer in the game unless you play her in the condemned way.
-
So instead of implementing a simple solution like making you unable to suicide on hook they should rework the entire game and fundamentally change it instead?
-
Remove the ability to suicide on hook and let them DC normally? They aren't forced to play that way but if they keep doing it every game they will be punished for it.
-
Remove the ability to suicide on hook and let them DC normally?
-
Until Sadako gets some buffs that is the only really viable way to play her.
-
>The best way to fix suicides (or any other base mechanic without removing it) is to heal as many reasons why people make decision to suicide as possible. The problem is people will suicide on hook over the smallest things. It is literally impossible to please some people. >Let them leave my game, please, I want finish it…
-
So if they remove killing themselves on hook they can still DC, they will just have to deal with the penalty that comes with that.
-
I genuinely don't understand why it is hard for people to not rage quit. Why queue up for a team based game if you are going to just intentionally throw the game and ruin it for your team.
-
That kind of sounds like are intentionally throwing the game because it didn't go the way you wanted.
-
I'm just surprised there are still no balance changes for Sadako or Twins. How long has that Twins rework been in the works now?
