Thanks for confirming. Sorry I was probably asking a really obvious question 😀
-
Sorry if this is a silly question, but the changes that are being made from what was on the PTB, they haven't been tested on the PTB, right?
-
Without killers, who would survivors have to endlessly taunt, loop, vault and teabag at the exit gates 😀
-
The amount I,am seeing of survivor mains trying to convince killer players this is still a decent perk is unreal. If it truly was a buff, you would not see so many survivor players trying to convince you otherwise for one. Let's just, and at least be honest & respectful with each other
-
Ultimately the gen rush meta completely ruins this game for killers. If you want to stop it, something needs to be done about chases too. Any half decent survivor can loop, vault and stun a killer for 2 gens easy. Next chase, 2 more gens. Do the maths.
-
I took a break for a few months and glad I did. I'm now learning a new killer, which has been tough but fun.
-
I'm a killer main who is disappointed about todays announcement. However I'm staying and enjoying learning The Mastermind. Anyone have any tips :)
-
I cannot agree for one second that the game is perfectly balanced, especially at higher levels. But clearly our opinions are different and that's ok.
-
In my experience and what I've seen, when survivors and killers are at similar levels, it's mostly a survior win. Hence why balancing is so poor at the higher levels. Gen speeds are still really quick, and chases are not incentivised due to strong loops, pallets etc.
-
Ideally killers wouldn't "need" so much gen defence but that is where we are.
-
Two points A) Pain Res is in no way a buff. 4 hooks, on 4 different survivors all on a scourge hook early game... come on people, let's be real. In terms of practical usage it's a nerf from current state B) I don't think there was a real worry that the healing proposal would make gen rush worse. Its already awful, but most…
-
Thanks for putting it like that. Made sense. I do disagree on your assessment of the other regression perks, and I don't see how the changes addess the gen rush meta, but that's ok.
-
Thanks for clarifying. Yeah, my main worry is the overall nerf to gen defence. The one area that needs a buff id say. But let's see how the game plays once it goes live.
-
Sorry what I meant was the nerfs to gen defence now outweigh the nerfs to survivors, so this update hits killers worse than survivors I fear. Especially given the current balance.
-
Have I understood this correctly? Healing nerfs (or some of them) reversed, but killer nerfs stay? So overall killers will still be worse off again after the update. Please tell me the DH nerf stays!
-
It isn't. But we have to nerf that gen defence eh.
-
I agree with this. But unfortunately in my experience most survivors have a much broader view of the definition of tunneling
-
Its a consequence of how much survivor is easy mode and unbalanced.
-
I tend to agree, except we all know the devs will cave to the pressure and reverse most, if not all of the healing changes (while still gutting gen defence).
-
Unfortunately, because the game becomes more and more survivor sided the "higher up" you go, most killer players will eventually get to a point where getting someone out the game as soon as possible is not only the best way to win, but sometimes the only way to win. Since the word tunneling is used rather loosely by…
-
Shhhh or they'll nerf it again. Killer players aren't allowed to have nice things:) Seriously though, glad your finding use of it. I've found it less than useless since the changes, so might give your load out a try if that's cool.
-
It won't. Killer nerfs will remain, but the healing nerfs will be reversed don't worry.
-
When I said easier to play I meant easier to win. I see your point as regards to the higher levels.
-
By the way, you clearly disagree with me. But thank you for respectfully disagreeing 😀
-
Fair question. I play both sides and find survivor so much easier and less stressful. To summarise. The amount of pallets, loops, and windows, alongside gen speed, healing in its current state, and perk choice, to me, means it isn't hard to play survivor well. And the points above are conversely why killer is more…
-
With these proposed changes. Hard to say without seeing it myself, but I'd say around moderately survivor sided, and today I'd say the game is between moderately and very survivor sided. Again, my experience and opinion. Be kind 😀
-
Sorry quoted you in the wrong reply. You make a good point here that is what I was trying to say, but you put it much better than I.
-
I'm agreeing with you. Purposely ruining someone's fun is not on. For any reason. What I was trying to say is that people often assume the way a killer is playing is them trying to do just that. When they are not. Both sides regularly play in a way that compromises the other sides fun. It's unfortunate but probably a…
-
I should add. If someone goes out of their way to make someone else's game miserable that's bad form and I don't condone that. But you also have to respect that both sides can never both get what they want. And fun is subjective. I've seen plenty to say that survivors primary goal is their own fun, and same for killers. So…
-
You have to ask the question, why do killlers seek to get one player out the game as soon as possible? Added to the fact that people tend to use the word tunnelling for any situation where the killer doesn't go out his way to totally ignore someone they may have already hooked.
-
Problem is that the word tunneling tends to be used quite liberally
-
Difficult to quantify in a number, if that's what you mean. But that's certainly my opinion and experience.
-
A glimpse into the gen rush past and present really. It's already happening.
-
Out of curiosity, if you could instantly implement any 3 changes to the game, what would you do?
-
I'm not ignoring them. I'm saying that taking all the changes into account, the game is still survivor sided. Just maybe slightly less so than before, but thats not a bad thing. As I said, the healing nerfs are a step in the right direction though.
-
Only if you think tunnelling is an issue I suppose.
-
"If" tunneling exists, and then only its most extreme form, I don't think the current changes will make it any worse (or better). Gen speeds mean people want some semblance of a win. Getting someone on 3 hooks quickly is the easiest way to do so.
-
At least now you won't be gen rushed by fully healed survivors constantly :). So this is good news.
-
Gen speeds and pallets aren't being touched and gen defence is being nerfed. So the game remains survivor sided, but a small step in the right direction.
-
Visual updates and the auto bloodweb are huge improvements in my opinion. Looking forward to those.
-
I'll play more. Finally something that shifts the game slightly back towards balance and away from being so survivor sided. Well done devs.
-
Thanks friend. Appreciate you taking the time to help.
-
Just don't play Demon in this game. If you think dbd is survivor sided, imagine if 90% of your dbd killer game you are flying around passively as a disembodied entity, having to collect orbs in order to do anything, with your only ability being aimlessly setting useless traps or possesing (which is also pointless) And the…

If I know I'm not as good as I think I am, can I still complain?
