Well, he may not have been GONE-gone, but considering how rare Demo became after he was pulled off the shelves, we all missed him!

A long time after this comment, but legitimately, this came out of a dream. I refined some concepts while conscious, but the general idea came from sleeping.

I'm gonna be absolutely honest with you, No Saviour is intended to play along with the "Carry Build"TM, where you use Iron Grasp, Mad Grit, and Agitation, leaving you to be a bit of a spooky man, or even skulking away with your prey if you use Knock Out for whatever ungodly reason.

I could see both ends of the spectrum. Some would abuse it to bait-and-switch with Killers they know how to play, but others would do it for the memes and the fun times. Or if they had a really good game and want to live it again.

If the calculations are right, either Nurse is gonna be on cooldown after that third blink for a whopping SEVEN SECONDS, or NEARLY TWENTY seconds, which sohnds entirely bonkers crazy.

So don't get me wrong, Demo has great addons. The problem is that a lot of those addons are either inferior to the effects of other addons that are MORE COMMON, or have niche uses. Demo has some FANTASTIC addons, but largely, he still has quite a few mostly-pointless ones.

Excellent? Half of Demo's addons are still borderline useless outside of niche use cases, a brown is still one of his best addons, and Huntress still has crappy hatchet addons. I'm expressing a cautious optimism, but I don't think BHVR will do more good than harm.

The one way I see this working is if Boons have strong effects, but can only be applied to Hex Totems, transforming them into a Boon Totem, but leaving the Hex effect active on top of that. Then the Killer has to make the choice of sabotaging their own Hex to be rid of the Boon, or leave it up to use Devour Hope or Ruin…

That last one is godlike, can confirm as a totally-real-beta tester.

Honestly, just buff solo queue to SWF level by granting everyone comms, and you'll have free reign to buff Killers to match. Since SWF won't matter one bit with open comms for Survivors, Killers across the board will be much more viable to get buffs.

And that is the problem, methinks. You try to see the good in people that do these things, but unfortunately, DBD changes people. It shapes them into horrible people, even if only while they play. Nobody knows what it is, or why it is, but this is the effect the game has on people.

As a Killer Main, unfortunately, that's just the state this game is in at this point. Nobody likes getting steamrolled time and time again, and for most Killers, this is their reality. They play the game, expecting to at least get a decent match out of it, but then they get toxic tryhard sweatlord SWF meta build clicky…

Okay, this sounds like a meme, but a Killer whose power is based around carrying and using Survivors as weapons against their friends sounds kinda awesome, not gonna lie.

The one thing you're wrong about is everyone starting the same. The devs have gone on-record to say that MMR was doing work in the background MONTHS before going live. Everything else, though, I agree with, at least partially.
