So I was going to look into this at some point, but conveniently enough he made a youtube video covering this experiment with 2 others that he did just to see how it all went on average, mainly to make a point that the game is mostly 'balanced' in a convoluted and twisted way. This thread and Otz's video has given me a lot…

These answers so far are extremely varied. I both love and hate that.

I’m of the belief that everything has a reason behind it and that it can be broken down into smaller things, and that includes subjective experience. But yes, they are free to answer it how they want. I simply gave my opinion that a more descriptive answer can be made, which they can ignore if they want.

You guys should probably keep in mind that someone can still have a reason behind their subjective idea of fun. , People aren’t obligated to share those reasons, but actually sharing them is the point of op’s question anyway, so if you don’t want to share a reason, it’s better not to say anything. This is most likely.…

Oni and Pig are pretty much always fun for me. Apart from those two, sometimes Hillbilly, Legion, Nurse, and on a good day, Blight. I know this isn't part of the question, but a game in of itself is pretty much always fun if you know you performed well, though tbh I'm still slowly getting over the times of really stupid…

In my mind, the only two probable reasons a bubba plays like that are these: bubba is lazy and bubba just wants a free kill for a challenge or something bubba wants to take enjoyment out of the game for others, because bubba knows that it is an easy and infamous way of doing so Sure, you can call them a made up concept in…

I keep repeating myself when I say it's not about winning or losing according to the game. I'm not way in my feelings over that specifically. I don't care about that aspect anymore and I haven't for a while. I'm a way better killer than I am a survivor. Again, what I care about is wasting fun. What I care about are people…

We know how to beat it, and we can beat it. That's not what this is about. It's about a significant amount of players not wanting to go up against people who actively want to ruin fun. It's not about winning or losing according to the game. It's about the fact that campers have fun by ruining the entire experience for…
-
That's essentially what it boils down to, yes, it is a standard I hold myself to. Also, given that in 99% of the game I play survivor I'm a swf, it is a personal problem of mine when it negatively affects the friends I play with. It brings down the mood because we're all of the mindset that killers don't HAVE to be like…
-
So then, are contradictions fun?
-
The funny thing is, I'm not even a survivor main. I play killer and survivor equally, and I've noticed really annoying imbalances on both sides. On top of that, at the end of the day, I'm still going to have more fun playing as killer because I'm someone who does better when working alone.

I initially made this thread as an opinion piece made on morality. To me, as well as to a solid group of other players I'm guessing, the thought of someone who enjoys making the game boring/unfun for others with nonstop facecamping is not a nice one, because in my own opinionated and morally driven experience (which should…

you're missing the distinction between a win according to the game and what everyone else thinks, and a win according to a troll who wants to upset people
-
what is the cause of the engagement and fun?
-
what makes a game engaging and fun to you?
-
I agree with this mostly, but it's hardest to do this in situations of things like killers tunneling and camping survivors.
-
But does winning by ruining others' fun necessarily HAVE to be how this kind of game works? Do you think the general player base will keep playing if it stays like this, especially if an alternative game comes out that sees it as bad gameplay?
-
I don't mean to come across that way...I am asking what you mean when you say toxic because people have different interpretations of it, as this guy made pretty evident: The things you and he both mention are things that some people will end up doing regardless, and I feel you should be aware of that, and it won't help…
-
I read what you said, and reread it. They body block you and blind you, and you have a problem with that. Why are those things toxic to you? What does the word toxic mean for you?
-
What makes the first things you mentioned toxic in your eyes?
-
When I'm pig I try not to do that all the time because I know how mean it is. To be more specific, on the occasions that I do target those with the traps on, I still make sure I give them the time to go around to at least two or three of the boxes and distract myself with other survivors and gens in the mean time. I can't…

Why not just separate them entirely, have 4 purps and 2 yellows?
-
Are the devs actively keeping up with this thread?
-
Yeah I should have clarified, it's only in lobbies.
-
I see, thank you...I looked it up multiple times and couldn't find it anywhere.

Here's the thing about perks like this. Sure, call them an incentive for not camping, but honestly that's a pretty low-set bar to begin with. Coupled with the fact that all perks are optional to have on any killer, arguing solely for that incentive is like supporting killers who say "I NEED to have a perk like BBQ and…
