Honestly, don't care about what others did. I just came up with this during my day and decided to share it. Didn't have anything greater in mind.
-
I don't see how my rework encourages tunneling since you need to hook a survivor for the first time to gain a token. Meaning you have hook a survivor that you haven't hooked before to gain a token, like BBQ. Adrenaline is not fine, mate. It's either a dead weight since you'll die before final gen or an overkill because you…
-
Big Oof to you my friend.
-
Me too I just think they're both outdated. Adrenaline is either a dead weight or a f you to the losing killer. And NOED is just outdated.
-
That's why you should choose very carefully when to activate it. Also I said with the least progress so that you can instantly go and chase people of the last unblocked gen and maybe even camp. What I was trying to go for is extreme high risk - high reward. But it seems I failed somewhere along the way. And I dare call my…
-
That's where MMR comes into play. If they want to play sweaty in a casual mode they will be playing with people like them.
-
It goes through walls... so yeah... That's just how it works.
-
That's what I've actually been asking of you, a great counter argument. And I honestly agree with the points you're making.
-
Sweaty players would be at the top of the MMR rating as long as you're actually playing i. e. not chasing for kills or escapes but time well spent, sweaty players shouldn't be an issue.
-
That's actually examples of fun from survivor POV. From killer it's the opposite. I use noed only on Twins as part of the endgame build, because I don't care about improving as them, so I get max of 6 hooks (if I get really lucky) and if survivors didn't do the bones it's not really my problem right? And DH is really…
-
That's not really the fault of developers and more of a fault of the higher-ups in BHVR, wouldn't you agree?
-
I think they should do it. MMR in its current state is almost perfect for casual matches, but extremely awful for competitive players.
-
Also we shouldn't forget the tight deadlines that BHVR works in.
-
Or a quiet minority/majority of people who play in their own pleasure. We may never know.
-
Never said that realization of MMR was good FYI.
-
Can't argue with either of you.
-
Huh... Forgot to add that ranked MMR would be shown to you. Strange I forgot to mention something so important, thanks for reminding me!
-
While listening to the community is a community is a good thing, devs shouldn't become their Puppet. Also fun is subjective stop weaponizing this term to make your argument more compelling. Fun and good game design is not the same.
-
But this happens now. Devs won't do anything about that because game is supposed to be casual. If competitive mode to be added they would have to put more work into balancing and precautions against all that you've mentioned.
-
It's the same thing, mate. They promised and delivered but ######### up in realization.
-
Are they punished iff they're playing with people like them who want to win using any means necessary? They're punished by a game design that is was created with a casual game in mind. So obviously it would have balance issues on the competitive front.
-
That's why I said that there should be a competitive mode added? Did you read my post fully or did you stop at one point because you think I'm dumb cuz I have a different to yours opinion?
-
The difference is DBD is trying to improve their flaws (emphasis on trying). While Fortnite just throws money at buying lisences to sell more cosmetics.
-
MMR is different for each killer, so you can make silly builds and play casually on killers that you don't care about improving.
-
I tried several times to come up with something, but I honestly have no idea what happens in their brains to do this. (I'm playing both sides)
-
Your honestly come off as a person blaming the game, because you yourself made a mistake.
-
It's supposed to achieve balanced matches for casual players. But the realization is not great.
-
I stood up irl to applaud you for this post.
-
3 of my replies didn't come through... Fourth try at rephrasing. Or maybe they're just a quiet small/big part of the community that plays in their own pleasure and comfort.
-
My 2 replies didn't come through for some reason so I'll try to rephrase them. Or maybe they're just a quiet small/big part of this community that just plays in their own pleasure without the need to 'win'.
-
Or a quiet minority/majority of players who are being overshadowed by competitive players. We may never know.
-
Never said anything about how it was implemented.
-
Nice point. Don't specify to what specifically you're disagree with. Just type hard disagree and everyone should understand my point. That's why I hate these forums, barely any constructive criticism.
-
Doesn't DBD tries to imitate 80's horror movie? If it does then killer should be the dominant role and survivors need to sweat to survive, like any 80's horror movie.
-
Or let us disable the ######### filter. We're not in kindergarden. This game has mature ratings so why the ######### are you treating us like we're kids?
-
Range add-ons for Executioner are the only good add-ons for him tho. Agree with everything else.
-
Perks that target certain killers are awful and shout be even considered(talking about Wake Up) in everything else it's an interesting list of ideas
-
His is outdated, but if watched first movie you would understand my point better. Killer and perk wise Halloween is better than Nightmare On Elm Street.
-
Waking up when hit with adrenaline is actually realistic, so why won't you be deep wounded after getting up. BTW I too think that you should not wake up cuz of it.
-
Why are you getting salty, mate? I can't have my own opinion? Most of the time you're not playing ranged killer, and even if you are, they can still dodge you. Plus I never said "any chance" I only said almost any chance. You can still down and camp someone, but it's hard to do in the endgame. And although this game is…
-
NOED is a second chance perk, while adrenaline removes almost any chance for killer. They are opposites to each other. I get it. Then I think it should give you deep wound if you get up from dying state. Cuz real adrenaline does not remove your wounds. But since it a game we can at least make it somewhat believable.
-
Acrually it's opposite of NOED, NOED is a second chance perk for killer. Adrenaline is a no chance to killer perk. OK, OK. Then I think it should give you deep wound if you get up from dying state. Cuz let's be honest real adrenaline doesn't remove your wounds, but since it's a game we can at least make something…
-
I just think it's dumb that survivors get very strong bonus when they're already winning. And making it weak makes it OK, it can be very strong and survivors already have enough perks like that.
-
Halloween is awesome. Shape is one of the best killer adaptations, and almost all perks are great. And map was a great horror movie set, awful in terms of balance, but awesome in details.
-
Nightmare on Elm Street is the worst DLC, change my mind. The only good thing in it are some perks.
-
I should've clarified, but he came to stream just to ask why did he camp and tunnel. I don't know if calmly asking a person why he did that is a harassment, but many things are considered harassment nowadays. He blew up only because of that statement.
-
He was salty af. I don't think I'm allowed to post anything he said on these forums
-
I think it's OK to camp tunnel if the game is over and you're losing hard, but not at the start of the game
-
Side question: Underground Complex gen repair achievement(can't remember the name),how can it be transformed into a generic one?
-
I'm pretty sure there's some bugs going on with map offerings, not too long ago I played Pig and survivors wanted to go to the game, but we played on Ormond instead.
