Because its safer for the game to handle that, then the user force closing the game. The game can at least do some background actions that way. For example, log that the user purposefully left the game.

I am someone who usually enjoys the grind in games. But even for me the rift is not appealing in the slightest. The BP for challenges is great, but the rewards for the tiers are very unappealing. There just isnt enough motivation to care about it.

I think legion is the type of killer that would make use of technology. I suggest give them a bunch of cameras they can set up around the map that will trigger when a player is spotted. That kind of thing would suit legion.

What are you talking about? There is a bleed out feature when you are in the dying state. Do you mean you want to be able to press a button to instantly die? If you are disconnecting because of bad internet then de-pips are the least of your worries. Wait until the ban timer kicks in... Also, dont worry about rank so much. Enjoy the lower ranks while you still can. Nothing but pain awaits you at the higher ranks.

Not the only solution. Each DC could reduce the number of gens required to power the gates. Can also do the same for killer and reduce emblem requirements accordingly. And increase BP for everyone by say 25%.

Too many factors. The penalty needs to work exactly how it does now, otherwise it will be abused and makes it pointless. I will agree that some of the penalty times are very excessive. I think a maximum 1 or 2 hour penalty is more than enough to put 99% of people off from disconnecting.

The AI would end up being dumb and easy to manipulate. For example, what should a killer do when it gets a noise alert? Investigate? Then you could just have someone loop the map and fast vault everything. The devs just couldn't pull it off.
