cool so if 1% of players do a bad thing the other 99% of players get to lose out on something as well because you guys still don't have a decent report system. looking forward to you guys caving in over the future twitter mob over bubba's Pretty Lady skin being "transphobic". remember: it's never enough! yes, just wearing…

>The mentality this game and community seems to promote is something i very much dislike. It's an asymmetrical game. It's factually unbalanced and im tired of people trying to prove or assume it is balanced. There are too many perks and killers to make the game balanced now, i think the director said this in an interview…
-
feel like if you're gonna nerf a killer i bought into the ground i should be entitled to some kind of refund. i'd be fine with auric cells even.
-
at this point i don't understand why killer is even a thing anymore, just make killers bots and make the game survivor only. the only thing i can think of is that someone at BHVR gets off to dumping on people who play killer.
-
the "games as a service" model was designed by literal sociopaths for this reason, so you feel obligated to play no matter how burnt out you get because you're "missing out". so it's funny for Cote to have disingenuously said stuff like "go play Civ!" while his game is advertising exclusive content you'll miss out on…
-
can i buy pot from you
-
the game is really fun when everyone isn't sweating. they really need to refocus it, everyone sweating for 4k/4 escape just leads to everyone being asshoIes to each other and trying to make the experience as miserable as possible for the other side.
-
i don't disagree about Spine Chill being good but telling someone to run a perk to counter a killer using a specific item when you have no knowledge of what killer you're facing is lol
-
"just run this one perk forever even if it's not against SM Myers" is lol advice SM Myers is a meme build, it's fun to play against because it's so different. he can come up at you out of nowhere but has no chase which is the tradeoff for his jumpscare ability. "just run this perk bro" is stupid advice because you don't…
-
i'm sure you'd love it if every killer ignored their only advantages and mindlessly chased and roamed while you m1 gens for 4 minutes and get an escape with zero effort
-
camping and tunneling is increasingly becoming something you have to do as a killer because of how survivor sided the game is.
-
it seems like with him you need strong anti-gen perks because tbh during chases he's not bad, his core issue is one that he shares with most other killers with bad mobility on massive maps that have no business being so large. given his ability to down i've seen streamers gravitate to PGTW which makes sense. he might just…
-
i think it's just possible people haven't gotten him nailed down yet and BHVR is waiting for that before making any balance changes. like i definitely see him getting a couple of small buffs and QoL type things. his only real downside is one a lot of other killers have, a lack of map pressure, but i guess that can be…

no one is entitled to "representation".
-
he's a braindead fanboy, ignore him
-
why not African British or African German or African Chinese??? this how i feel on the inside!
-
tbh some kind of new "roguelike" mode like this could be really interesting. Killers with randomized powers/perks, survivors hardcoreing it, etc.
-
by this logic it's not fair that survivors can't win if they don't do gens, so gens should just autocomplete and the game teleports them to the exit so they don't have to worry about being chased and you would STILL complain it's not enough no. git gud, stop whining.
-
this is the killer equivalent of "just pressure gens bro lmao"
-
so basically that's more surface area to calculate collision meaning more accurate collision?
-
yes the difference between attacking/defending in overwatch is so vast it's literally exactly like DBD! not even reading the rest of your garbage post if that's your opening argument lmao
-
lmao dude just pressure 4 survivors and every single gen at the same time like dude lmao it's so easy
-
love how video games are a job now
-
anything a killer does to even the odds is "toxic" flashlight spamming and teabagging aren't toxic though because survivors do it
-
i don't really understand the argument of RNG or whatever insisting the game doesn't need to be balanced. you guys do understand that the more the game caters to survivors and the less fun it gets playing killer the longer queues get and the worse matchmaking gets, right? if one role of the game is fundamentally unfun and…
-
poor people should just buy more money.
-
uhhh survivors control the game not killers lol
-
DBD isn't "literally any multiplayer game". it's an asymmetric game, but one with a flawed design where the team that should be weaker (survivors) is stronger than what is advertised as the "power role" and one side completely dictates the flow of the game. in CSS, the CTs don't have more power than the Ts. in Overwatch,…
-
in theory but again, DG totally bombed. also not sure what the agreement between BHVR and the license holders is - does BHVR pay up front or do they get a cut of each individual sale of DLC? also has to do with the way the brand is perceived, DG bombed and tbh DBD isn't doing too hot right now either so.
-
outside of the post-reset grace period where i'll get a couple of more even games i pretty much refuse to touch killer until matchmaking is fixed. it's even more apparently survivor side when i play lvl 40+ decked out survivors at rank 12+ versus 16-20 rank killers with 1-2 perks, it's ridiculous. i really don't care if my…
-
i like this idea but i can already see toxic surv mains just running around to find the killer to end the warmup period as fast as possible.
-
or maybe both. or have it trigger per hook would make it more active. i.e. on hook, 1/2/3 (per time survivor has been hooked) gen(s) are blocked for the duration the survivor is hooked, preferring the closest gen that is actively being worked on, otherwise it's random. when a sacrifice occurs, selected gens are blocked for…
-
not the way rights work. negotiation was for the character's appearance in DG, they weren't given a waiver to use the Terminator in everything and anything. in theory the lines of communication are already open so it'd be simple to get another opportunity but with how badly DG failed idk. there's also the fact that the…
-
aura reading only goes so far. you need tools to deal with chases more than anything else. especially when more and more gens get done, the number of places survivors could be reduces so aura perks get less and less useful the longer the game goes on.
-
i had a game vs trapper where, and i am not BSing you, we popped 3 gens at the same time at the beginning of the game. this was after i, as Jake, sabotaged a hook to do my challenge. by the time we got those gens done (and after i sabo) he managed to get a single hook. this wasn't SWF and at least in my case wasn't just…
-
i saw people saying on reddit any dc during a loading screen doesn't count, only ingame.
-
DC penalty is like "our house is on fire, i think we could use some new cutlery" lmao
-
at this point without a hard course correction this game is going to go the route of Death Garden. i just don't see bandaid changes like "ruin nerf" solving the issues.
-
i know it's standard stuff but have you looked into your network at all? any issues in other games? forwarded ports? have you tried redownloading the game on your platform of choice to make sure your install isn't corrupted somehow?
-
the problem is the way the game is set up right now. the end goals are unrealistic and lead to people doing everything in their power to make the game as unfun as possible for the other side. 4k/4 escape should be something that happens occasionally like a pentakill in League, not the end all be all goal. if 2k was the…
-
that doesn't matter, video games are a job in 2020 and making the game fun apparently isn't BHVR's job
-
my only issue with this is that it also puts you in a bad position too. it's not gonna be long until they're able to just kamikazee gens with self-care if you aren't playing someone with expose/aoe like Myers/Leatherface. playing Wraith or Trapper this quickly becomes a sort of war of a thousand cuts that you can very…
-
i'd like this too because then maybe there'd be a place for sweaty tryhards to do all their body blocking/infinite looping/mega blinking and then a place for people who are just learning or just want to have fun.
-
seems you don't understand what the term "account for" means. Sad!
-
to add to this i wish matchmaking would also account for your character level as well. really not fun going up against fully kitted out survivors with a level 1 killer.
-
he'll probably get nerfed but some of it is people need to adjust to how to loop him, it's different from other killers
-
the focus of the game being escaping/4k and the "win state". i don't know how they'd do it but some kind of refocusing the scope of the game so that it's more about the meat of the game (chases/stalking) would really help. because as it stands with such static and difficult win conditions the game revolves around each side…
-
doesn't work in the end unless you're playing Leatherface or Myers something. they can just mob the gen and win out in the end. you whack one, they go off and self-heal. you try to chase, they just mob the gen and do it anyway or run to another gen. in the end survivors win that war of attrition unless you're playing…
-
>They have not adressed these issues, so killers that aren't god tier now suffer. yeah it especially sucks because i'm trying to learn killer and try out new killers and level them and i'm not high ranked but keep getting put up against red rank survivors that know every single perfect loop spot and have memorized the maps…
-
this is kind of a core issue with the game. it never really feels skill based, it's half luck and half abusing things that are oversights or just poorly designed.
