Online response is also one of the few ways to determine the response of an audience. I cannot think of any one company that when faced with a pushback like this hadn't released an official statement. This could even be "we think this is the right way forward for dbd so you need to accept it" so people can decide what they…
-
Do you want to bet that if they released the real, without any doctoring, kill rates they were at least at 50% before this patch? They DECIDED to boost kill rates, and the pushback is really strong. This CANNOT be ignored, it would be a PR disaster to ignore this kind of feedback.
-
Not for this kind of pushback, this is the biggest pushback I have ever seen in DBD. Being quiet and weathering the storm is not the right call here, hiding and waiting is not the right call. At this stage i would be happier for them to come out and say if they are ok with the results of the changes and the feedback.
-
I understand you need to speak the PR language, although it is very clear that this patch did NOT have the results that you were expecting. Time is at the essence of making the right call and not responding to the feedback provided is not a good sign. I know you can just report back to the rest of team, but still NOT…
-
I can't understand how you don't see that if the majority is unhappy with some changes that something needs to be done, then we can discuss what could be done, but as it stands this patch is NOT a success in any way shape or form like you claimed. You may like it, and I am happy if you do, but this patch has created lots…
-
You are trying to reduce the problem to other survivors being bad, that's not what is happening. The patch was made under the assumption that by making gens slower and chases faster killers would play easier builds and avoid camping, tunneling and slowdowns, this did NOT happen. A lot of people are GENUINELY disliking the…
-
Come on man, I know you are fanatical about protecting killers but calling this patch a success when a large number of the majority of the player base (survivors) are unhappy with the changes is a stretch even for you. This patch is the most complained about I have ever seen and I have been playing DBD since November 2018.…
-
It is a terrible patch for survivors (the vast majority) that is gatekept by the killer zealots on the forum. Everyone can see that the patch is controversial and it is causing a lot of complaints even on this killer-sided forum.
-
yes pls! PS how do I pronounce Karu? is it Ka-roo?
-
and also medkits severely nerfed (or even removed)
-
A clear way to really punish camping and tunnelling (as promised) Solo survivors better communication and buffs gens back at 80 seconds COH removed or nerfed into oblivion
-
thank you!
-
No, the devs arbitrarily buffed killer to try and combat the decline of dbd. In doing so they created the worst patch ever and made the experience for a survivor terrible. These changes (some of them) will be reverted, this is 100% GUARANTEED. They are annoying their golden goose (80%) of the players in a match. And…
-
very true , it has been very rough :(
-
I don't know Sluzzy, they reverted the pallet/flashlight stun very quickly back in the days and the storm was less than what it is right now. I can't see BHVR continuing with this nonsense when the vast majority (survivors) are so unhappy about the game. I am expecting a quick change to this nonsense, if not I will stop…
-
ah true I forgot it is also individual MMR, so I might also be in the lower one :(
-
sure that also works. I just normally lose to blight so I hate versing him. But I am happy to just get nurse reworked
-
about 10-15 in the EU server (London) and my mmr is probably fairly average so I should be in the biggest pool
-
eh Sluzzy, because the queue times for killer are too long so I either play survivor or I don't play the game, but I am too addicted ! But yes, if I don't see some quality of life changes THIS week I will give up
-
Nurse and blight need a complete rework, as they stand they are just too strong
-
eh I am afraid it is still designed to keep the game grindy ... facepalm
-
I see thank you for the info. I think nurse should be a priority without dead hard, they went together perfectly and now one is finally gone and it is time for the other to go too
-
Holy cow... I am so upset about the grind I played 2000 hours of this game and there is so much I am still missing. I have never seen a company like this one
-
you tell me... I only have Nancy prestiged, no other survivor. I never thought it was worth it but most of my survivors are level 50 with most perks... paying 50k each is just a tragedy
-
More days have passed and still no response after the OP prove that the rebuttal from Peanits was not accurate. What is BHVR doing? The grind is absolutely terrible and this update is just not sufficient. Can we have a legitimate response?
-
Can we have some official statements? The math proved that the grind, is AT BEST 50% better if you optimise all the steps but ON AVERAGE way less than that. Plus we are losing the BP bonus from BBQ and WGLF and there is a prestige tax to pay (pretty hefty 50.000 BP which are roughly 2.7 of my average survivor games) So the…
-
You can still have a good killer who doesn't break the rules of the game. Nurse can be strong, but in line with the current rules. You cannot have a killer who can, largely, ignore maps. She can be as good as blight, or spirit, but her current skillset is game breaking and it needs to go.
-
exhaustion and gen progress perks can go too, hopefully they will (with exception of head-on because it is nowhere near the others) See? what you just said literally confirms the point "She is one of the only ones that can counter "modern" dbd where everything is hold W pre drop pallet, you want less killer players." If…
-
The grind needs to be 1/10 of what it is PLUS the hook mechanic with its camping and tunnelling needs to disappear
-
yes this combo needs to be addressed and I am sure the devs will eventually adjust the overbuffs soon. No one wants something as boring as the old legion back. They just need to change their power
-
I agree, looping, camping, tunnelling and gen rushing are ALL aspects that should be removed. This has nothing to do with how boring are games with the new legion.
-
Thank you Aven, this is exactly my point. This new Legion feels like the OG one in the sense that you just want to give up and go to the next match hoping it's not Legion again. It is unhealthy
-
I was thinking the same. This mending situation is just ridiculous. It is not fun gameplay, versing current legion is like sitting on a cactus for hours. Just injure survivors and thats it
-
They might be ok strength wise but they have recreated a similar situation of OG Legion. You can't have a killer that just want to make you disconnect. This is what I feel when going against this version of Legion. When I play as them I can clearly see the frustration in the survivor camp. It is not healthy
-
not necessarily being nerfed, that's not what I said. I said they need to be changed. I can't see the point of a continuous stream of mending when I play as a survivor. If the purpose is to slow the game down, a repetitive boring action is not the right thing to do and Legion is not balanceable with the current power.
-
and yet kill rates are over 50% and most matches end up with a 2k plus so your story doesn't add up. You are almost guaranteed a 2k with camping and tunnelling, especially with a one-shot killer. Camp and tunnel if you wish to win. Killers are winning left and right but since they are not having easy matches anymore and…
-
well if you do I see no problem with MMR, take your challenge and verse your equals. I love the soul games and I don't complain about the king of storm being stronger than me, I get better and I beat it. DBD is the same, the time for easy 4Ks is gone
-
That is very UNTRUE. Before MMR killers could win most matches playing fair, that meant that they could beat most teams when playing at 70/75% their true capacity, with the occasional SWF team to beat them. That was clearly a problem since you are not supposed to win consistently when not playing at your full potential.…
-
This is the issue with some killer mains, you just stomped a team and you are still complaining. You are not supposed to stomp teams while playing at 70% of your skill. If the opposing team is trying to win, you are supposed to be able to beat them by trying as hard, which you did. In this match you were clearly the…
-
Today was crazy indeed, it is the first time I have ever seen snow in Camden in April
-
She plays nurse as well as other killers. I got wrecked by Sluzzy who was playing doctor, certainly not a top tier killer
-
Sluzzy has thousands of hours in the game and she often is at the top of the killer leaderboard, just saying
-
The game is killer-sided. The stomps are real, if a killer wants to play scummy they will destroy most groups. As for solo... not even funny
-
Because killers are still stomping survivors left and right, kill rates are above 50% and Otz experiment showed that killers can 3K + perk/addonless. Just say you want your easy 4k, come on
-
this game is not survivor-sided. The killing rates are at around 50 % which means that the game is balanced. Killers are only annoyed because the time of the easy 4ks is over, and that will never come back just accept it
-
Slamming gens in 3 minutes should not happen either, by removing camping and tunnelling then you can introduce real, compulsory secondary objectives for survivors. As a result everyone has more interactions, longer and more meaningful games, there is ZERO reason to defend camping, like there is no reason to defend gen…
-
This is a videogame, and it is supposed to be enjoyable for everyone. Camping and tunnelling destroy can destroy the fun, completely. The hooking mechanic has to be deleted, it is the biggest source of toxicity in this game. Survivors should just go down and respawn in a safe area of the map, where killers have no access,…
-
With my 400 hours on Legion I would suggest this killer. She is easy to use and works well against new and average survivors. She becomes quite hard to win with at high level, but by then your friend will know what they like and can pick a better killer.
-
yes, longer games and stronger killers in exchange for removal of camping and tunnelling. I would be up for it
-
Camping is NEVER ok! But it is not the killer's fault either. The problem is a potentially toxic mechanic. Camping and tunnelling only happens because the killer is allowed to by the game, the entire hook mechanic can bring the biggest amount of toxicity in the game (killer-wise). Once a survivor is downed they should just…
