Had some INSANE matches playing as both...Doc can find people nonstop, and the hallucinations are a veritable neon sign pointing at survivors. Myers...is slasher incarnate in this mode. Like you said, just sneaking up on someone and hitting T3 as soon as they run is straight out of the movies!
-
EXACTLY!!
-
-
This is rather extreme, no? Just give it some time and make adjustments where needed. A little change never hurt anyone.
-
THANK YOU. Lots of folks just being humbled I guess. Explains the tantrums lol. I play survivor and killer as well, and do what I've always done. The word that caught my eye in your post is "adapt". That's a mic drop right there... it's the player's responsibility to make adjustments.
-
Help me out, I'm not following your meaning...
-
Alright. So let me ask you, how do you define playing "normally"? See what I mean? The one playing killer has to apply pressure, has to keep you off of generators. It's how they prevent escape. I don't see how standing at a hook helps, but if they are in the vicinity of a hooked survivor in order to swoop in on a would be…
-
OK. So you just want easy wins. This forum is overflowing with complaints, but the reality is you win some, you lose some. The developers don't need to cater to you, just try some different builds. It's supposed to present a challenge. Why play if it's going to be near-effortless to get the "W"?
-
OK. Now being unhooked and knocked down again almost immediately is frustrating, for sure. How can the mechanics be changed though? In a way that doesn't turn DBD into a completely different game? Know what I mean? Let's be honest, in solo Q your teammates can befar more dangerous to you than the killer.
-
Why? Think of DBD in realistic terms. Survivors are not provided walkie talkies in the lore, right? In the trial it's every person for themselves... Being on opposite sides of the map chatting with each other about what the killer is doing, what direction they are heading...totally removes any challenge from the game. The…
-
What's the problem though? It's not impossible to escape when playing survivor. With the new changes to the game, that just means you have to play differently to get the results you want.
-
So what exactly is the issue? You lost? So? You are not entitled to win. Just change some perks, try different play styles and go from there.
-
It's a horror game. Don't killers "tunnel" and "camp" in horror movies? Shouldn't a horror themed game possess similar elements? There's no issue here. Just try different builds when you play survivor to get better results. You can't honestly demand that people play ineffectively so it's easier for you to win. That's…
-
The Mummy. This version (Imhotep). Ahmanet could be an alternate cosmetic/skin.
-
I think folks need a sense of humor about this too. It's a game, after all. What stands out on this forum is arrogance and entitlement. People want to win EVERY game and feel their desires should be met no matter the effect on others. You win some, you lose some. Utilize the tactics and resources that will get your desired…
-
Snatching survivors off of generators as Ghostface. Survivor: rescuing the last teammate and escaping with them.
-
The only way around that is SWF, right? Solo Q is challenging in part because of the random teammates and lack of communication. It comes with the territory. All you can do is put forth your best effort.
-
That was tough. It happens that way sometimes. You can't control another person's play style or ask them to play differently. You have to adapt and see if you can get out of there. If not, just learn from it and on to the next match. You won't win every game.
-
Can you explain more? How can certain players receive a buff? Know what I mean? How would BHVR be able to change the game so that only solo queue players benefit? Can you give an example/hypothetical scenario of what it would look like?
-
OP, what you did was very cool. 👍🏾
-
It's not that serious OP. It's nothing more than people playing a game for entertainment. You're reading into it. The killer has an objective that is in direct opposition to the survivor. Their success=your failure. And vice versa. That's the way the game is played.
-
It's always fun to put both on in a lobby full of flashlights. Pretending to dodge the beam then rushing the survivor👍🏾
-
🤔 OP, if you were to receive the notification that you speak of, what are the benefits? How would that information affect your gameplay?
-
🙄😮💨 OP... Do you just want survivors to stand around waiting to be sacrificed? You just want to win every game easily? It's a competition. If you want to win, work for it. If BHVR makes changes, then you do the same. Adapt.
-
OP. What? You are not supposed to win 100% of the games. The game is not designed that way. Neither is real life lol. If you play long enough you will lose. Sometimes you will lose badly, to the point that you are not that competitive. It's experience, just learn from it. Why would the game inform you that you will face…
-
I like this game. It's fun, and exciting. It also requires some tactical planning which is what I find most appealing. The complaints about the game from the community revolve around people being sore losers. You will not 4k or escape EVERY trial. That's not supposed to happen. Life doesn't work that way, why would this…
-
That's what I was thinking too (forced penance). Maybe combine forced penance with make your choice and blood echo or something.
-
This is the best comment I've read on the forum. I've never seen so many people in one place complain about absolutely everything. I haven't played DBD in months, and it will be a few more months before I can. These changes will make it feel*almost* like a new game. And I'm looking forward to a fresh experience. And the…
-
We really should wait until we have experienced these charges in real time. Change can be, and often is, a good thing. Experience the changes first and then make critiques. People are complaining without actually playing. Just wait and see, you might be surprised.
-
When you prestige all of the teachable are available for all other survivors/killers without opening the bloodweb. Prestige 2 and 3 provides the teachables at tier 2 or 3, respectively. That's better than the original system. By far. It would seem that would require less playing time as well to make specific perks…
-
The changes require us to change as well. Is that really a bad thing? If you think about it, you will automatically start adjusting your play style after a few trials once these changes roll out. And the game is supposed to be challenging. BHVR is doing their part by making new challenges, so to speak. This keeps the game…
-
Cool! I like learning little tidbits like that. Thanks for sharing.
-
OP give yourself time to adjust to the change and then see what you think. It's too early to know for sure what your experiences will be. Use this time to come up with new perk combinations based on the proposed changes. 👍🏾
-
The Terminator. The Druid from Slasher season 3. The Hammer and The Juggernaut from Thir13en Ghosts.
-
Ahhhhhhh. Gotcha. Thanks!!👍🏾
-
Genuine question...I stumbled on an article about this, then came to the forum to see what people are saying. Can someone explain why this is a bad thing?
-
You will not win every time. That's life. I paid 11 dollars for this game. It's pretty fun. That's it.
-
I will because I always have. Why would you stop playing killer because of this?
-
People are going to continue playing their favorite characters, using their favorite perks. The point of the new system is to decrease the frequency of squash matches. Good on BHVR for making that happen. There's literally nothing to complain about...unless you just want squash matches...which would mean YOU are a part of…
-
Just take the L🤣 It's not that deep. It's a video game. You're not entitled to victory.
-
The game is neither boring nor toxic. You just complain too much. DBD is a simple game, and is easy to enjoy, whether you play survivor, killer, or both. Just play the game and have fun. It's simple.
-
-Extraterrestrial killer -human abductee survivor -killer's spaceship is the map Killer would be a combination of the Borg from Star Trek and the Necromongers from Chronicles of Riddick.
-
Yep. Faster movement and vault speed in tier 1, unlimited stalk, brutal strength base kit (during tier 3). Just some ideas off the top of my head. I agree with you, I would like to see some tweaks to The Shape.
-
I don't do either of those things when I play. I don't complain when it happens to me though. It's a video game🤷🏾♂️
-
What about a Sheva Alomar skin?
-
Pgtw Thrilling tremors Sloppy butcher Nurse's calling Surge Franklin's demise Discordance
-
Claudette: great perks. I still think she has some of the best survivor perks. Especially if you intend to be team healer. The Shape: The Icon of the slasher film genre/subgenre. I don't like his perks, but his power allows me to play with some stealth early and become a force of nature later on.
-
Very well thought out!!!
-
Wonderful! Congratulations to you!
-
I like it, especially as a Myers main. He definitely lacks the menace he's known for in the films, in the DBD universe. Your ideas are good for bringing that tension from the big screen to the game.👍🏾
